Shane no that’s not even close to what he said? He didn’t say “go hide in a bathroom”, he said to “somewhat cover up”. I’m not even on his side but your distorting his opinion in order to belittle his argument. It annoys me to even see someone take a loud phone call in a quiet place, but if that person would half whisper or even make it seem like he’s making an effort to be quiet, then I’d have no problem with him. It’s just the effort of doing literally ANYTHING to accommodate the people whom you know might not be fully comfortable with it, that’s all you have to do. Shane he said “OR somewhere away from public view”. Also if I just put my hand over my face, my face is now “away from public view” meaning no one can see it, and no one can “view” it, so just putting a hand over or a scarf would be away from public view. Also, that’s a pretty big stretch to make. Elderly people cannot help farting or drooling; if a pregnant women just spontaneously starting producing breast milk randomly and couldn’t stop excreting it, then yeah she has no responsibility to stop it. But you choose when you breastfeed, and all it’d take would be the absolute slightest effort of putting anything over the nipple to show that you’re at least doing something. That would placate 99% of people. Only complete assholes would care at that point
Nia takes most of Bill's arguments and talking points as if he is speaking to the audience and they are having an open discussion. Bill seems to forget there is an audience when Nia is making a point and takes them at face value as if they were discussing privately. Interesting dynamic.
I dont think its the natural reaction to be grosed out by breastfeeding i was raised in a culture where it was normal and as q result it never even crossed my mind to be bothered by it
The problem here is female in-group preference. The issue of breastfeeding is about neutral in my most humble opinion. Most guys don't really care, and most women do it subtly so we don't all have to watch. However, if you listen to Nia, you get to hear how women defend each other, and you'll understand that you'll never get defended like this from women when it's a male issue. They will be silent while feminists go around and claim all men are abusers, while they harass men for man-spreding, and even berate men for helping with their mansplaining. Nia is always about what she can get out of a situation.
What a piss take. As if everyone is supposed to care about everything 100% equally. Nia's a woman, she cares about women's issues. It's normal. It's especially normal when women are the ones who are being fucked over the most. She's obviously not just some man-hating radical feminist. But of course, anytime someone has a legitimate grievance, a bunch of white guys have to go "but what about us". Not everything's about you my guy.
@Chardelle Breatfeeding can be very difficult and you can't just use the bottle if it means the baby can develop the wrong technic when trying to eat. I never used a bottle and I fed my child in public but no one had a problem. Maybe because I live in Sweden where natural things as feeding a baby is seen as natural and perfectly fine to do whenever the baby is hungry. To people who don't like it: Just look away because your silly discomfort isn't more important than feeding a hungry baby.
Why does public breastfeeding piss him off? I'm so confused by this argument because at times he seems to agree it's fine, but then also describes it as indecent. Then he goes off on a tangent about the horrors of Feminism which does not seem relevant at all. Babies need to be fed and I don't see how breastfeeding in public is feminist as opposed to just parenting. There are certainly areas of society in which men are being disenfranchised, but I'm missing the connection to breastfeeding. This conversation was really weird
His argument is you don't see women breastfeeding in public often, and if they aren't covering, most men have the natural response is to be disgusted by it. But many women try to make you feel bad for it or feel bad for not accepting it immediately and you are the problem or you are the bad guy for having feelings that I don't approve of/agree with, and Bill's argument is: Its fine to feel uncomfortable about something or to not like seeing something, it doesn't make you a bad guy for not being totally accepting of something you rarely, if ever, see. He isn't saying you should go over and punch the baby or something, but its fine to feel uncomfortable about something new or different.
