I had a misscarriage last year in january then we made a baby january this year it was ironic but the doctor said im not high risk this year thank God and I actually feel good this year im 8 weeks :)
That’s awesome congratulations! Have you had the baby yet? I hope everything is okay with you
@@shahakhan1239 omg same! I lost my last pregnancy on last March and this March I’ve been blessed with a baby boy
This is such a great video! I wish I would have had something like this to watch before I had babies! You are helping so many people!
I'm due about a month behind you. I love these prep videos but they are also making me realize how many more things I could be doing to prepare!
This is briliant. Can imagine it will really come in handy to have all of this stuff on hand. You seem very well prepared and I can't wait for you to meet your baby girl!
Also, I have one of these inexpensive bidets that you can install on your toilet. Haven't given birth yet, but had plenty of lady issues and love it for cleaning. It shoots out cold water, and you can adjust the intensity of the spray. I use an all natural lady bits soaps in a pump bottle I buy on amazon, and it's a lifesaver.
Also 2nd pregnancy, 17 weeks pregnant with my 2nd son so it’s been 12 years since I’ve had a baby so everything has changed so much since my 1st!!!! I’m 30 years old so this is fun 😂
You should do a follow up video of what you actually used and liked. Like if you bought the earth mama and did you like the sit spray. Ect. Thanks Jess!
TIP: Freeze your pads, yes I know it's crazy but the cold will soothe your lady bits!
Super important, take your padzicle out of the freezer a good 1 minute before using it. Freezer burn on your..... is not nice!
At the end, she said she was putting them in the freezer and she showed it.
Not crazy, i did this and it was such a lifesaver. i tore so it was very soothing
Thank you for making this! I’m 32 weeks and I’ve been looking at what I’ll need postpartum!
I’m very late but was recommended this and I’m glad I watched this I’m going to be 38 weeks tomorrow. Thank you so much for making this video it’s so helpful.
You may want to bath soak in warm water couple days after with a little witch hazel in the water.
Love all this prep! I wish I had done more before having my baby.. Im 16 days post partum and honestly my stitches from my tear was the HARDEST part of it all. The first week and a half was murder. I could hardly walk.. I tried a few of these thi gs for comfort and ended up getting a wound infection despite having regular baths etc twice a day. Padsicles and salt baths and bits spritz sprays etc the doctor said could have encouraged the infection, not sure how... But worth mentioning! Having a million pads and the pull up knickers were a life saver! Goodluck x
My midwife said that a lot of their patients with infections were using Always pads, so they recommend getting a different brand for postpartum pads
One of the things that the hospital gave me to take home (thankfully) that was my LIFELINE for those first couple weeks after having my son was called a waffle cushion. It’s an inflatable cushion that you sit on with holes in it to keep you from having to sit directly on your lady parts when you have stitches and such. They recommend those more than the donut pillows because sometimes the donut pillows can create some extra pressure down there where everything sits in the one hole. It was SO helpful for me because I did have stitches and sitting was very hard. You can get them at Walgreens and places like that! Hope this helps!! Good luck on the birth of your sweet baby girl! 💕
31 weeks!!!!
Writing down on my list pretty much everything you talk about.
Definitely use the Tucks and keep them in the fridge!
Sitting in shallow water is very comfortable. I ended up taking my first sitz bath at 5 days pp. I was not sitting in a pool of blood. It totally relieves the pain. Also, I pat dry the area gently. At 4-5 weeks pp, I transitioned to Always pads (that I used for periods).
These are great ideas Jess! I still have a while before I have to worry about anything like this but I'll definitely refer back to this later!
Great video. Also watched this at 35+6 weeks pregnant with a little girl! 🙃🙃 really should start getting my kit together! 🤔
I recommend getting some preparation H as well! I had an emergency csection 3 weeks ago and still got hemmroids! Also make sure you’re stocked up on Motrin/ibuprofen
Such an organized video and description👌❤
You should definitely look into Lacti-cups! They collect your leaking milk and protect your sore, burning nipples from rubbing up against anything. You do have to make sure to follow the time restrictions for leaving breastmilk out/in the fridge, but even if you have to dump it down the drain it's still worth the protection!
