Even Aputure said if you want a rich yellow color to choose your white temperature and then use a GEL when working with an RGB LED fixture. Great Channel!
Late night work trying to figure out some grip problems the production forced me to solve (i'm a gaffer, big rip) and your joke on the "if you gel this light... i will find you" makes me having a way better evening already! Great channel, great energy, keep up !
Hahaha truth is I found out after this ep that there are good reasons you may wanna gel an RGBWW LED. At the same time, there’s a ton of reasons you don’t have to. I’m gonna address it soon and eat my own words. What did you have go on today bud?
@@GripTips Oh yeah ? I'm eager to catch what could be the use of physical gels onto that thing ! I'm actually pro-LED, so i'm really happy to see that Arri is getting some competition to its skypanels (sort of) I'm still a student in film prod though, having already a diploma of physics and some decent milage on sets, i found myself getting contracts as a gaffer in Montreal ahah, and sometimes low budget production become a little bit sketchy. Today I had to think and build (in my mind) a 1960s mail van-size rig for a RED camera, and car rigging stuff is brand new to me so i went onto a lot of videos to understand the tools and tricks! So yours came really handy, thanks for that! And also, your energy is different that the "i wanna kill myself" vibe that 99% of these videos have ! (#2005MatthewsBrandedVideosin4/3, you name it)
I'm reposting my comment. Thanks for such an in depth review! This is shaping up to be a game changing light, there's just so many easy to use capabilities that blow away established fixtures at this price point. 1:45 Looks like your cable management advice from the 300x video was not implemented :( Also the rgb cherry comment make me spit my coffee.
Sooo it’s a basically a DMG SL1-MIX with an Aputure logo on it then ...?( admittedly the SL1 probably includes less filters cause DMG’s been bought by Rosco now so I guess they didn’t include Lee filters in there)
Yes, any light can be hung realistically as long as the rigging hardware you are hanging the lights on to, can handle the load. Not sure what your setup is but feel free to reach out to me on Instagram or Facebook with your cyc wall and I can help ya from there
Thanks I more so meant like slave mode if 3-5 were hung would using the controller you showed turn them on and off since they will be in the air. Thanks, I’ll use your link also 😊
I'm really loving my nova so far.
Thanks to whoever caught my interlacing issue on the first upload
Must have been someone who cared.
Supernova is a cool name! My money is on p600c. Thanks for an EXCELLENT review.

Great Channel!
Didn't know this thanks for the tip. I've got a p60c and thinking of this one. Lack of true rich yellow is a bummer but I'll take your suggestion
A grip talking about taking it easy on a knob......is like saying Godzilla tip toed threw the city ;)

I've used this light pretty extensively at this point, but I still love watching your episodes.
Aebon Studio thanks man I appreciate it. What have you used it on so far?
@@GripTips Gaffed with it on a feature in March before it was released and then just got off a project where the rental house had it!
Aebon Studio nice man, super jealous
short and sweet. thanks
Great video! Fun and very informative!

Edward Dignan pahahahaha
I love your fp T.
Great review.
Nice one 👍
Yeah, but will it take a shotgun blast? Good video - thanks for the legit perspective.
I mean... I’d pay to see that hahaha PULL!
I keep expecting someone shouting GRIP TIPS! In the intro, until I realised it’s not Film Riot I’m watching😅

Sir
Is it can set single color strobe like (red strobe) in nova p300c.
If it can how?
You should snag a MC, same RGBWW tech in a tiny form factor
Almost did! I’m really happy I waited though
Who here knew he was going to “go there”........?
SUPER NOVA
Can multiple of these lights be hung from the ceiling and controlled with a controller? THinking about using P300c to light a Cyc wall.

@@TunedinTony oh yea, you could use Sidus link or a DMX system for all of that
This looks like a heckuva light!
Does the phone integration require a wifi system to go through?
The app uses Bluetooth
