When you expect your QB to have to run this much, he's going to get physically fatigued and his mechanics are going to suffer later in games. Which affects his accuracy. It's pretty simple. Everyone can look at the tape and criticize his mechanics, but we're not doing enough hammering the organization for the fact that they're putting him in that situation by putting him in an offense that can only be productive when he runs a lot. That's sad that this is what we've built around our Quarterback after SEVEN YEARS.
Which is sad. You don't replace three offensive linemen in one year. Got hope for Voorhees and Rosengarten, but the Faalele experiment is over to me. Got to wait another year for us two drafts a guard. The only way this works is if we run the quick game offense and keep Likely on the field at all times. This line is going to need to figure out the run blocking fast.
So agree, Lamar has played Superman every year and gets very little appreciation by sports journalists and even fans. I still wish he had been traded last year to a team that wants to win with one of the most exciting QB’s ever!
He only had a few designed runs. All the scrambling and running around is on him. That is not in the playbook. Make your throws from the pocket and be done with it. His happy feet and leaving a clean pocket has nothing to do with the organization, the blocking or the playcalling. It's about his first instinct to run. He did the same stuff at Louisville. I just watched his last game and it was same stuff. 4 int's from bad throws. Scrambling for no reason. The level of blaming his poor mechanics on others is off the charts.
See, this what I'm talking about! That man is nice in the pocket. He can feel when the O-Line is callapsing, the man got to get outta there when he hear footsteps. All night #95 was on L-Freaky heels.
All of that running exhausted him. It was clear as day. Early on, his mechanics and accuracy were on point. As the game went on and the more he ran, his mechanics started slipping. Everybody wants to talk about the fact that his accuracy was off late, but not 'why'. So I'm so glad you said what you said, because our team is putting him in bad situations where his mechanics suffer.
You saw the better technique in Lamar’s throws early, but when the OLine is being bullied by the refs…it messed up their groove. We scored first, and the refs were like uh-oh! We better do something.

If a QB is scared of the rush and getting hit (being punch drunk), they suck. They are paid to stay in there and deliver the ball. If he has happy feet in a totally clean pocket because of past pressure, that is on the QB.
@bluesky7333 bruh you as a qb are not paid to stay in the pocket and get hit because your organization doesn't build the line up. You have to protect yourself first because if you as a qb get hurt that's your and the teams whole season. Take a hit or two yes but not the whole game like we seen.
@@williamkjdarden I played QB for the Gamecocks. I have been an OC for 25 years. Your job def is to stay in there and get rid of the ball on time. A QB with antsy feet is not a good QB. My point is he is too quick to give up on the pocket. Make your reads and get rid of it on time. He only did that 6 times against Chiefs. 100% completion rate when he got the ball out on time (and no pressure). He is not working within the offense when he gives up on the pocket. To add to that, he is wasting the routes the WR are running when doing this. Running too early causes him to miss people who are wide open. When he's on the move his mechanics suffer and his accuracy is poor. There are exceptions because plays are made now and then (50 yd TD to Likely), but far more plays are missed by not staying in the pocket.
Non running QBs can harp on the mechanics because they cannot relate to what it must feel like to not only run to avoid the sack but also run to gain yards. I'm not saying the mechanics aren't important but the reason as to why it was almost non-existent later in the game is because Lamar is human and got burned out.
THE EYE IN THE SKY DOESNT LIE!! There is clear footage of him moving around in a clean pocket for no reason. The moving around causes him to not see WIDE OPEN Batemen for a TD. On top of not seeing Batemen, the unnecessary movement causes him to be off balance. He is late to see Batement, then proceeds to heave the ball 50 yards in the stands 10 feet over his head. Pathetic. This play is Lamar in a nutshell. He can't make plays from the pocket because he stares down receivers, and moves around for no reason instead of going through his progressions and getting rid of the ball.
This is what happens when Bateman wants to be this stand offish dude he's the only receiver Lamar couldn't work with during off season I say Bateman still has to go!!
I'm really going to wait patiently for the features to be done on Burrow. At first take. Nick Wright. Shannon Sharpe. PTI. Almost all of their lists, have him above Lamar as 2nd or 3rd best in the league. Where's the 20 min discussions about how he should have trashed a rebuilding team, with a new coach, and a former back up at qb. He produces less than half the offense of Lamar. Loses to one of the worst teams in the league. Leads his team to 10 points against that team. Not a peep. Really is hilarious.

Lamar is great but he starts playing backyard football too often. his deep really sucks. no touch to it. when I see the long ball I know its about a 70 percent chance it will be incomplete/intercepted by an overthrow.
Finally. Break down the tape and you see how poor Lamar is at making plays in the pocket. Awful. See the crap footwork, and missing all the wide open recievers. It's pathetic how many opportunities that he missed.

Who in the hell is this guy, IT IS NOT ALL LAMARS FAULT. Just put Lamar out there by himself so he knows who he can depend on, NOBODY!
New York Giants are the closest Sara and Bobby
This is what happens when Bateman wants to be this stand offish dude he's the only receiver Lamar couldn't work with during off season I say Bateman still has to go!!
Agree!
Yep, this video cannot be a jinx. Not a jinx what so ever.
I am dead serious. I never wanted been in Cleveland to be more a Right guard than ever
I put money on NE beating the over rated bungles they suck and Burrow doesn’t win when Chase doesn’t play.
They need to get rid of nelson he doesn't have any juice left they need give Miller or wade some reps to
Bobby you’re not a fan? 😮 now I understand why it feels like something is off when you speak negatively when it comes to The Ravens. Don’t mind you speaking your perspective it’s feels different. Sarah does it differently. Hummm
Can we please just use our Rbs to run instead of Lamar.
What’s going on with Lamar. No show at practice?
Chiefs live in y’all head rent free. Thats all y’all talk about. How about cover the raiders.
Steelers played NOBODY!
He is stoppable most of the time he does it himself
FALELE WAS HORRIBLE, RESULTS ARE BCUZ LAMAR ESCAPE ABILITY
Lamar is great but he starts playing backyard football too often.
his deep really sucks. no touch to it.
when I see the long ball I know its about a 70 percent chance
it will be incomplete/intercepted by an overthrow.
Finally. Break down the tape and you see how poor Lamar is at making plays in the pocket. Awful. See the crap footwork, and missing all the wide open recievers. It's pathetic how many opportunities that he missed.
Lamar must be crushed
He played the game of his life
And still lost
He will always have that 1 pass he can’t make that leads to the L
I think his mechanics suffered from having to run . He probably got a little winded.
That makes no sense!
@@raynmaker629 Bingo. His mechanics were great early in the game. The more he ran, the more fatigued he got and his mechanics suffered.
@@segagenesis7708 especially since he didn't have a preseason to get into game shape
I'mma have to disagree with the Daniel scoring. He looked horrible
Saraaa come to the chiefs
