So much respect for this band and what they are doing. They are amazing live, and I cannot wait to see them with Moose Blood. John, we need more Little Brother stuff!!
I'm so fucking proud of this band. Chemical Miracle is such an amazing album, I never get tired of hearing it. Without a doubt one of my all time favorites.
Without a doubt, AOTY. Been following these dudes since Everything Goes Away, always knew they had amazing potential and they without a doubt showed that in this album. Really hope this album blows these guys up, these guys deserve it.
10:51-11:45 I RELATE TO THIS SO MUCH ACTUALLY. definitely one of the best records of 2016/one of the best ones I heard in a while. I am Chemical Miracle.
I have a lot of respect for these guys and John especially. Working a 9-5 every day while trying to write a record would be mentally draining. Amazing album, amazing people and l also love when Aussie bands make it in the US. Keep doin what you're doing lads.
I've said it before but I couldn't mean it more this album is life changing I honestly never got into you guys before but from the first 20 seconds into chlorine the day it came out I was fuckin hooked I couldn't get it out of my head a part of me was like this has got to be a fluke there's no way the rest of the album with go in this direction and be this good (based on the last album)(not saying it was bad just completely different) but goddamn it was I wrong! I pre-ordered as soon as breathe you in was released (mind you this was only the 2nd album I've ever pre-ordered and it was the 1st that I pre-ordered when I didn't even really love the band's previous work) I could just feel the difference in the words in the vocals in the music I could feel the honesty and passion I haven't taken it out of my car sense! I can't wait to see you live this album means the world to me anyone else in the same boat?
I respect these dudes so much now, I didn't realize how hard life in bands was because you never really see the dark sides of touring etc. Takes a lot of courage. I'm so proud to see the success this album has brought them and i can only hope they get bigger so they can make a living out of it.
10:51 fish comes out from behind that rock like ''i'll be yur frien Jereme' tubular to see how much you boys have grown, i remember when Trophy Eyes had 3 songs and they were all on dreambound slam a cow in 2017!
I travelled trough australia in 2016 and i had the best time ever. not only because the country itself but of all the fucking great bands around! i saw hellions, dream on dreamer, trophy eyes and so on. i was so impressed and never wanna go again. Thank u for the music.
I am honestly so proud of how hard these guys work. I appreciate every single one of them and each piece they have contributed to their album and EPs. They don’t get paid as much as they deserve to be for creating such amazing music. Everything they speak on is relatable in its on way to every single fan and I couldn’t be more thankful. I saw them live at Warped Tour 2017 and I hope to see them again. There’s nothing more filling to my heart than a band enjoying their craft and their fans. Trophy Eyes wraps that all together. I am very excited for American Dream to come out and see how versatile it is from their previous work. It’s always something new with these guys, but also contains their signature style as a base. Super duper excited and proud 💛 I love you guys.
Thomas Murray I wouldn't call hopeless small, they have Avenged sevenfold, all time low, neck deep, Emarosa and sum 41 on their label plus loads more. They're a pretty decent sized label with a really good turnover I'd imagine.
Thomas Simcox I think you took what I said wrong. Yeah they're big. Bigger then other independent labels like Pure Noise, No Sleep, Revelation, Reaper, Run For Cover Etc. But they're nothing like the labels that use to sign these types of bands 10-15 years ago like Geffen and Universal you know? They don't make nearly as much money as them.
the label pays them for the albums that people buy. Problem with that is its 2017 and nobody pays for music anymore. Labels are essentially useless. The only thing theyre good for is tour support. Thats the only way bands make any money these days. Unless your FOB or Nickleback or Foo Fighters and people buy your records. It sucks for young bands that make alternative music but thats how it is.
Yeah. Labels are completely useless! I think that helping a band by paying their tour support, marketing, instrument replacement (maybe), recording costs and easier to tour with bigger name bands are easier to do independent. It's not like this was the issue years ago and before that even with big bands like Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars.
There are plenty of young people without a life savings, and that is just the story of it these days. It is hard to save money with the cost of living constantly going up and wages staying stagnant. It's hard out here for young people, and we are the ones that understand it. I really hope that Warped Tour does loads for these guys and people being able to discover their band because Chemical Miracle was an amazing album.
Yo, guys, FUCKING right on! Even through all you've been, and the things you've had to pause... for all those things, you guys unpaused thousands of lives! As everyone has said, Album of the year! Inspiring, I appreciate this documentary!
Really good stuff, definitely a fan now. I've watched this and the Warped Tour documentary. Both are great, especially Warped Tour, but a lot of the b-roll / extra shots to match w/ the commentary just weren't all that compelling or made sense with this piece honestly. Good interviews and script, the story was there for sure though. I like the producer, but those are just my thoughts.
Well then keep listening to this version lol. Suicide and Sunshine is insanely good and they deserve the artistic freedom to evolve and mature in their art instead of doing more of the same for those stuck in the past.
Kyle Templin yea man sure. well. he has really strong vocal chords. So when he's shouting he can jump around and force it all out. But when he does cleans he needs to focus his vocal chords to come out clean and I guess switching into the stand up mic helps him focus
he uses two mics live because the mic he screams into is lower in the mix and the mic that he sings into is higher in the mix. if he sung soft and screamed into the same mic you wouldn't be able to catch everything he is singing especially when reaching lower/less audible notes
just wanna add, in an interview recently he said he hasn't been doing vocals for very long either. So it comes down to experience, and him not using as much strength in his voice when he does cleans. I think he can eventually get down to one mic with time and putting more power behind the sung lines.
Without a doubt, one of the best albums I've heard in a long time.
kami moramo da ih slusamo uzivo i da skacemo

7 years later and chemical miracle is still one of my favorite albums and seeing trophy eyes for the first time ever in 15 days.

Hopeless need to start paying their artists more if these mofos still gotta work 9-5's loool
Thomas Simcox good luck with that. I doubt they make that much money, they're a small independent label.
Thomas Murray I wouldn't call hopeless small, they have Avenged sevenfold, all time low, neck deep, Emarosa and sum 41 on their label plus loads more. They're a pretty decent sized label with a really good turnover I'd imagine.

Miss this version of Trophy Eyes
couldn't agree more
Well then keep listening to this version lol. Suicide and Sunshine is insanely good and they deserve the artistic freedom to evolve and mature in their art instead of doing more of the same for those stuck in the past.
why does he use two stage mics...?
Ethan Dossett it helps him sing Cause hes usually a rough screamer. so. we switches to get use to singing
Andre Mojica i'm curious as well can you elaborate on that?
Kyle Templin yea man sure. well. he has really strong vocal chords. So when he's shouting he can jump around and force it all out. But when he does cleans he needs to focus his vocal chords to come out clean and I guess switching into the stand up mic helps him focus
he uses two mics live because the mic he screams into is lower in the mix and the mic that he sings into is higher in the mix. if he sung soft and screamed into the same mic you wouldn't be able to catch everything he is singing especially when reaching lower/less audible notes
