Love this cup!! Love ALL of your tutorials! I've watched them since day 1 & you've taught me so much & have inspired me greatly! I appreciate all the time and effort you put into these tutorials!
I tried to join your Facebook group... having troubles figuring out how to do so🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I almost didn’t start doing tumblers for that reason, I’m already overtaken by art supplies and now where am I going to put all this glitter? I love it though and I know my daughters and granddaughters will appreciate it.
It took courage to not mess up that “c” at the end, I was a little nervous but you pulled it off. I just got my Cricut Maker and I haven’t done a cup with it yet, I’m still learning but I love it. Your videos are helping a lot, thanks for sharing.
thank you!!
Do a clear waterslide. Print it out with bleeding off and mirror on. Spray seal it 2x then if you want to plastidip 1x then 1x sealer spray. Cut the waterslide out. Spray paint the picture side white. Let it dry and then voila you can’t see anything through it
Are these instructions for those who don't have a cricut or cameo silhouette?
Yayy for a new vid!! Also you look caaahhuuteee! 😍
Thank you so much 🥰
This is tooo much trouble!!!! Lol. It’s beautiful!
Glad you are back and hope you are in better spirits.
Your cup is Beautiful!
You use the culture quick coat can I use Polycrylic?
Thank you 😊 and yes you can use Polycrylic
This cup is stunning! I keep wondering what's the total start to finished cup time and total number layers of epoxy. Such a labor of love for each cup. Great work everytime!
Definitely a labor of love! Thank you.
😍😍😍😍
I made a cup like this recently
Just need some of these colors to restock for the glitters! I mean I could do it with some of the other 100 glitters I have but...
“My name is Artistic Bear and I’m a glitter addict.” We need a 12 step group for this right? 😂
You could print your decal on sticker (print then cut) and back it with white vinyl :-) Still two layers of material though.
Can you use polyurethane instead of quick coat? Does poly take longer to dry?
Awesome Tutorial. Question you said you used Quick coat to help your stripes from getting bubbles. I don’t have quick coat would I use polycrylic?
Yes you can! Polycrylic would work the same way.
Jessica, as always beautiful! Where is the vinyl from?
It’s just Cricut gold foil adhesive vinyl
Love this tutorial. Which vinyl did you use for the gold lines?
This was just Cricut gold foil adhesive vinyl
What is the easiest way to fix a cup when you epoxy and the ends of you vinyl stripes lifted?😩 I should have let it sit over night before applying the epoxy.
I love this, the colors are beautiful and go together really well. that gold vinyl is beautiful as well, may i ask where you find it? i've been looking for a gold and silver like that but haven't had any luck
its cricut brand adhesive gold foil vinyl
I love the colors of glitter on this cup. I was trying to find them on the website you shared. However, I cannot find the boudoir or Frannie. What would you recommend that would come close to those two as replacements.
They’re palette colors so they haven’t hit the site yet I’m sorry 😢 when I filmed this I thought they would come out sooner. Figgy and Gold Member are great substitutes ❤️
These colors are gorgeous, is frannie and saltwater oldies or new colors!!! Thank you for giving the stripe measurements, I've been asking everyone I know that makes cups 😂
Thank you 😊 these are all new colors!
Did you do printable vinyl for the marble? If so, which image do you like the best? Thanks
I used patterned vinyl from Https://www.thevinylcottageshop.com
flynnsisters10 gets you 10% off your order!!
I use Alumilite also but yours always looks thicker, how long do you let it sit after mixing?
Nice cup today!
About 5-10 mins
I’m new here and love your creations! I’m not sure I missed it but do you have a shop to buy finished products?
Thank you 😊 we don’t, but I do have a fb page where I sometimes sell the stuff we make in videos.
Hi!!! I love watching your videos!! When I apply my first layer of epoxy it pulls in small spots leaving divots, what am I doing wrong?
There's a lot that could be happening there. What brand of epoxy? is it only happening on the first layer over glitter? Whats your process for applying the glitter?
I love your tutorials! I couldn't find Frannie, Saltwater and Boudoir on the site, do you have an suggestions for alternative colors?
They haven’t been released yet or they’re sold out. Subs would be Ravenclaw or Dressblues for Saltwater, Matze for Frannie (i think) and Figgy for boudoir
Flynn Sisters Boutique thank you so much!!
I love how you made this easy enough for me to do, I cant wait to try this but I cant afford those paints right now so can I use other paints?
