Familiar landscape in Helsinki :) This winter of the film was quite gray and watery. Now the last years have been wonderfully white in the center of Helsinki too ... and a lot of snow work :) Keep doing what you do...
Thanks! This video (taken on 31.12.2018) was the 3rd walk I ever recorded when starting the channel (after Brno and Prague) so it has a special place in my memories. I had a few problems back then like my Zoom mic running out of battery and the firmware of the Osmo Pocket was rather unfinished. Originally I planned to return to Helsinki (and Tallinn) this summer yet I carry too much luggage at the moment. Also it's better to limit flights due to the ongoing situation. This original Osmo Pocket from then unfortunately "found" a new owner in Moldova, yet now I have the Pocket 2 (which I don't like as much) and 3 more Osmo Pocket 1 for filming in all directions. There are plans for an additional channel with editing so I hope that revisiting Helsinki will be possible in the near future. I have visited Helsinki 3 times though only during winter and hope that finally summer will work out...
Luggage often becomes a problem, I recognize the situation. Usually, camera accessories take over all the space and weight amount. In addition, it would be good to take something more clothes according to ... maybe :) Have you calculated how many steps you will have in a month as you walk?@@poptravelorg
When I travel for filming I walk 200+ km in a month for sure. That's what an app tells me. That's for 40+ videos so 4-6km on average is about right. I don't walk every day due to weather and relaxing yet often I take 2 or more videos when possible. The longest I ever walked was 64km in one day (80k+ steps) though that was more a personal fitness test circling a city in a trail.. Not recommended 😎
@@poptravelorg Hi :) 64 kilometers is already a tough accomplishment. Even if there is enough strength, the hips and bones become really sore. I got excited last winter when there was a lot of snow. I always went for a walk when there was a hard snowstorm. Afternoon and dark and no people anywhere. I walked 20-30 km. I learned inner peace while walking. I don't look at the clock but I keep going. BUT should definitely have taken breaks and stretched. I took 2 breaks myself ... and then I suffered from it for many days :)
Oh yeah, I suffered. The first 5h walking were easy, then the body had its limits. Next day I couldn't move much, the day after it was OK again. Today I shot 4 videos from 30'-50' length, BTW. I can't really relax while filming as there are many things going on : checking the map, taking photos and pointing the camera to something.. + mask on and off. Still I love traveling with filming places even though it's work - and fun