X0dus the problem with that is most people aren't mature enough to simply have that natural reaction and then move on with their lives. They convert that initial emotion into an opinion and next thing you know they're trying to enforce it. The whole thing ends up being overdramatised and before you know it what started off as "oh that made me uncomfortable for second" becomes "YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THAT ANYMORE". It's really silly
And Nia isn't arguing that the natural response is wrong, she's saying overall just because you have that natural response it doesn't mean it should be used to dictate how those mothers feed their babies. Nia and Bill are kind of going in circles here bc Bill goes off on random tangents about feminism and Nia doesn't properly articulate her argument enough but in the end they sound like they actually believe the same thing
I don't want to start a comment fight, but I feel like I should point out that breastfeeding and defecating are nothing alike. Feces is full of bacteria and so it contains potentially harmful pathogens that can cause sickness or infection. After touching it, hands need to be thoroughly washed. That's why we only allow people to defecate in bathrooms. It's a basic public health issue -- without proper sewage disposal, it poses a huge public health hazard. By contrast, breast milk is often the primary source of nutrients, proteins and sugars for newborns and infants, especially before they are able to consume solid foods. Breast milk is an antibacterial, antimicrobial substance that does not cause sickness or infection (and has even been shown to actively kill infections). After touching it, hands do not need to be washed. So there are perfectly sensible reasons why mothers are allowed to breastfeed in public (especially given the importance/urgency of feeding a newborn and the inconvenience of having to find a private place to do it) ... whereas the rest of us are not allowed to defecate in public. People are allowed to be disgusted by whatever they want, but it's not hard to understand why someone would be upset by the comparison of breastfeeding to shitting. As for 'man-spreading', a lot of us can't help it. You should be allowed to sit however you like (except if you're taking up more than one seat on the bus or whatever )
David Stewart The point was about being attracted to breasts and asses. Most dudes don't want to see someone shitting, even if they like the look of her ass. That's where the comparison ends. It is a decent comparison, but it doesn't prevent a reasonable person from feeling that they are still different for the reasons you stated. Bill is a perfect example.
Y2JLionHeart That's fair enough. I still don't think the comparison makes any sense, though. The disgust that we all naturally feel at the sight of feces is effectively an innate deterrent against sickness and infection. There is a threshold level of discomfort that humans naturally feel about excreting any bodily waste, because humans are biologically primed to avoid sickness/viruses/bacteria. But breastmilk is not waste. It contains immunologic agents to protect against bacteria, viruses and even parasites. My point is that human beings don't respond with the same level of innate disgust to breastfeeding as they do to other bodily excretions ... because there's an evolutionary imperative for humans to encourage it. Breastfeeding has been essential to the survival of the species for centuries/millennia and today is still the biologically normal way to feed a human infant. Further, breastfeeding provides a model for future mother/baby dyads to be familiar with normal means of infant feeding, we learn by seeing. I don't want to belabor the point, but I think science is relevant here
David Stewart I agree with you. I think the overall point is the context. I can't ogle a woman who is breast feeding (unless she's in a relationship with me 😈), because in that context it isn't appropriate to me. A woman showing her tits on Bourbon Street is a totally different context. You're exactly right about the natural aversion to shit and piss. Except for people who are into scat and piss videos, which is gross in my opinion.
David Stewart what he meant was that men find women's ass and tits attractive but they both serve a natural purpose. so we might as well have sex in public since there are no bacteria/ feces involved?
