That was a great episode! It was a clever idea making Norman the lead, have D261 back again and seeing the engines sleep anywhere they can was grand. I give this a full 10/10!
Well said. I could ramble on about all the points you made, but you summed it up well. This series continues to be so ingenious and makes me very excited to see what comes next!
Wow, this is a great episode. U adapted Super Rescue, gave Norman a spotlight episode, made Henry sleep at Vicarstown for a reason, and brought old Bowler back. Now this is what I call a Great tracks to big adventures episode ever. Only if u were a Thomas headwriter like Andrew Brenner.
This felt like an episode straight from the Brenner era Because it has a returning character (Class 40), a classic series recreation flashback (Bowled Out), a obscure character pairing (Henry and Norman) as well as a large cast of characters in one story weather it be leading roles, minor roles or cameos (cameos especially at the end) and amazing looking visuals. If this were to be released during the Brenner era I think it might be one of the best episodes from that era.
Wow! This is awesome! Your version of Super Rescue with Norman and Class 40 included with bigger roles in Bear and D199's places, Henry's new reason to sleep at Vicarstown and the engines can now sleep wherever they can in any shed they find though two engines don't like it such as Duck and Diesel, based on their rivalry. You're a genius, my man. Can't wait to see more from you.
I really, really enjoyed this. A modern retelling of a classic story done very well. And the fact that Henry is one of the lead characters makes this episode an instant favourite. I love most of the characters from Thomas and friends but... Henry is my favourite. Seeing him on screen is always a treat for me.
Yeah, they should have thought of adapting it during Brenner or BWBA era. Sam Wilkison did say that he would like Bear to be introduced in the CGI era.
I like the callbacks in this episode and it's nice to get some character interactions the show never did. And while establishing how Henry got the idea to move sheds.
Finally! Someone acknowledges sheds as sheds and not as character status symbols! Anyway, hooray for a fresh take on Super Rescue. It's unfortunate we couldn't get a "CGI" Bear, but at least this gives some character development to Norman. Now to keep an eye out for an adaptation of "Duck & Dukes", if the season trailer was anything to go by...
11:04 Notice how this shot of Henry is an exact mimic of the one in the book, you all know the one i mean... the iconic illustration when he has that smug expression, same angle and all. Almost didn't catch that, well played man. This really was Henry's swansong. Super Rescue is just the best. 💚

Having the engines able to sleep almost anywhere is a great tool to set up episodes and character match-ups that we wouldn't see normally; I'm surprised the actual series didn't implement something like it. Such a contrast between D261 and the Sodor diesels. An early series diesel clashes very starkly with the later series diesels; it really shows how steam-diesel relations have evolved and strengthened on the island.
With every new episode I’m impressed by the quality of this series. They really feel like they could be real episodes and look almost as good as a properly animated show.
Now this is fan service done right (in my opinion). Another fantastic episode, I love the D261 model and that Norman is in an episode as well as the engines not having assigned sheds is much better that before. This is really going to be hard to choose my favorite episode so far
Never expected Logan to talk like that... o_O Other than that; you gave a nice solution to the whole moving sheds thing. It makes sense for the engines to just sleep at the nearest sheds to their last job of the day, rather than travelling all the way to their "home" sheds.
I've especially wanted to mention that I personally love how they certainly were ACTUALLY able to easily include Hiro who basically based on a D51 from railways in Japan with a Mikado wheel configuration into the episode!
Another fantastic and amazing episode. This series just gets better every time. Also the dialogue was excellent. D261 getting his comeuppance, the super rescue scene and the Sheds arrangements was terrific.
even though i wish to see CGI versions of D199 and Bear, this overall a really good cgi adaption of super rescue. And Norman finally got an episode very nice.

This is beautiful, I love this!
A very, very respectful way to move Henry out of Tidmouth sheds. Also, it is logical for engines to sleep in the nearest shed available to them after a hard day's work. If only Mattel had some brains.
That was one of the best stories I have ever seen from you. Norman and Henry getting an episode together, I was not expecting to see that old face return to Sodor. Well done on a remarkable story. Thank you for letting me voice one of the Trucks 😀.
Love the Super Rescue story alongside that amazing message about engines staying wherever they please to rest. It gives me vibes to opens up to more story ideas with other engines in different locations in the island and to establish more characters/character developments and sets. Awesome work to you and the crew, keep it up!
NORMAN??? OMG IM SO EXCITED to see my BOY get the love and attention he deserves :DDDD. *EDIT: wow, I wasn’t expecting this to be a Super Rescue adaptation, but it was a really great one nonetheless! I love the way you incorporated Norman into it to give him some much needed screen time and development, this would’ve been perfect for the TVS but I love it here nonetheless. Also great seeing Bowler in CGI too. And of course, the way you worked in Henry staying at Vicarstown was very clever and fitting as well. This was just awesome. Can’t wait for the next installment! :D
Great video. Wasn't expecting Norman and D261 to take the roles of the diesels in the Railway Series version, though. And wow, Henry actually going to Vicarstown Sheds, with the engines sleeping at whatever shed is closest to them.
