I got mine yesterday but the weather was bad so far. So I just set up the first quad on it and then tried it in the DRL sim. The radio just feels great in the hand and you charge while doing sim training. Love it so far.

I got mine today, I haven’t flown with it yet. I absolutely LOVE how it feels! It doesn’t feel cheaply made whatsoever, any one who said it was hasn’t held it? I fly with my thumbs, and I think TBS built the perfect radio for me. I sure hope it makes me fly smoother
Only simmed with mine, in a hour matching my current times. It's such a a solid build@!! It does look cheap but no way is it..

You can unscrew gimbal sticks and make it shorter on every taranis radio.. I use thumbs and that's one of first things I have done

Thanks man! Yeah, I think I trust it enough now, I have some friends running the micro that have taken way more risks than I've ever taken and so it's giving me quite a bit of confidence
I've run a micro tx for a couple of years on both LR wings and quads. Power output has never been an issue. The only reason I might get the full size was for the Bluetooth telemetry for my wings.
Just so you guys know.. mine came this week, neck strap holder included.. so wait till yours arrives before ordering the holder
It become boring that since last few days every pilot is doing the same kinda review etc. Don't get me wrong, but it looks like a huge hype. What it makes useless for me is no 2.4. I fly whoops. Sorry, I tried to make it different. Honestly, people are excited because it is an exciting radio, some people might not find it perfect for what they wanna do but the radio itself is awesome!
I've got another video coming in 10 to 15 days from a trip, it'll be a bit different than the others but still cool and then we'll see when I get to travel again, I've been busy working a lot in Jan but I'm planning on this year with exciting stuff coming soon ✌️
@@Fincky You don't need to be sorry :) It is just my point of view. Take a look on utube. Whoever holds this radio in their hands (or even some who are even still waiting for it) are doing now the review. You did the review in the different way, I really appreciate it. I watched the video from A to Z. I like your point of view, I mean it. But, I prefer your videos talking about great spots you visit, great people you meet or some sort of tutorials. This time it is sort of repetitive because almost everyone did it already. As you mentioned Portugal or even Dubai you made me hungry for nice fpv videos of yours from those beautiful places. So, I am waiting for your new post :) Cheers mate! :)

Great video, just got mine and loving it so far! Did you loosen the springs in yours or do you like the stiffer feel?
I did yeah! Actually replaced the springs entirely with the looser ones provided in the box. I like to fly pretty loose sticks

This seems to be a great radio for beginner fpv pilots like me. Who are switching over to Crossfire for the first time, I'm sold being new to Crossfire. My flying is till local so to have the power to punch thru objects is more important that, being able to go 1 to 1.5 miles away.
In my opinion, it's good for everyone honestly! But yeah a really good product to enter the crossfire universe
Awesome review! I was wondering if this radio is a viable choice for tiny whoop flyers. For example, the Mobula 6 or Tinyhawk 2 with built in frsky compatible receivers. I fly mostly 5" 6s quads but I also fly and review tiny whoops. I was thinking of picking one of these up but it would suck if I need a separate radio for whoops or micros that don't need massive range. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

The most highly anticipated but also the most over hyped product in years. I will wait until the first Tangos are used by the masses before trying to form an opinion myself.
For the hype I know that it wasn't TBS's intention, it's mostly people that got really really excited for it and blew it out of proportions but TBS didn't really want that, as a matter of fact, I wanted to show a document that I got from TBS along with the radio clearly saying in bold and underlined "Do not tease" anything but felt like it didn't make that much of a difference to show it or not
@@Fincky I wasn't expecting to buy a new radio at all this year. Everybody was disappointed when they released it and when I saw it I was like... Whaaaat. They got it absolutely right! Portable, simple, and with XF integrated! Sure it's not perfect but do you really need more? I've had a Taranis before and now I mostly fly a Nirvana with full crossfire: this remote is aweeesome!

Any pincher reviewing this radio? I'm most interested in their opinion, you mentioned Steele but he's kind of in between with his hybrid pinch.
Did I mention Steele in this video? I'm not sure... I think Kabab FPV actually pinches, Trappy does too and he says he unscrews the sticks to make them longer

