All I hear is my breath being SNATCHED, it’s like you can hear the Earth sing in their voices! Went to see the Broadway show with my mom, dad, and daughter and the vibrations of the voices in the theater literally went through your body, we all cried it was a life moment!
I have seen The Lion King on Broadway at least four times and everytime I hear the opening I start bawling! Shadowland does the same thing, too. Heather Headley does that song justice!
That is true Jaron. I am a south african singer and I can tell you now, black people from the US and Africa have the same grit and rawness making us even more similar in terms of singing. Especially in the church
I randomly found your page Jaron when the Usher tiny desk dropped. I don't know anything about singing or the terminology, yet im so drawn in by your obvious passion of singing which makes your vids so interesting & entertaining. 👍🏾 Bless king.
I’m not half way through but I love your approach to explaining the language differences. Growing up I hated the teasing of clicks which is very beautiful and complex.
This was great. If you are interested in exploring more diverse artist consider Mercy Chinwo. She has a beautiful voice and she is a native of Nigeria. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Wow this was magnificent. Since you viewed this can you please look at the originals, mama africa- Miriam Makeba, also Lady Blacksmith Mambazo, and Hugh Masekela. I would love to see you review and explain the sounds.
As a South African, this makes me proud. It's like my favourite shows did a crossover I didn't know I needed. You did amazing as usual, loved it. 😊❤️ EDIT: I think you'll love this gospel artist from SA. Her name is HLE. I don't know how to write her name phonetically but if you compress your tongue between your back teeth and say Claire without the R sound, then that's it. 😩🤣 That was a lot! But I do think you will enjoy analysing her. ua-cam.com/video/4OdBnEGtFlU/v-deo.html
Omg i love that you did this vid! I love this musical so much! And also if u have heard Pearl Khwezi sing Shadowland live you might actually die! I was on the edge of my seat when I saw her live. The resonance and power was amazing! It’s a must see show!❤
It amazes me that South Africans sing in perfect harmony without familiarity with one another or practice. Get a group of South Africans off the street and they will just songs in perfect harmony. Absolutely amazing.

One of the best musicals and best songs ever written. ❤️
This type of singing is called Ukuhlabelela . Which is used for praise and worship or calling for royalty and Ancestral chanting when in a trance
Watching this literally brought pure joy to my heart. Beautiful masterpiece!

I worked at the theater in Chicago and had the pleasure of watching for years. One of favorite plays. I know every song
I truly adore gearing songs in the click languages of Southern Africa. So beautiful to me ❤️🖤💚

Hello greetings all the way from South Africa you should try our and analyze one of our Gospel Groups "Joyous Celebration"
Glad you know they sing in isiZulu . Zulu uyasabeka ❤ 💙 💜
I wish Endless Night and Shadowland were sung separately. Their powerful and amazing songs but I really appreciated and loved the mashup.
Could you please do a voice analysis on Gabriel Henrique "oh holy night" 🙏.
🥰🥰🥰
please react to morissette amon - gusto ko ng bumitaw live band performance
Alison Krauss doesn’t sing with vibrato.
Bruh it's called a diaphragm not breathing muscles
Diaphragm is supported by the abs….we know what he’s saying!
I know he's saying! Geez....
The diaphragm isn’t the only breathing muscle. There are also muscles that support the rib cage that are involved in speech/singing breathing.
Intercostal muscles