I love this episode, its a very nice adaptation and not to mention the prop of class 40. The prop just feels so nitrogen with how it was done, with imperfections making it unique (like toad's model).
Feels weird for a shunter to be pulling The Limited, so I think Norman could've been given a different train. Then again, not many big diesels in the TV Series. I still appreciate the bigger role he was given.
A solid episode mate! You really made it a great surprise for all of us! And this is a brilliant CGI take on Super Rescue from the Railway Series (only with D261 and Norman in Spamcan and Bear's places). Speaking of Norman, as a character in the show, he always feels like a blank slate and kinda pointless (to which I feel that Dennis could've returned since he seemed to have more character). But as for other interpretations of him in the fan content, I really like how they expanded more with him, and you did a brilliant job giving him lack of confidence b/c of breaking down. As for D261/Bowler, I really enjoyed what you did with him as well as that CGI recreation of Bowled Out. The music is really great and Henry's CGI-styled S4 theme is a masterpiece. I did enjoy that piece of humor like when Dart can't come up with other words to say "What he (Den) mean is" and for the ending part where Henry and all the other engines are now gonna sleep at different sheds when they are closer to their work and other odd jobs, that is SO much better than what the actual show tried. I hope we get a redemption episode for Gordon this season. But I guess we'll have to wait and see. Also, I can't help but notice that my Cranky lines are omitted in this, but I'll look pass it as it is still an enterprising masterpiece!
You beautiful mad lads! You adapted Super Rescue and it was glorious!!! That moment when Henry pushed and pulled the two trains sent shivers down my spine.
Ah, just like Tug suggested in giving Henry a proper sendoff... adapting one of Henry's finest moments. And what better engine to play Spamcan than ol' D261? Bravo!
Wow! Your episode was amazing because this was like the RWS story Super Rescue when Henry pushes and pull Norman and Class 40 just like he pushes and pull Bear and D199!
Well my goodness this was amazing! I loved your adaptation of Super Rescue quite a lot! It was very clever to bring back Class 40 and having Norman as a lead role is very clever as well indeed! And not to mention the Rescue scene gave me instant goosebumps with that great Henry Theme Orchestra Splendid Job can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us!

Please keep up this brilliant work and I can’t wait for what you have in store next. This is what I am forever classing as the canon Thomas series after Season 21.
This is a great loose adaption for Super Rescue! It would have been nice if that story was adapted into the TV series. I also really love the fact that the show now has engines sleep wherever like how it was at the beginning of the TV series and makes things more realistic.
Honestly an amazing episode (SPOILER ALERT) I really enjoy the way you handled the arrangement with the sheds, it makes a lot more sense than the way BWBA did and it means that there technically isn’t a big shift in who the ‘main engines’ are since it’s not defined by one place anymore
What another brilliant episode that’s adapted off my favorite RWS story Super Rescue!! I’m so glad that Norman finally got himself a main role in this alongside Henry and the returning old face of D261!! Plus I love the love the concept idea that engines staying in other sheds closer to their work or when their tired is something Mattel could NEVER do!! XD Overall another fantastic episode!! And I give it a 10/10!! 😃😃😃😃
Judging from what I saw in the trailer for this season, I have a hunch that this’ll be a Super Rescue adaptation but with D261 as Spamcan and Norman as Bear 🤔
The ending is something I would have loved to happen in the actual CGI Show. (Having Engines not be permanently based at one shed and just have them sleep anywhere they are at the time their work is done).
According to the online video "Still the Best of Friends", the official reason Henry relocated to Vicarstown was to be closer to his work, referring to his taking trains to the Mainland in Tale of the Brave and Journey Beyond Sodor.
@@DavidBContentExtravaganza3967 Think about it…. Where do the Trains to the Mainland start… either Tidmouth Knapford or Brendam now if he’s sleeping at Vicarstown, the travel from Vicarstown all the way to Brendam or Tidmouth whatever head canon you have to take the Kipper and he has to travel the same distance to take his freight trains to the main land so moving him to Vicarstown is just pointless.
@@LMS5935 Ian McCue stated that Henry was originally going to remain at Tidmouth Sheds alongside Rebecca in the Steam Team though BWBA changed those plans sadly. Did that help you feel a bit better?
