I use exactly the same rigging, but I add a rubber bobber stop between the clacker bead and knot. I have the same rig tied on that I have used all summer!! I’ve only had to retie twice. On another setup, I use the same except I have 30lb braid on it. I use it around grass.
You mentioned that you rig things slightly differently when fishing up North for smallies...? I am a Midwesterner who primarily targets smallies in rivers and creeks. What modifications or adjustments would you recommend? Thanks!
How can you tie a polimer knot on bottom of swivel when its connected ?? I tie the swivel to hook knot first then im able to polimar knot to reel line.
Christian another great video. I would like to see videos on crankbaits, punching and frogging. What size of hook do you use on your CC rig? Thank you.
Very interesting, thanks. I’ve been fishing this rig for my entire fishing life (73 years old)in my home country of the Uk and never knew it was called The Carolina Rig!Now here living in Oz I’ve continued to use the same rig. I have never used a bead for this set up. Metal beads in something I have not tried. Why use this over plastic beads please.
Thank you for your time in answering. I haven’t seen tungsten weight ' I’m still using lead. That’s why I have never broken a plastic bead on my float set up. Much more environmentally friendly.
I see you used fluorocarbon as a leader line, does it make a difference if I’m using monofilament, I will be using the Carolina rig at Westpoint during the first week in March
I use mainly a egg shape weight on my rig. Do you ever turn your tungsten weight backwards when fishing shell bars? I will rig it this way if I don't have a egg weight with me. I do this because it kicks up the bottom more and helps me get a reaction strike.
Hello Sir, thank you for your videos. I discovered your channel. I am a beginner and I would like to catch fish fairly quickly because I fish with my family at the seaside or otherwise in a freshwater lake. Do you recommend the carolina rig, knocker rig or dropper loop? Thanks🙋♂️👍
I have nothing against technology or not but did you use ffs on the win, that’s a big deal because 10 out of 10 of us would be throwing at random, good for you to win I,m sure you needed a grub steak to pay for the great expense.
I feel like when people make these claims ($100K won on just Carolina rig)- we should see pay stubs. It's not that we don't believe it. Its you opened with that title, now its a matter of clarification...

He's holding a giant check with $100,000 on it, tournament results are all over the internet (including winnings), and even had a cameraman in the boat so it's all recorded. What do you need clarification on?
@@Cshoda321 I don’t think it’s a 5 day, I’m saying it ain’t no c-rig in practice til the win. Have you even MLF event. You know it’s five days of event. 😪
Let’s talk about fish handling. Don’t be lazy and sling a fish into your boat like you’re some neanderthal and allow them to flop around the floor and gear bump board etc.
I'd love to see an on the water demonstration of using your graphs to identify bottom composition and structure such as brush piles or shells bars.
I would like to see this too!
Same it would be really helpful

Good job brother. Keep grinding. You've got this👍
I won a state championship as a co on onieda throwing a c=rig this year! Great rig!!
Hey man awesome video !! Can you come out with a graph video to identify bottom type. In particular a quick lesson on finding hard bottom.
This is really a great channel ! Keep up the good work sir .
I think a great video would be a explanation of what you are looking for when you're flipping. Are there certain types of cover or just weed lines?

You should make a video going over your favorite tournament lures/rigs and how/when to use them
What is the best way to find Shell bars in Florida? How do you go about finding them on your graphs?
Seen that brass clacker bust a few knots on a hard cast
I haven’t had any issues
How can you tie a polimer knot on bottom of swivel when its connected ?? I tie the swivel to hook knot first then im able to polimar knot to reel line.
Cut the leader line to length first
Christian another great video. I would like to see videos on crankbaits, punching and frogging. What size of hook do you use on your CC rig? Thank you.
Really just depends on the bait but typically a 4/0
@@ChristianGreico Thank You Christian.

The plastic doesn’t make as much sound and if you’re using a tungsten weight, the weight will break the plastic
Thank you for your time in answering. I haven’t seen tungsten weight ' I’m still using lead. That’s why I have never broken a plastic bead on my float set up. Much more environmentally friendly.
I’ve never fished the Carolina rig. My main lane I fish is a heavy grass lake. Your thoughts on that?
Carolina rig isn’t the best for heavy grass. A Texas rig would be better
It’s definitely making a popular comeback or people are talking about it more and have been using it.
How do you decide to fish shell bars vs flip pads in FL? When would you use a jig vs c rig?

I use the tungsten because I can feel the bottom better. And no, I never use the weight turned around.

Nice video. What color do you find most effective on shell bars? I’m in central Florida too. Mainly St. John’s river. Thanks
Junebug or black/blue
I’m just curious of what action that rod is. Fast ?
Yes
How did you tie the 2nd Palomar knot when you can’t pass the swivel through the loop since it’s already tied to your main line?
Cut the leader to length and then you’re just passing the loop through the leader line
I saw that too and was like wtfff lol
still don't see how you tie a palomar on the hook. you would have to pass the whole rod & line thru the loop.
Why are you not using the omen rods and sponsor
The 7’6 Mh Omen is a good choice. This is also a 13 Fishing rod in the video.
Good video 😊
Are there certain times of year the Carolina rig works better? Water temp?
All year really
Why not braided line on the real much more sensitive
Braid doesn’t do well around hard cover
What is a shell bar exactly?
Muscles/clams on the bottom of the lake
What size swivel do you use?
Honestly couldn’t tell you. It doesn’t really matter
