A theory that I've heard that the reason that Tanjiro keeps breaking his swords is that none of the swordsmiths currently living know how to forge a sword for someone that uses the "Sun Breathing Technique" because no one knows it (aside from Tanjiro) It's knowledge that's been lost (Thus why Muchiro's crow gets pissed at him for saying that) and that it's such a powerful technique that "normally forged" blades can't handle it, therefore we have this sword!
I think its a combination of that and the fact that Tanjiro has been a Sun Breather using Water Breathing techniques. He subconsciously uses more attack power than the techniques were designed for.

tanjiro was able to defeat the doll because it was already weak after all those battles, and it had only 5 arms. muichuro also broke its' armour

Just to clear our some stuff,
1.Yoirichi type zero has 6 hands because to match the movements of yoirichi's(the original Sun breathing wielder) hands.
2.Muichiro is descendent of the original Sun breathing wielder which from this episode can be assumed is Yoirichi
3. In the first Ep in the dream the name of Tanjiro's ancestor was Sumiyoshi and the person he was talking to was Yoirichi as we know,he was mentioned to be Sumiyoshi's Guest,so we already know that yoirichi isn't blood relative of Tanjiro

The upper moon 1 demon is tanjiros ancestor aswell because he’s the brother of the swordsman with the earrings that you see in the flashbacks there brothers but only 1 of them could use sun breathing the other brother which is the demon can’t use sun breathing there both ancestors to Tanjiro

And another topic where you can see in this episode where kotetsu said Maybe the dream where tanjiro dream about is from tanjiro ancestor.. Yes it is true Sumiyoshi is Tanjiro ancestor and Yorichi is the friend of sumiyoshi

14:58 tanjiro is constantly using sun breathing its just not visually there because the author of demon slayer said the effects are only there to visualize the form
There are very huge fans of this anime unlike the DC or Disney or even Marvel animation is completely different ideas and thoughts don't you think so folks
The sword is just a plot armer (one of many) by the author of the manga because Tanjiro cannot compete with the hashiras strength.

I feel there's a link between the upper one demon having 6 eyes and mechanical doll having 6 arms and almost same hair as that sun guy, plus if you watched the first episode and tanjiro's dream, the sword the sun guy tucks into his belt as he walks away looks like the hidden sword in the mechanical doll. Not looking for spoilers, just wanted to state what I was thinking :)
