So are you using the Katana as your audio interface or are you recording on your MacBook internal microphone? I'm trying to record my 100 MKII on my MacBook Air M2 but I'm not sure if I record a new track with GarageBand if it will use my internal MacBook Air mic or my Katana... I have a similar setup to what you have and I want to be able to hear my Katana like I normally do except also have it recording. Basically just record what I play so I can listen and mess around with the EQ and compression settings later when I have time on GarageBand and then listen to it later through my MacBook internal mic or listen through my AirPods... I'm new to GarageBand and recording so everything seems a little confusing and I just learned tone studio where I'm comfortable building tones etc. My main thing is finding the easiest way to use GarageBand and record my live band rehearsals. I'll probably just get a USC-C condenser mic to record them as I play through my Katana and have two separate tracks.... my bands drummer and bass player on the condenser mic and me playing through my Katana. This keeps gear to a minimum and allows me to understand basic audio engineering

The guitar is recorded directly int Garage Band using the KATANA as an Audio interface. You will her some ambient soudn as well, when I'm stomping the GA-FC or checking the sound. That sound is coming from a microphone.