space city GTA No, I understand. But again the comparison doesn't withstand scrutiny. Sex in public is a public heath hazard. Semen and vaginal fluid can carry known pathogens, And casual and unprotected sex is recognized in furthering the spread of disease. While sex is necessary for the procreation of the species, public sex acts can easily be postponed (whereas feeding a newborn often cannot be postponed) and are not essential for caring or protecting the young of the species. Look, again, you're free to be disgusted by whatever you want, but this is a very serious issue. The World Health Organisation insists that all mothers should offer babies only breast milk until the age of six months. Breastfed infants suffer fewer childhood diseases such as respiratory and ear infections, diarrhoea and eczema; and as adults, they are less likely to become obese and therefore enjoy a lower chance of developing diabetes. Countries that discourage public breastfeeding (like France and England) tend to have significantly lower rates of breastfeeding than countries that actively encourage it. So again you're welcome to be disgusted by it, but we have to be careful that we're not discouraging women from breastfeeding. Encouraging public breastfeeding is an important way of encouraging breastfeeding in general. This is not just a debate between feminists and anti-feminists, or between some idiot kid and his idiot girlfriend ... this is a very serious issue with serious consequences
Sexualized breasts are different than mothers' breasts in public because of one word: "intimacy." The act of breastfeeding is too intimate and "special" to be so casually displayed. That's where the discomfort stems from. I think there's also a sense of "who does she think she is? The first woman to ever have a baby? We get it, lady." Other moms make it work, and guess what... if you're so overwhelmed that you can't go to the store, mall, airport, restaurant, etc. without having to feed your crying baby by whipping out your breast... maybe you shouldn't be going out. You just had a baby... stay home and feed it... OR... pack a feeding blanket, and/or a bottle. What's so important that you can't work your errands and social life around the baby's feeding schedule for a few months?? I don't buy it. PS - I have 2 children who were breastfed, but never in public.
The difference betwee. Mardi gras and breastfeeding is people choose to go to Mardi gras and they expect debauchery, but breastfeeding is done everywhere. I dont care abt breastfeeding tho doesn't bother me but I just thought I'd make that point
Exactly. It is about expectations. I would like to ask Nia if her feminist friends would ever breastfeed AT Mardi Gras. Of course not, it would ruin the mood and creep everyone out (if it were being seen as much as this woman in the airport terminal.
I love how people are commenting saying where they're from breast feeding in public is normal or people that have a problem with it need to grow up. First off we have different cultures. It's perfectly normal in some cultures for women to walk around with no shirt on. In most cultures it's considered a crime. And most people dont have a problem with a woman breastfeeding in public, that doesnt mean a person doesnt have the right to feel uncomfortable. Nia's not a stupid person but when that radical feminist attitude comes out I dont even what to hear it. She hates that the guy said "gathering ammo" even though that's a phrase used to mean gathering facts to make a point. Then she says men should avert their gaze and move on which is exactly what the guy did but she acts like he ran up to the mother and smacked the babies head off her tit and caused a scene. All the while we have manspreading laws in different parts of the world because a small group of women found a guys bulge disgusting. What happened to averting your gaze? Oh that's right it only applies to disgusting men that dont wanna see a woman breastfeeding but when women dont wanna see a mans bulge they cry about it until the laws changed. Who's the ones that need to grow up again?
I think women should feel free to breast feed in public without criticism...........and as a man I should be able to look at everything on public display without being treated like some sort of a pervert.
It is unfortunate Bill has so many fans that are basement dwelling, special needs children that frequent 4chan. It's mostly just them not coming to terms with the fact that they'll never get a woman. So, all that self hatred comes out in the form of negative comments against Nia.

in the end it all comes down to ease of options. As a guy you have the right to be grossed out. But it is quite a lot easier to turn your head and deal with your situation, than a mom to deal with the baby. Please DO take into account other peoples feelings, if it is not at the cost of your baby's needs. If it cannot be handled it IS fair game
No it’s not. By that standard you could compare sweating in public (something most people do every day) to shitting in public. Both include bodily fluids being expelled. Tell me how that’s a perfect analogy I’ll wait
Even though breast milk is not as disgusting as human feces, would you want to cover your hands in or drink human breast milk? Probably not, meaning even though it’s not some toxic substance, it is still kinda gross and unpleasant to see for some people. To be honest, if it were me, I’d just breastfeed in public and then smirk and laugh at anyone who gave me any sort of dirty look. It’d piss them off so much since they couldn’t do anything about it and that it gave me joy that they were so upset about something so trivial as breastfeeding in public. Women just need to toughen up and laugh at the men mad at them, or just decide to not deal with it and only breastfeed in private spaces. This whole notion of freaking out like Nia did in the first half of this video or start yelling about it is so pointless, at a certain point people need to just grow tougher skin and deal with the fact that not every person is going to support or approve of every little thing you do, and at a certain point you’re just going to have to grow up and deal with it, or stop doing it. Simple as that
Notice how Nia gets more upset at the words the guy uses instead of his actual point? 'YOU DON'T NEED AMMUNITION" Nia, that's what guys say when we ask for some moral support. "it's like taking a shit in public" yes, the stuff that comes out is different but the act of excreting a substance is the same. "a breast's purpose to to exude milk" "an ass' purpose is to exude poop" same act sunshine.
