Thank you! I am appreciative, grateful, and honored. A true feeling and testament of "anything is possible one step and stroke at a time." 🙂

Becoming a zentangle teacher has been my dream for many years. However, the price to become a certified zentangle teacher makes it impossible for me and many others to become a CZT.

My seminar experience was powerful. What a generous, creative, amazing community Zentangle is creating! I feel much the same as Shie about the mosaic as an amazing part of tangling together and also as a metaphor for the Zentangle experience, both at seminar and around the world. Love hearing and seeing these inspirational stories and testimonials from CZTs I admire. So moving! I'm proud to be a CZT.

Here same story , Zentangle has given me a reason to go on each and every day, I would love to become a Zentangle teacher but cannot afford it as each saving I can do then goes to my medical treatment ongoing.
I do spread the Zentangle word as I often tangle in public places here in Belgium and people passing by als me what I am doing and then I explain them what Zentangle is and how I got to know it and how it has helped me.
Meantime I think more en more people in my city are getting to know Zentangle and I already have a group of people who gather biweekly in public place and we tangle together then like someone proposes a tangle or a UA-cam CZT movie which they found, then we all look at it at our own homes and then draw it in public. It’s not like I am teaching but our group keeps growing with Zentangle lovers . Sometimes we just chat , sometimes some are drawing Tangles and so we spread Zentangle as most people here have never heard of it.
I would really love to become a CZT but unfortunately I get the feeling that it is more for the rich people then about spreading the feeling and sharing all the beautiful thing Zentangle can bring to a person.
Zentangle has given me a meaning to live for so I will be keeping drawing Zentangles and looking at Czt’s classes and video’s as it just has become a big part of my life and of me. People who know me say there is no paper or food wrapping that is safe for me I tangle on everything. Last year even on my arm cast and even with my non dominant hand ! The surgeon had never seen this before a cast full of Zentangle.
So care for each other wether you are or are not or can or cannot become a CZT .

I feel sometimes that the price is so set, to ensure that only those who are serious and committed to the Method actually enroll. Not to mention the cost to provide such high quality instruction that qualifies students to TEACH the ZM! A privilege, indeed! I do agree with you, though Machelle; personally, becoming a CZT has been a dream for a number of years, but the cost is prohibitive. I am medically retired and unable to work; the only income we have is my husband's, who just retired. Everyone has a story, though, and many others are "in need" as well, so mine is not unusual. I just continue to hope that one day, it might happen😊 ❤ I hope the same for others, as well! I especially loved seeing Sandy! She's just adorable! She runs wonderful FB groups and is a fabulous and kind source of information and support.❤

I’m in the same boat as everybody else and I could probably tell my story and ppl would want to pay for me to go but no, that’s not what I want. I don’t want a free ride, I just want them to make it more attainable either payment plan or possible allow current teachers to do a
Smaller seminar you know what I mean but I get why they do it. It’s a privilege they need to know people are serious but then you hear the teacher talking about I’ve been to three or four seminars and makes me so jealous.

@heish7587 yeah, THAT part, I don't understand. I don't get how ANYONE has a few extra thousand dollars, to just keep going to the seminars. Not that I in any way don't that they are wonderful and enriching.

Taking the CZT was the best thing I ever did! I do not teach as I didn’t find a way to start on it yet

I’ve been doing zentangle for omg like 10 years and it’s my therapy I guess. Anyway, I’ve been wanting to get certified because I want to do a group at the methadone clinic that helped me get clean about 10 years ago because both zentangle and the clinic are not only the reason I’m clean and sober but the reason I’m still on this earth! I have a story, a past ppl would cry hearing but because of zentangle I finally feel like I have hope, I have a future. But I can never afford to go to a seminar. Every year goes by and I feel it’s almost unattainable. I’ll continue to try but I’m on a fixed income and it’s not easy

What powerful stories of the healing power of creativity and of a nurturing, supporting community. I feel like... those in this world that can open themselves up to either (and hopefully both) of them are rich. And those that might dismiss the value of either (I had to look up otaku!) are missing out on a richness that is essentially free because, at its heart, it doesn't not take money to be creative and it certainly doesn't take money to find and foster community. Cheers to those who receive, then turn and give back. :-)

I meant to end with: is there any other way to get certified? I’m not asking for a free ride but at all, but maybe a payment plan?

The seminar is more money than I get in a month on social security so it’s not something I’ll ever be able to afford.
