I heard about FCUM some years ago and the motives that led to the creation of the new club of Manchester. The cause is honorable in this days that our beloved sport (Football) is managed as a mere enterprise as so many other aspects of our life. Football is for the people! As somebody wrote below, Benfica was born on similar spirit that led you to raise FCUM. Limited resources but infinite desire; built by labour class people early in the 20th Century.
As Benfica fan it is an honor to be part of your history on the inaugural game in your new stadium and I do believe Benfica is somehow fondly remembered in Manchester, although for us... we have lost 4-1 after ET at Wembley back in 68, but we have turned our back to European finals wins since 62. :-/
Anyway, I already become a fan for FCUM. Thank you for the reception.

Adapt - Home of the best gaming content! We'll go as far as the rules of the leagues we play in don't compromise our principles. We hope that eventually rules (financing, TV, all-seaters etc) will change. If not we'll stay where we are and enjoy competing where we can.

I've been a City fan for 36 years and I'm an Exile Mancunian what lives in Scarborough. Now don't get me wrong I have enjoyed the success and the players on show we've had over the last ten years but I just don't enjoy the match going experience like I did growing up in the 80s and 90s at Maine Road the lost of Terracing and the pricing out of the hardcore working class support has put pay to the true tribal Racouse Atmosphere of football, I went with a York fan to Bootham Crescent York City v Chester stood up in the terrace all young lads full of it singing being passionate really reminded me of the English top flight of yesteryear and myself on the Kippax Street. I know many traditional working class Supporter's who support Premier league clubs are now watching lower league and none league clubs. MCFC

How did your game vs FCSP go after we softened them up for you in their 100 years birthday game 3-3?
Football fans copy songs from each other, they aren't exactly the biggest brained specimens. Pretty much all football clubs have a version of "when the saints go marching in" which should be sang by SOUTHAMPTON. FCUM will become no different than any other club once they make horrible rehashed versions of other clubs chants. They can make a club, but they don't write original chants, dumb move.
Just how i Remember football used to be before the greedy corporations got there hands on our Game, Great vocal support, Good Luck FCUM, Walsall F.C

Great, Great. I am fucked up here with AJAX AMSTERDAM but we have not been able to create a second professional club. The system overhere is very closed. Long ago AFC DWS was the biggest club in Amsterdam but Ajax took all the glory.