Freezer meals!! Make a ton! My sister made like 30 huge pans of freezer casseroles and she ran out bc she didn’t make enough. She thought she’d be up to cooking at that point but she was still super sore and they ate a ton of fast food after they ran out of the freezer meals!
First time to be Mama 🤰🏼 , so thank you for all the informative tips & the diy padsicles !!
Thank you for sharing all these ideas I’m really interested in the sidz pray! I’m currently pregnant (31 weeks) with my second after 7 years and this feels all new to me again I’m hoping I won’t need anything since I didn’t need anything at all with my first (zero stitches or aches) but want to be prepared just in case
Congratulations, Christine! :) Yes, I hear ya! I would rather be prepared and not need to use the items than have it be the other way around. 😊👍Best of luck!
The Bellefit girdles are amazing! I had a velcro girdle for immediately post delivery and then used my Bellefit for several months as well. It provided wonderful core support and allowed me to wear more prepregnancy clothing sooner. After four babies, I’d say you are way prepared! The Earth Mama bottom spray is excellent as well as using depends. I never needed to use frozen pads at home. My midwife had some special ice packs I used post delivery while at the birth center. One thing I didn’t anticipate with my first baby was the after birth contractions as the uterus is shrinking back to its original size. Having some pain reliever and a heating pad on hand is helpful. 😊
I'm 31 weeks and I'm so glad I saw this video it help a lot thank you so much
Just a heads up! Flushable wipes aren't always flushable! Lol we had our sewer backup into our basement and the culprit was a flushable wipe! 😂 And that was on city water. You might be ok, but just thought I'd let you know 😊 cant wait for baby girl to be here!! ❤❤
Oh no! Yikes! Luckily, we've never had any issues. Hopefully they don't start now! Thanks for sharing your experience. ❤️
Flushable diapers are NEVER flushable. That is simply a marketing term to get you to buy them. Please don’t ever flush anything other then toilet paper
Right?! We live in an older home and let's just say things got ugly. I don't trust anything other than toilet tissue.
Jess it looks like you are set up well. I would suggest doing some more pads for when you come home I will never forget my daughter saying to me Mama you didn't tell me it was going to look like that after I gave birth. I tried to prepare her as well as I could she was 25 yrs old .. The ice packs were so soothing to her and the hospital even gave us some to bring home. The Dermoplast was Wonderful!!!! Praying for a successful delivery and postpartum for you . I know it is getting exciting for the two of you!!
One thing that saved my life was ice pack diapers. You split open a baby diaper and put ice in it and then tape it back shut. The hospital made them for me!!
I used everything for my 1st pregnancy. I am pregnant again and 38 weeks with contractions. Kind of late but better then never. Came looking for this video. :)
I'm so excited and happy for you and your family! You are one of my role models, i am a teacher myself and I am currently working towards starting up a UA-cam channel.
Fantastic video, good job! Thank you.
Gosh time seems to be flying. It’s good to be organised. Xxxx
FYI, a cold wash with hydrogen peroxide is great for getting blood out of fabrics.
Yes, as long as the person doesn't wash the item before hand in hot water. Hot water makes the blood stain set in. Which is than is difficult to even get out
I also had a issue with the flushable wipes , they aren’t actually flushable. I always just throw them in the trash.
I'm having my third baby next week and can say from experience you seem very prepared for post partum! I've only ever had C-sections so my sorest area is always my belly incision, and I wouldn't use a lot of the stuff you got (the girdle gave me shivers thinking about putting it on over an incision) but I hope all of it helps for your vaginal birth! Tons of adult diapers are a must have no matter which way baby arrives. Best of luck for a smooth delivery 😊
Congratulations and same to you!!! The Bellefit claims to be for both c-sections and natural (vaginal) births, which is another reason I went with this one, just in case I end up having a c-section. Wishing you the best! ❤️
I did mines today and stored them in the freezer. Thank you.
You should be prepared for a c section too.. emergency c csections happen.. I labored my first child for 17 hours until I needed a section
Colace is the best! I’ve had over 30 surgeries in the last 6 years and narcotics and anesthesia really makes you constipated. (I know TMI) Just my thoughts!
Tucks will be your best friend!
I needed a donut ring/pillow for my seat in the car because of my stitches with my first kiddo.
i love this ! can’t wait to get my stations organized! congrats 💕
Can you do more baby name hints soon? I’m trying to guess with the 6 hints already given!