She’s dumb. She doesn’t realize the guy is Bills fan and obviously wrote the email to hear a comedic podcast moment. I think this is the only bit Burr has talking about breastfeeding.
"It's not the same" is the lamest non-argument ever. No two things are "the same", that's why they're different things. But in order to make sense of the world around us, we have to compare things we see to SIMILAR things we already understand/agree on. So either explain why something is a bad analogy or just concede the point.
Damn, he unloaded some truths in this one, really disarms all the usual feminist arguments. Also, you generally know you are winning the battle of ideas when they have to resort to 'just get over it'. Nia is still a sweatheart thow :)
When woman breastfeed my reaction is to look at the child, the calm contentment, they are in the zone. My normal primal reaction of drooling in a descreet way, is completely set on pause. Go figure... !
This does raise a question. Why does the world sexualize the nipple of females? You can't say the same for men and you also can't say that its the entire breast, not just the nipple because a woman can wear whatever skippy outfit she desires in the USA and get away with it, as long as her nipples are covered. So despite the fact that we know the nipple's only purpose is for breastfeed, why do people sexualize *ONLY* that part of the breast?
I don't understand how any human of any standing would have a problem with a woman feeding her child in the most NATURAL WAY at any tone. If anyone has a problem. With that then they are an asshole.
Every time I go on a Bill Burr binge I realize that there is such a thing as too much Bill Burr.
You saw a Colombian woman breastfeeding. You're a lucky man
I only drinks the finest breast meelks
From a cambodian immigrant
Tbh I don't really care, just don't get offended if I look
Or if you want a taste. Sharing is caring.
Just don’t gawk like an desperate idiot.
Nia takes most of Bill's arguments and talking points as if he is speaking to the audience and they are having an open discussion. Bill seems to forget there is an audience when Nia is making a point and takes them at face value as if they were discussing privately. Interesting dynamic.
@duster19 lol it was you?
I dont think its the natural reaction to be grosed out by breastfeeding i was raised in a culture where it was normal and as q result it never even crossed my mind to be bothered by it
And I show up with an empty glass and a handful of Oreos and all of a sudden I'm the bad guy.
I just came back to this comment section and lol’d so hard to this.
You are on a register. You know better than to make jokes like that.
I think Nia immediately forgot he first said he was being bombarded by his gf for however long and then asking for ammo/defense makes total sense...
Because he just needs to admit defeat.
Yeah and Bill is offending men. Men defend men and women defend women.
I dont see the big deal with breastfeeding in public. Ive never seen it myself in person but i dont think Id care
I love nia omggg
A baby's hunger takes priority over an adult's discomfort.
@@ellbennet exactly these people are so immature lol
Bottles dipfuck. Your move
@@jacobbelter9141 Is an option when you can't breastfeed but if you were bottlefed I would really advise against it..
Take the child to a place where normal people eat and it becomes normal
Thank you, Bill. A woman wears a low-cut tank top, braless, yet I'm not allowed to cop a look? She's showin' 'em off, but I can't glance over? WTF?
You can look just don’t be obvious. Are you a teenager or something?