the folding/locking gimbal thing is not new......just new to fpv....I used them 20 years ago on a really high end soldering station from germany. They were Identical in quality/design/size etc as I see it, and I have seen them (in more basic form) on folding switch's that fold to clear under a lockable cover on a modular machine control panel. quality modular hand tools often have a simlar concept.. The Idea is surely far from new.
elle aurait était parfaite si ils avaient pensé à la possibilité de pouvoir utiliser pour certaines conditions un module full, en déporté par exemple, une bat., un full et un cordon. il suffit de sortir le ppm des gimballs...
Fab's tube ils y ont pensé mais le souci c’est que ça dénaturait l’expérience selon eux. Du coup ils ont décidé de pas avoir de module à l’arrière par exemple mais franchement en 250 on va loin déjà :)
@@Fincky une prise sur la radio et plus tard, un module batterie pour accueillir le full, un cordon. ça aurait laissé le choix et permis de pas se mettre le full derrière l'oreille. juste une petite prise aurait pu permettre ceci (à priori) et faisait vendre l'ugrade sans grands développements, je pense d'ailleur que des bidouilles dans ce sens vont vite arriver .
salut mec (je me permets de te parler en français aha), je veux renouveler tout mon matos fpv, est ce que je peux me faire un bon équipement avec 1500€ ? je voudrais une TBS tango 2, un dji system (tu en penses quoi?) et un quad de bonne qualité (+ tous les accessoires qu'il faut évidemment) ! C'est possible ?
Nice review, but no way I will agree that the sticks are worth almost 25% of the total price, no, it is an extra? Yes, but it should have been defaulted for the radio. Also not having a small crossfire receiver at around 10-15$ is real bad.
Well, that's what they've determined it cost and went out of their way to make a cheaper version for people that don't see it or want to save. I think it's a good thing that they understood that. Otherwise we would have just had a $200 version and no option for someone that wants to spend less
it was default in the radio. then we heard complaints from people such as yourselves, and made a cheaper option.

how come this could be better than my DJI remote?
Well, Crossfire for one, the most reliable and tested radio protocol on the market that will take you further than any other. The DJI remote has proven to be extremely unreliable. I've seen a friend of mine lose a drone while flying long range, he still had full video. The DJI controller is also made a lot cheaper than this one, it's bigger with less features (no way screen, all the OpenTX features, like curves and stuff), and basically most of the points mentioned like portability, foot print etc

Pretty sure UAVtech did some tests and found the DJI configured with low latency Sbus was more consistent and had lower latency then....
Clearly TBS wants us all to buy expensive plane tickets so we can get toiletry bags for our Tango 2s 😜

Yeah I mean, it's quite a bit of extra electronics to add on... don't know if it'll happen. Looks easier to add a crossfire to whatever you wanna fly instead to me but yeah

Le ràge test sur la wing n’a pas trop de valeur pr’le fpv du a la frame en carbon non? Perso ca me saoul quils n’aient pas juste mis deux petites prises pr stick le full size en dessous. Si y a un mode (pas aussi chaud que le 500mw 😱😱) ca pourrait me debloquer.et revendréma xlite pro... car hormis ca, elle a tout ce que je veux.
Trappy a fait un live aujourd'hui ou il a dit qu'ils avaient pensé à mettre la place pour le module derrière mais que ça génait vraiment trop la prise en main. Du coup ils l'ont pas fait mais ont dit que c'était envisageable
@@Fincky par contre j'ai cru lire que du 2w même en branchant à une lipo externe, ça va tuer la batterie interne... A voir les mode sinon...
It doesn’t have full size gimbals according to KababFPV
They are the same size as the Futaba gimbals so I don't know...
I think KababFPV said it was full size gimbals, but maximum sticks travel is a bit reduced compared to a X9D (~20%)

Pulling my normal radio out of the bag is almost as annoying as putting all the antennas on my goggles. It's not super complicated or anything, just annoying. I really like the thought they put into the portability.

Des tes anglais ce n'est pas ce qui manque, mais des test FR... dommage de la part d'un Français... mais bon je comprend c'est pour faire de la vue.
Ça doit pas faire longtemps que tu me suis, j'ai expliqué plusieurs fois pourquoi ma chaine est en Anglais mainte et mainte fois, le but de cette chaine c'est de représenter la France à l'international et de représenter des pilotes qui ont pas l'occaz de le faire eux même.
Pour ce qui est du Français, demain soir, on fait un live sur la chaine de Culture FPV qui parlera que de la Tango 2 et tout en Français bien sûr, à demain!

Disappointed. I was hoping after going to the DCL racing with Ummagawd we will see some vlog about that. Nothing. Then a month gap and now Tango 2 english speaking advert #17. Nothing has happened in the last two month worth blogging about? Not popular I know, but that is what I thought when watching the video.
sorry man DCL has asked us to wait until mid of this month to post anything about our trip there. Good news is that you can expect a video from us pretty soon.
As for things worth blogging about, I’ve been working a lot since I’ve come back from the US and I can’t vlog every gig I get, some straight up don’t want to, some I just wanna focus on the work. Sorry, my job isn’t this channel and I just don’t want to post the same “going for a flight session” over and over again. I’m trying to bring something different every time but this doesn’t happen just like that and it’s been harder with the work I got lately.
As for this video, this ain’t an ad, I made it cause I’m one of the guys that used it the most before anyone else did and thought I had something to share, sorry you didn’t like it

Man! Like it or not, people have been waiting for it for a long time and I haven't seen people look forward to a release like that seen I've started FPV. That's all the title meant.
I suppose you haven't had one in your hands, it's nothing like the X-Lite, I hated the X-Lite and I'm loving this one. I don't need to shill for anything, making these videos or the development work with FPV companies I work with actually represent a pretty big loss compared to what I make in a day of work. I do them because I want to share what I know about stuff that interest people and maybe it'll help out someone.