Could you make a video, on what of these items came in handy after and what other items you felt like you might’ve needed but didnt prepare during postpartum. Since this video was made pre postpartum.
What kind of pads are those? Thickness is soooo much better than the huge purple ones they give in the hospital!!! Great video 👍
I recently purchased the flushable wipes that you showed and I found that they kind of "burn" when I use them so I had to switch over to the Huggies all natural wipes and they are great!
I had those plastic bottles with all three of my boys i use warm water to rinse off my lady bits comes in handy
I’m 31 weeks pregnant and ur video helps me a lot .. just I wonder which pads works better with you the one with witch hazel alcoholic or the other one ???
I do agree that having some breast pads and cream in the bathroom would be a good idea. I felt like I went through an insane amount of breast pads after my daughter was born, so changing them every time I went to the bathroom (which still felt like a lot) was nice. Flushable wipes aren't always really flushable! So be cautious with that. Plus some of them have chemicals that seriously irritate when the lady bits are tender. I think its awesome you plan to do freezer meals after! If you do any home meal delivery kits that might come in really handy at around the two or three week mark, when you're still tired but hungry as heck and want something quick. Great video! Can't wait to see baby girl and hear what her sweet name is.
My doctor never said about a support for after I had a baby do you have to wear one?
Something that helped me after postpartum when hubby went back to work was when my baby spoiled their onesies I just threw them in the wash after any pre treatments and when the load was ready to start I put my laundry detergent in close the lid and started it so simple then having to go get the baskets full of clothes and then loading
Where did you get the tummy binder? And what website? Im willing to spend money on that kind of thing.
Hospitals will give you those little squirt bottles, breast pads & tucks pads for free as well as a lot of other things that first time moms wouldn’t know & go buy themselves. Save yourself the money & ask your doctor what is supplied to you by the hospital and what you should bring yourself 😊
What kind of witch hazel have you used? Distilled one or gel one?!
u might want to make more pads
*****14:30** **** is where she starts showing us how to make the pad sickles
does the witch hazel need to be fragrance free? I have one which is alcohol free but is with the fragrance of rose petals.
hello love thanks for the tips Question when did you put on the waist trainer? right after birth or days after?
Do you add a pad in the disposable pants or do they have pads inside.
Have never heard of these frozen things. Two kids absolutely no problem. But I guess if you are hurting down there I guess they could help.
I’m watching this at 35 +6 weeks too.
What do I do if we can't get witch hazel here
Can you do an update on what you did use or did like or anything you wished you had that you didn’t think of ahead of time?
Hi Claire! I actually did a video on this! 😊 If you go to the "videos" tab on our channel and scroll down, it's not too far down. Or you should be able to search "postpartum" in the search bar on our channel. I hope you find it helpful! ❤ ~Jess
Hi Jess, do the padsicles leak?
Depends literally saved my life postpartum! I got that lovely part of afterbirth where you can’t control your bladder for like a week and the depends were my best friend! They were also amazing for when my water broke because I leaked alllll day long haha! 😂
Another tip- the temperature of the water in the parry bottle matters! Warm was best for me. Cold stung.
I just made some of these pads too because I am due in 5 weeks! I’m not sure how true it is, but I read where you want to put a piece of foil down on the pad after you put your aloe, witch hazel and essential oils on...when you roll it up it’s supposed to help the pad not stick together when it freezes? I’m not sure if the aloe would actually cause the pad to stick together though?
I’ve heard this as well. I saw someone suggest wax paper. I wondering if foil would be okay. Like do you think the foil will contaminate the pad at all?
مره مبسوطه ان الفديوهات الأجنبيه صايره مترجمه ❤️❤️❤️
What is the peri bottle used for? Sorry I really don’t know and I’m 30wks pregnant.
No worries! :) It's to squirt "down there" because you won't want to wipe with toilet paper after giving birth. Congrats, mama!!!
Milkies I've heard are so much better than the disposable breast pads because it collect the milk for you to stash rather than sop it and throw away. I will be using them for this pregnancy and postpartum.
What size is the always discreet adult
Diaper? Since you have used it before, do you think the sizing is true to size?