Why does public breastfeeding piss him off? I'm so confused by this argument because at times he seems to agree it's fine, but then also describes it as indecent. Then he goes off on a tangent about the horrors of Feminism which does not seem relevant at all. Babies need to be fed and I don't see how breastfeeding in public is feminist as opposed to just parenting. There are certainly areas of society in which men are being disenfranchised, but I'm missing the connection to breastfeeding. This conversation was really weird
Maya Finch I agree! I feel like these annoying anti-feminism are more vocal and now way worse than feminists are
His argument is you don't see women breastfeeding in public often, and if they aren't covering, most men have the natural response is to be disgusted by it.
The bomb analogy is so dead on
“You had a disagreement. Let it go” your one to talk nia.
Apparently she doesn't mind his girlfriend having "ammo" from the feminist groups
Pick a good spot for it and conceal yourself as much as you can. Just be courteous.
This was a great conversation between Nia and Bill!!! Loved this clip!!!
I love both of them 😂😂😂 they make me laugh. When emotional and rational views clash 😂
Also ALSSOOO he wants ammo because in the BEGINING HE SAID that she kept sending him pro breast feeding websites. So i would be annoyed as well.
How did Bill marry a feminist? Blows my mind.
It's because Bill loves to argue and win against a feminist
Free material, you can't make this stuff up.
opposites attract.
Stuart Hill you know he is a character and doesnt actually hate women and anything that sulports them....
The Ying to his yang
From the word "ammo", Nia is on team woman and there isn't a lot of discussion left.
Sexualized breasts are different than mothers' breasts in public because of one word: "intimacy."
The act of breastfeeding is too intimate and "special" to be so casually displayed.
On behalf of the public, thank you.
I’d love a follow up to this one post Nia having kids. Wonder if Bill feels the same
Breast feeding in public is a none issue. Don't like it, don't look. The baby has to eat.
Nia- "We need more understanding between the sexes".
Also Nia- "Men just need to get over it."
How open minded of her 🤣🤣🤣
Well learn about biology then.
What bill said about shitting in public was so on point its weird
Why did Nia compare Madrid Gras and breastfeeding. So you prefer guys getting turned on when they see a woman breastfeeding?
God bless you, William Burr. Everything you said was right on the money and you expressed it perfectly.
But children are born everyday. So as a thinking man you should know that infants need feeding.
@@650homesbyramy2You can’t breast feed and drink at the same time you Genius.
For onCe I agree with her. Love you both. I enjoy listening to you both. Thanks.
I think women should feel free to breast feed in public without criticism...........and as a man I should be able to look at everything on public display without being treated like some sort of a pervert.
You started so well. Logic evaporated after the first statement though 4/10
I love fishing.........always manage to get a bite.
lol so the men in the comments are mad that Nia doesn't agree with everything bill says, Nia doesn't have to agree all the time.
It is unfortunate Bill has so many fans that are basement dwelling, special needs children that frequent 4chan. It's mostly just them not coming to terms with the fact that they'll never get a woman. So, all that self hatred comes out in the form of negative comments against Nia.
hey toast wow... I never thought about that. You're probably right.
+hey toast oh dude fuuuck you she does suck as far as people wanting to hear was she has to say nobody wants to hear that shit she's the definition of a "sheeple" she may be great for bill I've dated girls like her myself but keep her the fuck off the podcast for the love of god she's unbearable
Bill is attracting miserable people to his fan base. ugh
+Ron Burgandy not saying she's a bimbo I actually like her she seems fun to be around just saying there's a ton of people that watch that trash and I'm guessing they aren't the brightest
omg nia is fucking hilarious. unintentionally.
13:22 billion burr ladies and gents 👏 when men are told what to do it’s the right thing, when women are told it’s misogynistic
Lol his girl sending articles as to change his mind , I think he's allowed to ask whoever he wants
But she is citing sources and he is asking at f*cking Bill Burr.
