      You can do it! The first step to starting is setting a goal you you've already done that! Nice job!

    I love your content. Your video on scripting is what got me to this video. I thought it was a bit annoying to watch you walk from room to room, I dunno why but it doesn’t seem to be connected in any way to the storyline of the video. Other than that 10 great tips. I love the one about composition the most. I tend to miss out on better ways to compose the shots & only realize once in editing that the scene could have been way more visually appealing. Keep up the great work.

      Thank you for perspective! Honestly, filming that was kind of annoying and I didn’t like that it didn’t have anything to do with the visuals either! I’m experimenting with trying to keep videos visually interesting but I don’t think that’s how I want to do it! I’m glad you enjoyed the tips! Composition is fun to play with! Thank you for watching my content! It’s so encouraging to keep going! Is there anything you would like to see?

    You asked what our favorite part of the process is - mine is uploading to UA-cam. Finishing the video 🙂. Seriously, it is all fun, but there is nothing better than having a finished product. BTW - what is your new editing software you changed to and how was the learning curve for it?

    • @Contentclaire_ity
      @Contentclaire_ity  3 місяці тому

      I love this response! All of it is fun but uploading is so satisfying. It feels so good to have a final project.!
      I switched to CapCut. I kept seeing it everywhere but thought it was more for TikTok however, I love it for both! It has just the right amount of features for me and some AI that I enjoy taking advantage of. My favorite feature- which is also on Premier - is the transcription based editing. It is wonderful! Thank you for asking!

      @@Contentclaire_ity Thanks for the tip...CapCut looks like it has some great features and the price is attractive. I've been using Final Cut but always open to trying new things.

    How much watch time have you got on this video so far?

    • @Contentclaire_ity
      @Contentclaire_ity  2 місяці тому

      I have a total of 6.1 watch hours so far! Not too bad for a two week old video, but I'm excited to create even better retaining videos in the next few months! What content would help you?

    That was the best I've seen of your videos so far. I don't feel like it is getting any easier for me after making 373 videos. I'm a certified professional photographer. But, filming is a totally new game. Ten months in and only 698 subs. The hard part is that there are only 579 public watch hours. This seems very overwhelming. With photography I can use my light meter but, with film I still look to my histogram. And, like you said outdoors the light changes as the shade changes.

      I feel you!! I’m a photographer as well, and crossing into filming has honestly been a bigger jump than I was expecting!

    • @Contentclaire_ity

      Thank you, that means so much! I did some extra planning and I was excited about how it came out. Making videos has so many aspects. Filming and photography are so different, I find photography difficult coming from video. A histogram is a great tool for film. The outdoors can be unforgiving at times.

    My favorite part so far is the editing. I sense that that's where I'll be able to be more creative. I want to infuse creativity in planning out shots and transitions, but that will take a lot more time to learn and practice. I'm so glad I found your channel!

    • @Contentclaire_ity

    I think my favorite part of the process is the finished product 😂 I like editing but I am always afraid to try new things when editing so it ends up being very simple edits. Like I say every time I need to plan more and script/outline. Definitely looking forward to those blogs and the video.

    • @Contentclaire_ity
      @Contentclaire_ity  3 місяці тому +1

      The finished project is so satisfying! Editing is my least favorite, partially because I can't help but wildly over complicate it 😅 but I'm working on reeling that in. Is there any specific part or thing with planning and scripting that struggle with? That's my favorite part! I will link them shortly! I thought I could but I realized I've now decided to adjust a few things! Thank you for the patience!

    • @MindofSmoothie

      @@Contentclaire_ity I think my biggest struggle with the planning and scripting is honestly actually just doing it. I have so many different videos ideas and I do a podcast too it is a lot to juggle. I guess it is more about the prioritizing of things.That often leads to just overthinking everything and then putting it off. I recognize that if I want this badly enough I'll have to discipline myself.

    • @Contentclaire_ity
      @Contentclaire_ity  2 місяці тому

      Did you read my mind?! We are in very similar places! I think one of the biggest things I struggle with is wanting to share everything at once but that would be a very scatter brained video 😅 Sometimes when I sit down to work I get extremely overwhelmed by everything. I actually just had a little 'meeting' with myself to re-prioritize because I was feeling a bit overwhelmed.
