Residue management using Happy Seeder technology

In the Indo-Gangetic plains of South Asia, residue burning is one of the major challenges in conventional tillage based management systems. Environmental pollution and soil health deterioration are major concerns to be addressed with aid of technological intervention. Introduction of new planting methods such as zero tillage and use of innovative machinery like happy seeder, zero-till planters are the climate smart agriculture practices yielding higher returns and safe environment. This video showcases the practice of climate friendly residue management and farmers view on these technologies to curtail residue burning.

It's a very effective technology. Nonetheless, expensive too. The gov should provide rental initiative for these machines for our dear farmers.
