I think it was on June 17th, it was raining a little bit so not many people came. It was a little wet, but It wasn't cold. I showed up at noon, fished for 3.5 hrs. Spent 1 hr 15 mins cleaning the fish. Took 20 minutes to haul the fish up as I was a bit late, and the Ranger was waiting.🤪
@NierNierPasture While the fish is still fresh, you can fillet and carefully inspect the meat, look for red spots, and see it wingles. Or leave it at room temperature. it usually comes out. It should be safe to eat if cooked. BTW, in general, fish carries parasites, including salmon.
Thank you!🙂

Nice action! When was this? Looks cold. Early June? How long did it take you to catch that 33 fish?

every shad I catch had parasites inside. Fished this week
That's scary. I normally don't inspect them that close. Feed the crabs.
@viktors4577 more info on the parasites? What kind? How did you find out? Are the fish still safe to consume if cooked?

Can those fish be caught all year round or is it just one season, will they bite in September?
You have about one good month to catch them. Middle of May to end of June.