Well, bud, after watching Episode 13 of Tracks to Big Adventures, I have to say that it was another great episode and the story was good as well with it revolving around Henry helping Norman to the diesel works after he breaks down, but when Henry arrives at the diesel works, he sees the diesel that he and the other engines encountered in Bowled Out and the next day, when the diesel has to pull a goods train, he breaks down again, which then leads to Henry having to pull the diesel and his train, but when Norman breaks down with his passenger train, Henry then pushes him and pulls the diesel's train all the way to Vicarstown where Mr. Percival commends Henry on being a really useful engine while telling the diesel that he won't be welcome back to Sodor and Hiro gladly takes him away. Finally, Henry tells Norman that Mr. Percival decided to not have the engines assigned to certain sheds and they can sleep at the closest shed when their work is done at the end of the day, which Norman realizes that since the Flying Kipper ends at Vicarstown, Henry can stay at Vicarstown Sheds and Norman can stay at Vicarstown instead of going to the diesel works and at the end, when Norman and Henry are at Vicarstown Sheds, Norman asks Henry how he remembers the diesel, to which he explains the event of Bowled Out. All-in-all, in the end, it was another great video and I look forward to seeing what you have planned for Tracks to Big Adventures next, so until then, keep up the good work!
This is officially hands down my favorite episode of this series, what a amazing adaptation of Super Rescue. Great Job Thomasfan2002 keep up the great work.
I'd like to include your series in my upcoming big video as B-Roll footage, maybe some scenes if that's okay with you ThomasFan2002? :) This series is a golden example of what Thomas truly is, and today's episode literally solves one of the on-going issues with HIT/Mattel's era, and my video is all about bringing awareness to how special Thomas is to so many people.
I've especially wanted to mention that I personally love this version of the story titled Super Rescue much better than the original version as it completely obviously shows the same concept as the original version, but I personally noticed that they certainly were ACTUALLY quite amazingly outstandingly easily able to use Norman as 1 of the the Diesels who seriously seemed to completely obviously have broken down SINCE the other diesel engine turned out to be D261(Bowler) who apparently had once sucked a bowler hat through his own air intake just BEFORE taking a train WHILE Stepney the Bluebell Engine was basically visiting the North Western Railway from the Bluebell Railway!
When Henry started pulling both Norman and Class 40 and his theme started playing that was enough to make a grown man cry
I agree
Nostalgia just socked me in the face when I heard Henry’s original theme while showing his incredible strength. Splendid. Absolutely splendid.
Incredible. Miles better than his actual departure
It says a lot about how much more the fans care about this franchise than the actual owners when a fan series is genuinely better than the real show

@@LMS5935 David Brennan hates it when others try to have their own takes.
@@joshuaW5621 …oh ok
@@LMS5935 Ian McCue stated that Henry was originally going to remain at Tidmouth Sheds alongside Rebecca in the Steam Team though BWBA changed those plans sadly. Did that help you feel a bit better?
I Only Wish Super Rescue had Bear and Spamcan, than that would be a Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very cool Super Rescue.
This is how Super Rescue would have worked as an episode.
I actually made 2 super rescue adaptions, but they were lost with my old account.
8:55 *sees Henry driving backwards on his own*
Oh, so this is a Super Rescue adaptation?
Wow, absolutely brilliant. Amazing visuals, fine voice acting and an updated version of a classic story. Bravo 👏👏👏👏
This is how you throw fan service. Give it gently over the episode and now thrown at us at once.
This was great! Lovely little episode adapting a railway series story in a new light.
D261 is back I can’t believe henry still remember him
Love this rendition especially with the addition of Norman and Hiro!
Love Henry’s little blush at 13:04! So cute!
And God save the Queen! Love it!
Norman getting a lead role? POGGERS!
Now this is way better than forever and ever in my opinion. Great episode and great Henry voice acting too.
This is so good!!! And it’s i’ve been out for a while I don’t know how I didn’t see this when it came out! but I wish this was an actual CGI episode
Super Rescue 2! What a great episode.
Excellent episode using Super rescue as a loose tie in was an brilliant idea as well.
Great adaptation of awdrys original story also good use of Norman
Fantastic work, another masterpiece and a way better way to set up Henry at Vicarstown than the original series.
weird how rebecca only makes a minor appearance in her cousin's lead episode
*standing ovation* Bravo! Truly, bravo! Everything about this episode was master work.
5:03 You tell him Norman!
Well at least D261 seemed determined to finish the job, surely Mr. Percival can appreciate that.
Honestly this is probably the best way to adapt super rescue into cgi without bear
I'd like to include your series in my upcoming big video as B-Roll footage, maybe some scenes if that's okay with you ThomasFan2002? :) This series is a golden example of what Thomas truly is, and today's episode literally solves one of the on-going issues with HIT/Mattel's era, and my video is all about bringing awareness to how special Thomas is to so many people.
this was a fantastic episode, to quote the unlucky tug “what a chad moment”
Wow! Cool adapation, mate!😁
The ending is WAY better than Forever and Ever!
This video was amazing! It feels like this would’ve been an official episode of the CGI Series! Well done!
Reenactment of the classic story with a TV series twist. Beautiful work. 😊
