      David Rodriguez this comment hit me hard...because when I met my girlfriend she grew up touched on and she didn’t care about herself. She said after I came into her life I made everything better and she’s starting to respect herself now. I’m a proud young man who saved a life ❤️

      Yeah! He didn't freestyle shit. Detail wrote the song, Lil Wayne just got luck of the draw to sing it. Dumbass.
      I not once hated on him, I just stated a fact. Maybe if you passed the 3rd grade English, you'd have better reading comprehension.

    • @Trazyn_the_Infinite_40K
      @Trazyn_the_Infinite_40K 10 років тому +1

      Marlen Rodgers You don't need to use a semicolon or colon unless you're directing the reader's attention to something which is important. If I'm making a simple connection between two independent clauses, you use a comma. Had this not been important, you wouldn't have mentioned it at all if what I said about your reading comprehension meant nothing. You brought it up out of a psychological need to defend yourself. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, nobody wants to lose face in front of others or to have their reputation damaged regardless of whether company is present at the situation. Ergo, it obviously was important because I made an attack on your intelligence, which lead to a logos appeal by mentioning your ACT score, something anyone secure in their intelligence would never mention. And then returned the attack from a spiteful yet reserved tone which was palpable in your response. Again, simple psychological defense.
      Detail is a record producer, a writer, and an artist. If I recall, he has done a few songs.

      We have to start by lifting our youth up as a country and loving them together so that they will know how to love themselves. Without love for yourself you cannot give love completely and in a way that someone else deserves and wont know what kind of love they also deserve from another. So we dont have to live through another time that our children are ever going to have to feel hatred of other's for no valid reason claiming rhetoric like race or secual orientation. We have to stop this division and hatred weve allowed ONE hateful narcissist to poison our ppl and far too many of our youth.. lets get love back in our lives an pour it into our future and get our happiness BACK!!we r running out of time .. our kids r losing their future

She use to say “girl don’t nobody love you cause you don’t know how to act” mind you I really wasn’t a bad kid I just had a lot of adults who used me as deflection. S/o to Ashley tho. She’s the reason he left but I’m still healing and it’s hard. It’s been 10 years since it was exposed and I’m still trying to age with the years cause I feel stuck in 2012 and damaged by my whole childhood. God got me tho

    Even after a decade this song still makes me cry everytime I hear it. If this song is a legend I wana be cremated in this comment section along with it. It explains two sides of the story and I ended up in the latter one. And I am proud. But I still remember what my past is. And it keeps me humble, every girl has a chance to choose a side. And God helped me choose the right side. Long live Wayne for making the realest song out there. No song can beat it. Name a better song I am waiting since 10 years...

    I feel like the song has an overall message which is that everything starts with your parents. it's starts with her mom being with the wrong guy, escalates and in the end she ruins her while life one step at a time being a result of the last. then it shows how different things would be through simple changes starting with her mom. it also shows very similar scenes with very different moods to show how everything adds up.

    I always knew this song was about a woman who never had a chance to learn what real love is, but at the age of 22, I can now understand that it even extends to her not knowing how to love herself. And the singer isn't just a man enamored by her, it's a man who's speaking a pure and well-intentioned truth. He's encouraging her to overcome her insecurities, to not blame herself for her trauma. And that's beautiful.
    The music video tells a story of just how important it is for parents to love themselves and teach their children how to love.
    Always remember that you deserve the best of what life has to offer. You deserve good things. You deserve to be happy.

      He knows that most of his songs promotes drugs, sex, money, crime, etc. And I suppose that's how he made millions.
      But for sure, there were a side of him that felt sympathy for the women he got with, understood their situation and spoke about in the form of a song to warn other young ladies about going down this road. I'm glad he put this song out. :)
