    Great video, very informative, I went with the exeo unit too.
    Just for others who are doing the upgrade, I didn't need to move the kline wire to code it. My launch unit wouldn't code it, but the snap on machine did, so might be an easier option for someone

    Hi Jon, just wanted to thank you for the video. I bought the same head unit as yours, and fitted it today. works a charm. One thing i need to do is move the k-line pin from one connector into a different one, then i can code the head unit correctly.
    ( Audi A4 B7 3.0 tdi Quattro ) , Regards, Richard.

      Great job. Really pleased for you. The pin swaps easy so nothing to worry about there. You’ve done the hard bit. Pleased it helped

      @@jonjesney Jon, if you don't mind me asking, what are my options for ami or Bluetooth connections ? I see you can connect a hard drive to an ami module. Thanks in advance, Richard.

      Hi mate nice video
      Quick question I have the same Bluetooth kit in my A3 on a RNS-E
      Mine keeps disconnecting then connecting & most of the times it doesn’t even connect to Bluetooth iv checked the wiring it seem ok.
      Any idea what could be the problem?

    Really hard to find an Exeo RNS-E 2. Nothing available right now. Don't really want to settle for the RNS-E 1. Nice video BTW.

    Hi, I am doing this in my b7 rs4, what reverse camera are you running? I installed one that worked with a kenwood carplay unit but I’d like to get the camera to work with the seat rnse I am installing

    Hi, trying to do this exact thing now in my 2011 R8, I have the Kufatech cable too. My cable doesn't have the additional longer plug though. I've coded it but it doesn't see the AMI in the menu just the aux still. Did you have to remove your aux connection?

    I Jon, thanks for the video it helped for the installation.
    I have one question, I’ve done exactly the same in my Audi with and RNS-E 193B with the kufatec harness and after coding it, the AMI menu doesn’t show on, do I need to change the wires ? Thanks a lot.

    Hi Jon,
    Do you know any AMI cable that has both USB and AUX sources (so you can select them from RNS-E instead of changing cables) ?
    Thank you

    Jon, sorry for another question. I have the Exeo RNS-E and the same AMI as in your video. The WMA3000a I’ve seen says it’s not compatible with 2G systems though.

      @jonjesney  3 роки тому +1

      Not sure then. I have the WMA3000 in my car with the exeo headset.

    Hi, i have an audi A4 B7 2.0 TDI 170hp and i have the original Audi Navigation Plus and i want to know if there's a possibility to connect my phone from bluetooth, because i don't know if it have the BT inteface. Could you help me?

    • @jonjesney
      @jonjesney  3 роки тому

      Yes you can. Either go down the OEM route and fit the Bluetooth module and Microphone. This however is not linked to music, only telephone. For music you either need to go down the route I have detailed here or you can look at an aftermarket system. There are several listed for the Audi RNSE

    Thanks for the video, but that's a lot of work for connecting the AMI to the bluetooth Tune2Air. I hope my system is already set up to work with aftermarket AMI bluetooth device, otherwise, I'll have to go to my dealership or a headset guy to do the diagnostic change for me.

    • @jonjesney
      @jonjesney  8 місяців тому

      The work is connecting the AMI. The Bluetooth bit is easy. It won’t do anything like this from standard. They were not set up.
