For being shot on a cell phone this sounds great! I was there too, and I really wish I had the whole darn show. Pot, hippies, a bass that rumbled your chest, Kenny's snare that you could feel, phenomenal songs and that killer voice under a perfect Colorado night - this was fantastic all around. Doesn't this guy ever age..? I was actually a little relieved when the altitude got to his voice as the show went on. Maybe he's human after all..? There were some shows he did back when where you could buy and download the music the next day. I was hoping he'd do that this time too, but no such luck. Thank you so much for putting this up!

@@0071287 Way back in the day I bought my first guitar - a black Gibson Les Paul because that's what John played. I learned all of the riffs and almost all of his songs, and played a couple in every band I've ever been in. I say that to point out that I have some experience here. One of the things I've noticed about his playing and admire him very greatly for is his skill at playing riffs from the recordings but in an easier version so that he can dance around and enjoy himself while he does it. Listen to Born on the Bayou - he isn't playing the riff at all, just banging the E7 chord. Totally works and much easier to do. I've seen him do Up Around the Bend more than once or twice, and he would usually miss a note during the opening riff. It's not really a hard riff, but it can be hard to nail it. For this show he doesn't even bother - he let Shaun do it. And notice that during Run Through the Jungle he isn't actually playing the riff behind the chorus while he's singing - he picks up the last half of the riff after he sings 'jungle'. There are similar shortcuts in lots of his live songs. Little things to be sure, things which take an anal retentive player like me to even notice. And of course his ability to come up with the riffs in the first place is legendary. I'm actually very glad that he doesn't try to nail every note of every song (like, say, the Eagles do) because it adds a lot of life and energy to the show. The man's guitar skills are tremendous, if played a little easier come concert time.
