I was a young paratrooper in the 82nd 45 years ago. I'm old and worn out now. What a fitting song. The brotherhood is strong. The bond remains for life. This will always be MY unit and these are MY people. Am proud of the 82nd Chorus. You've brought a tear to the eyes of an old paratrooper. All the Way! Airborne!

Good for you! A capella singing is difficult and this group does it well. To my ear, there seem to be a lot of division of parts in the SATB arrangement.

my dad was 82nd and deployed with them to iraq… ive got nothing but respect for all of them and all branches have a brotherhood that’s inspiring

Yes, she missed the high note but I still love them. This is a great achievement for them. I salute anyone who choses to defend this country. I hope they get more opportunities to showcase their beautiful voices.

This group not only represents themselves but they represents all the women and men who give their all life for us to have our freedom in 2006 I lost my older son of heart failure and my only daughter in 2021 my youngest join the army in 2015 am very proud of him he have 2 boys and he being deployed 4 times this soldier miss a lot of their family time some never came back home but they make the promise to defend this country and believe me they're doing a he'll of job. My son is airborne too he is my pride and joy.
We need to hear the 82nd Airborne choir at this time. Our country should be proud that we have them in the military protecting all of us. I was very proud of their performance because they sang from their hearts. ❤
it's a talent show, we're there to be entertained, song choice is questionable, voices are shaky (when the woman tried to hit a big note, her voice broke like crazy), nothing special here.

@@andrewrodriguez4730 Not all of them deployed but there are a few individuals with overseas bars. The patch on their right arm also indicates what unit they deployed with.

My dad was a hello scout pilot in Vietnam with the army’s airborne division and served more than 20 years. It was his greatest pride and achievement. I lost him unexpectedly last October and the performance brought me to tears and I realized a pain and loss I’ve held onto for a year.

Sorry for your loss. And I like to send my thanks to you for your father's dedication , sacrifice and service . Your father's job wasn't an easy one . As along as these men and women are around. A part of your father will be too , right along side the memory of all his brothers and sisters . Their all hero's. All of these soldiers are on active jump status, which means they continue to conduct parachute jumps to maintain their required proficiency. In addition, many of them have seen combat overseas. I see combat infantry badges, as well. All American. All the way!

@@patpat586 I agree...this is no longer the Chorus...it is a band performance and no longer a special group meant as a recruiting tool filled with ACTUAL airborne troops with the ability to sing. The chorus is meant to be a barbershop setup to provide entertainment and moral boosting to the actual airborne troops made of actual airborne troops...not pretend band members.

My great grandfather served in WW2 for the US Army, Grandfather was Navy around Vietnam, Mother was Coastie and Army National Guard, i want more than anything to get into 82A or 101st Airborne. It would make me so happy to achieve that and keep the legacy of our military heritage and government work

I understand and appreciate that these members all have regular jobs throughout the entire 82nd Airborne division. They are all people who are a part of the army that serves and protects the US. That being said, this performance was really rough to me. 1:44 in particular. Maybe it was the mixing, but it wasn't great. If you remove all the patriotism and US army advertising and just listen they imho just aren't on the level of talent compared to many of the other acts in the Finals.