You could use any brand acrylic paint.
Thank you 😊 yes absolutely
If you’re using all metallics, you honestly don’t even need a base. The base won’t alter the color of the glitter at all. Some ppl do it so that you don’t have to put a second coat of glitter. I personally like doing two coats of glitter bc I don’t like see the cup at all. Even when I sprayed it a similar color. Even tho the customer might not even notice lol but that’s just me
Awesome tutorial! Going to try this today. Is there anything you can use as an alternative to the Legos?
Anything you can stack I suppose or just measure and mark your lines in sections and use tape
how important do you think it is to do the paint colors before glitter? I am going to do one like this with all POG metallic colors so I'm wondering if it makes a big difference if I just kept it a white base
Every time I didn’t I regretted it but that’s just my experience. I know a lot of people don’t base coat metallic glitter
Never tried this, but maybe double your vinyl on your mat and adjust your settings.
That’s a good idea! Never thought about that! Thank you 😊
Hey what don’t did you use?
Can you use anything else to seal the vinyl (like 2x clear coat) other than what ever it was that you used?
yes you could
I first want to tell you that I LOVE watching your channel!!! Secondly, I have a question about sealing the metallic vinyl. I used Polyurethane matte sealant and it seems to have raised some of the vinyl in areas. Did I do something wrong?
Thank you 😊 I’m not sure about a matte poly sealer as I’ve never used it before. I’m sorry
@@FlynnSistersBoutique I'm confused on exactly what you are using to keep your metallic vinyl from bubbling/pulling up. Is it a spray or a liquid sealer? EVERY TIME I use the metallic vinyl it pulls up in places. I don't know what I am doing wrong. 🤦🏻♀️
Can u use the white sublimation skinny tumblers also for the epoxy glitter method? I live in the Netherlands and its hard to get the skinny tumblers here the already white ones are a little bit easier to get here but i cant find if there is any difference between them🤔Please can anyone help me with this?
I think we talked on Instagram! I don’t see why not
How do you get the white spray paint smooth ?! Mine always has small bumps . So frustrating
your paint nozzle might be dirty or clogged or you might not be shaking it well enough.
how do you avoid the sealer getting on the painted sections prior to getting them glittered? Or does it matter?
It doesn't matter.
Do you ever have issues with the painters tape or transfer paper leaving adhesive residue
no i don't but some vinyl has done that to me and i just use rubbing alcohol to fix it
Pretty tumbler! Can u do an geometric line skinny tumbler?
Yeah we can try that in the future
@@FlynnSistersBoutique okay thanks
This is beautiful, Jessica! Regarding the vinyl lines, I don’t have a circut but I’ve seen online vinyl lines for purchase. Would they serve the same purpose? Do you know of a particular vendor who sells them? What width are these that you using on this tumbler?
I’m not sure about the vinyl lines for purchase, I’d have to see the listing but I cut these at 11.5”x.20”
@@FlynnSistersBoutique Thank you!
Which paint bundle do you suggest and to get those colors?TIA
I'm not sure what bundles are available that have these colors. I have the 60 count paint bundle.
How are you getting the strips of vinyl? I know in design space but I haven’t been able to add rectangles
on the left side of your screen there is a button called "shapes", click on that then click the "square" then click the little lock on the corner of the square to unlock the proportions and then resize it to 11.5" x .15" or however thick/thin you want them
Would mod podge work to put on the different layers?
yes definitely
Where can we find that decal? The framing part that is.
I think I found it in cricut DS - search “bracket”
Working in your garage how do you prevent fuzzies and dust? That is my biggest problem on my last coat of epoxy.....
I epoxy in a closet towards the back end of my house - i don't epoxy in my garage
@@FlynnSistersBoutique ahhh okay! That's makes sense now! Thank you!
What type or what vinyl is the one use for the gold lines?
cricut gold foil adhesive vinyl amzn.to/3lkdnej
Which vinyl did you order for the gold stripe?
Cricut gold foil adhesive vinyl
Can you tell me what kind of vinyl you use for the stripes?
for this i used cricut metalic gold foil adhesive vinyl
What shakers do you have/prefer?
amzn.to/2Dc3i0K
Do you use the Alulilte quick cast or clear coat cast?
Clear cast for this. When I filmed this video, the quick cast hadn’t been released yet
@@FlynnSistersBoutique Ok thanks. Any problem with it yellowing?
