This was made for the Olympics a few yrs ago. Every few yrs they put one out. 💕 Also, there's something going on with the video audio for her. Lol. It does sound off.
I performed Luda’s part onstage with Carrie in 2019 during her Cry Pretty 360 Tour. She had a different person in each city. I have my performance on my channel.
A bit more detail on the history of the song: It was not a single off an album, as many have suggested, nor was it ever released to radio. Sunday Night Football executive producer, Fred Gaudelli, who previously worked with Carrie, approached her about writing a song for the upcoming 2018 Super Bowl. The song was later used as one of the theme songs for the Winter Olympics. I can understand where Staci is coming from per her vocals as there's clearly some compression effects on them. I happen to love it now, but it took a few listens to get used to. Carrie can absolutely blow and is one of the best singers in music but it was certainly a departure from her usual country style. I think the idea was that the song had a more universal pop beat/sound as it was supposed to appeal to a very broad sports-centric audience. As a hype song, I think it's really fantastic. The diverse video imagery is also really moving, showing so many different kinds of champions. Even though it's a few years old now it's still one of my favorite songs to work out to. It makes me run faster. LOL
They were told to make a song for the Sunday night football! Lol 😂 She talked about that during her “cry pretty” 360 tour! It was supposed to be an inspirational or motivational song
This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone say, “I don’t like Carrie’s voice in this one.” NOBODY SINGS LIKE CARRIE. Check out “How great thou art” live from the Country music awards with Vince Gill. Name anyone who could do what she did on that stage. I’ll wait.
theme song? this song should be the theme song for everyone who wants to make that move, be that star, reach that dream im sitting here thinking those Olympics aint that far away... Luda Drops Lines Too! dont sleep on what he brought to this collaboration. the snapshots and short clips of the video really bring it home for me though, each time i watch this the count of "oh yeah i remember that one too" grows.
I am the champion wasn’t for high school athletes it was all champions in everything I really love ❤️ this song I have listened to it for hours on end I really love the message and motivation it brings to everyone 🥰
IMHO Carrie is one of the greatest well rounded artist of our time. She IS Country but she has also done Christian ( How Great Thou Art and many more) and even Rock (Paradise City). She has nailed them all. Look them up and react if you like....I think you will be pleasantly surprised.😀👍👏
Carrie and 2 other country artist wrote this for the super bowl a couple years ago and wrote Ludacris part for herself but later invited Ludacris to collaborate with her on it!
This song/video is EPIC and a classic...I luuuuuv the grit in her voice. I actually saw a video of them just in the studio part...with out the video story of the worlds pure champions. Her voice is coming from deep down...props to Luda...I like his simple but true to the song lyrics...as to his messing up other songs...I've heard so much worse...Another song to check out, even though Christmas has passed is "Hallelujah" with John Legend. It's an original NOT the Pentatonix cover of a song with the same name.....their vocals are stellar!!!
I'm not sure who the artist of this song is but I think it's a better song to represent 2020 it's called Overcomer I believe there was a movie made by the same name but the song came first not that there's anything wrong with this song it's a great song made me want to get off to the gym with this song and eye of the tiger on my playlist to listen to LOL

It was for 2016 Super Bowl and Olympics.
@@row759 video says 2018
I think her husband being in the video in the hockey champ scenes makes the song much more personal. They are both into sports and fitness.
She and son.
It was made for the Super Bowl when the Eagles were the under dogs and then people started to like this song

This song sends a positive message! I love Carrie how versatile she is with her song's and music . She can sing more than country, i love it!

Listen to her singing How Great Thou Art live! Amazing
I suggested the same thing. They’ll never be the same after that performance. It has to be live with Vince Gill at the CMA’s.

NFL used it
She did change her style a bit vocally on this track, she barely sounded like herself on the verses.
I love the song and video… but every time I watch it, I get a little mad for the poor catcher in the opening scene… that guy sliding was out, lol
You make a nice couple
Mann fucc what they talked abkout shkit carrie Underwood did hker shkit on thkis song

Stop hatin on Luda! LOL Nah, this was good for sure!

My advice to you is. Know the history of the song before you react to it. It makes a lot easier on yourself.
It's nit all high school sports it was made for the Superbowl
You would enjoy it more if you back it up a bit, when you stop it each time. You miss the beauty of the flow.
Superbowl dummies!!
Luda ruined songs before? I have never heard a bad Luda verse, he murders any beat hes on. Definitely top 10 ever for me.Im sorry!
