Nice walkthrough of your performance. I’m glad you went through your sound design as well. Very informative. One of these days I’ll get better at performing with my Deluge. Thanks for the inspiration.
No problem at all! Really glad you found it helpful. There's so much I want to do on this thing, but I tend to play is safe when performing. I want to do more filter sweeps and fade things in and out rather than just launching, but it's so easy to mess up when you're in the moment. Hopefully I'll break down at barrier with more practice :)
Another top notch video. Good explanation of the looper by the way. I’ve seen a few, but never totally got my head round it. The concept of the routing track has cleared up a few things for me. Thank you. Keep making the videos!
Thanks so much! It took me a while to get my head around it (to be honest, I still kind of am). Hoping to make a lot more Deluge vids again soon, a complete series maybe, just need to find more time around work and my art channel.
@@RSKT_music Totally understand. You can't do it all. I heard a child in the background at one point. Maybe they could be used for background vocals next time 😀. Good luck! 🙏
@@ceetronic haha was wondering if anyone would pick up on that. I have a very energetic 8 month old son and 3 year old daughter. Throw is some paper thin walls and there's a loooot of noise removal I have to do in post. My daughter's already made her own song in Ableton though! Makes me so proud :)
Your explanations are really clear for me. Best deluge walkthrough, with musical craftmanship. (I was hoping more for more in-depth live midi\audio performance looping tips though). More please!
Are the live loop recording steps listed in the manual? It seems all video demos just perform. No one says or lists the steps with a lot of Deluge videos.
Yup, there's a whole section on looping in the manual. You can download the manual for free from the Synthstrom website. You still need your hands to use some of the looper though, unless you get the right midi pedal to control it. Synthstrom used to sell one, but I don't think they do any more. I recently found that someone made a patch on the Empress Zoia Pedal to help control the looper and it's various functions, but I haven't given it a go yet.
@@RSKT_music thanks for reply. I surely need to use it more and I guess things will get better for me. Watching your video and some of Ron's videos I get caught up trying to copy what you are doing. It would be helpful to have steps to follow for certainty on live loop recording. Thanks anyways...looking forward to Deluge continued growth (in my hands mostly).
Yeah I get what you mean. To be honest, I've only used the looper a few times and every time I do I have to relearn how to use it all over again. I might do a seperate video on it in the future, and might also try out the zoia pedal in that video too. We'll see. In the meantime, there's a video by Ollie Loops called "Deluge Looper Explained" that does a pretty decent job of covering all of the features. I'll link it here for you ua-cam.com/video/qr-Jb6XAGB4/v-deo.html
So much creativity from such a tiny box, loving it!
Thanks heaps! I'm hoping to have more deluge stuff out soon :)

Thanks so much! I'm actually considering making a little series with a complete walkthrough for the Deluge. Might just do it :)
Great stuff 👍
Thank you :)
Bro your videos are really good. Please invest in better audio interface so you can record everything in stereo :) Please!
Haha, cheers, I might just do that. Trying to decide if I should get a better interface or a zoom recorder. Both would be great options.
Really loving Boards of Deluge btw. Gonna have to pick up the other ones soon :)
@@RSKT_music Get both! ;P I really enjoy my zoom and my XR18 mixer / audio interface.
@@RSKT_music Thank you and have fun!
@@Synth-PatchesCom thanks for the recommendations. I'll check em out :)