Can u please update us with how well u liked the girdle and if it worked good or not? Please☺
Absolutely! I definitely plan on doing postpartum videos and will update you. :)
PLEASE don’t put products with alcohol on your “bits”! Store padzicles in a zip-lock bag in the freezer (label the bag, not the padzicle, in case the ink leaks into liquid in the bag). Take them out and let them sit for a good minute before using (don’t freeze your “bits”!)
I did the padciscles and I hated them right away. I regret putting lavender essential oil on them. The smell was overwhelming to me. Just an FYI. I don’t mind the smell of lavender usually but i didn’t like it coming from my lady parts.
Hi ,Nichols' Nook i am a first time mom i hope you are enjoying with your little one can you help explain to me what are those pads you are putting in a freezer for? i am so confused what they help moms for? thank you.
I've been using adult underwear for heavy periods for years! And yes, for a miscarriage. Expecting, so I'm glad I'm already well stocked!
Can I use the raw aloe plant if I am not getting alcohol free aloe vera
Collace forces bowel movements and is uncomfortable to feel. I use smoothie move tea, it is natural tea with a natural stimulate.
Does anyone here know some brand of soothing gel I can use for my padsicle?
Great video! Thanks for sharing :)
After having my 1st baby i bled for 3 mnths straight. Then i got on the birth control implant and i had a reaction to it so i then bled for a yr straight. My drs told me i had to wait the 3 yrs to get it took out. It was hell
Angela Williams implants suck wish you the best I lost 3 babies the implant doesn't stop you from getting pregnant it can even have you keep a baby for months in your womb growing I was three months along before it forced an miscarriage I hadn't even known until I delivered the tiny fetus. I got the implant taken out a week later used other birth control and when we were ready we tried and lost 2 more each of them had the same chemical the implant did. we finally got our daughter almost a year later.
PSA your doctor cannot tell you no. That’s a malpractice suit if I’ve ever heard of one. It’s your body. If you want it out and there’s no medical reason not to remove it they have to take it out.
random chicks music my implant kept me from getting pregnant but I bled almost constantly for the 5 months I had it in. I told my doc I wasn’t gonna deal with it anymore so she had no problem taking it out. Currently pregnant with my first! So sorry about your losses but happy you got your rainbow baby ❤️
I'm 37 weeks and I'm beginning to prep. Late start I know 😅
I am 19 weeks pregnant and I just saw your video because I’m doing more research is there any more pregnancy health tips you have lol I’m trying to find them but you have a lot of vlogs 😂😂
Quick question so is the frida mom kit not necessary if I buy everything u have ??
Hi there! So it has now been a couple of years since I made this video and I have had both babies now. I found that I didn't really need the pads! 😊 I ended up using the "Always" adult diapers with tucks pads and the spray that they gave me at the hospital. Hope that helps!
Good luck
So I know a lot of people tell horror stories.. but after I had my daughter I didn't need an ice pack or anything like that.. I took motrin while in the hospital and colace for a week or so after.. and I only bled for about 2 and a half weeks after
@@JessicaElle I don't know what I would of done if I had a horrible postpartum.. I had all day sickness until 32 weeks lost a lot of weight.. I don't want another child because of how bad my pregnancy was.. and my labour was really long because I was induced... my best advice for you, would be wait as long as you can before getting induced..
Lucky. My recovery was a nightmare. Literally took 8 months before I wasn't in constant pain down there 😢 makes me scared to ever have another baby again.
Did the alcohol end up burning??? I bought aloe Vera with alcohol in it :(
I didn't have any issue with burning. 🥰 But everyone might be different. That was my experience.
Who is singing your intro song?? I am obsessed with it
Actual instruction starts from 20.5 mins
Where is the verdict of the alcohol being a problem or not
Watching y’all makes me want to get soo organized.... not Marie Kondo like most people.
Anyway, can’t believe baby girl is going to be here soo soon!
2 years later, do you stand by all of these recommendations still?
Some of those things you won't be able to wear if you have a c-section.
Instead of using wet wipes, take a clean, sterile spray bottle, add cooled boiled water, add a little witch hazel (you can add a little alcohol-free aloe if you have it). Use this to spray onto your toilet paper. This will keep you fresh, it’s gentle in your “bits”, and it’s flushable.
I love how open you are about post partum recovery. Noone wanted to talk about it with me when I had my daughter because my family is super modest. I could have really used this video