I love them and that they make eachother think more. But Holy fuck Nia ur gonna blow my headphones idk why but she's sooooo much louder than bill even when bills loud af
in the end it all comes down to ease of options. As a guy you have the right to be grossed out. But it is quite a lot easier to turn your head and deal with your situation, than a mom to deal with the baby. Please DO take into account other peoples feelings, if it is not at the cost of your baby's needs. If it cannot be handled it IS fair game
We don't look at the concept, we look at the thing.
My god another man whining about breast feeding 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right
classic video. Also the shitting in public analogy was logically perfect
No it’s not. By that standard you could compare sweating in public (something most people do every day) to shitting in public. Both include bodily fluids being expelled. Tell me how that’s a perfect analogy I’ll wait
@@macsteezywayz4603 sweet reply ngl. But I'd say someone heavily sweating at an airport would be pretty disconcerting to witness
Bill was smart to get with Nia. Everyone hates her, but she helps keep Bill out of an echo chamber and challenges him.
With your hooha hanging out there.
Bill: "can I just finish the fucking thing?"
Nia: "No."
Bill: "okay"
Love that, I could see why he loves her, I would too
Jesus... When a woman breastfeeding she's not trying to attract somebody. Kids gotta eat, mind your business dude, it ain't hard
Lol their banter is awesome
Give my boy some ammo!!!!
This titles already got me laughing 😂
Nia is literally right there’s no real debate here at all
That wire analogy was great. If you guess wrong, they explode too.
Bill is always hilarious but something special when Nia is on. I disagree with Nia mostly but she is sharp and entertaining.
I love the dynamic between them
I agree with Nia on this.
"It's not the same" is the lamest non-argument ever. No two things are "the same", that's why they're different things. But in order to make sense of the world around us, we have to compare things we see to SIMILAR things we already understand/agree on. So either explain why something is a bad analogy or just concede the point.
Just when I thought Nia was getting pretty chill, this happens.
She's still pretty chill. Her points are valid, so are his.
"If you don't want a man who doesn't agree with breastfeeding in public, leave" is all I'd say 😂
Or they can just disagree. We’re married now.
Damn, he unloaded some truths in this one, really disarms all the usual feminist arguments. Also, you generally know you are winning the battle of ideas when they have to resort to 'just get over it'. Nia is still a sweatheart thow :)
That was a very interesting social topic. Both of them had good points of view.
When woman breastfeed my reaction is to look at the child, the calm contentment, they are in the zone. My normal primal reaction of drooling in a descreet way, is completely set on pause.
Go figure... !
👏🏾👏🏾
I'm grateful to know someone innately innerstands the difference and their physiological responds does too.
4:32 Bill Burr the calming voice of reason!? "Ohhh Jeeshus" lmao!!
Now i have seen everything 😅
I agree with Nia for one's. Nout is wrong with it , 'a second of your life' does it matter?
For ONCE!
Bill "Whatya talking about" Burr
I agree with Nia. Love you Bill BUT Nia is right. This guy needs to grow up!
No. She had ZERO talking points. The guy asked for advice from *BILL* , not a lecture from his woman.
This is like w years old, but absolutely your best couple disagreement ever.
Never got that American thing of covering up and bleeping out. Grow up :-)
"Oh yeah they also do that" 😂
I know I'm in the minorty. But I love their banter. Because Nia represents Most women.. So Bills points are useful when dealing with modern day women
I don't understand how any human of any standing would have a problem with a woman feeding her child in the most NATURAL WAY at any tone. If anyone has a problem. With that then they are an asshole. We should applaud these mothers. It's natural and how's it meant to be. For once I disagree with Bill.
"Witnessing a baby drink its dinner" is gross???????? What? Not only is it natural, it's mandatory.
So is shitting but everyone chastised that guy who took a dump in the middle of a plane
Bill Burr is not a comedian. He's a philosopher. Fucking love the guy.
Bill was right...Nia was also right. Have a nice day.
There's nothing weird about breastfeeding in public. Like at all. Why care?
