Hearing tenor Nelson for several encores makes me a newly-won admirer of his tenor saxophone feats. Actually, I adore the tenor performance as much as I do his alto saxophone's, and wish Nelson will be much more frequent in its use - i.e., of the tenor saxophone. The tenor saxophone sound greets me as post Lester Young-Don Byas epoch; maybe Bud Johnson-Hank Mobley era. Chris Potter has made a dramatic switch from the frequency in use of the alto saxophone to tenor saxophone. Chris uses to be a masterful alto saxophonist, but switches to tenor saxophone. He, not unlike the virtuosic Michael Brecker, is now counted as an able-bodied disciple of the Great John Wm. Coltrane. More tenor saxophone without neglecting the alto sax, Nelson! In the Big League!
Good morning. a few months ago I bought the backing track of "GRACE" (Nelson Rangell), very nice! Unfortunately, some time ago I had to format the hd that contained it, forgetting to save it. If I provided you with my data, you could verify that I actually made the purchase. So, I wanted to know: to recover the base will I have to make a new purchase or is there a way to get it back without an additional expense? Thank you
I checked his website out and its like he no longer endorses P. mauriat saxophones? He's now endorsing Woodstone saxophones from japan! Any idea on these woodstone series?
I know guys that continue to change instruments mouthpieces & reeds.....don't fall into this trap....Getz changed a everything...but he was still 'Getz' and no-one could sound like him.....
