Yes! For those of us who are sort of old, we can remember the feud between Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien. And the feud between Jay Leno and David Letterman, as well. This was the 1990's but still not sure if they all made up and are friends today.

Seth matches that upholstery so hard! In a way, he winds up not being seen to wear a suit. That had to be some sort of inside joke just for SC. Seth's tie is amazing and he looks so good in that suit!
I'm glad he doesn't wear a suit every night, but yeah, he was rocking that tie and suit, despite the fact that it blended into the upholstery.

I think the playlist for each episode has them in the right order, but they usually don't put together the playlist until a day or so later.
I like on After Midnight they now do the playlist pretty much right away & watching that is the whole episode now.
it's my pet peve with colbert show and people have been complaining about it for years but they don't change it

It's ALWAYS fun to hear celebrity parents talking about parenting because it SOOOO universal (celebrity or not, we're ALL doing the exact same stuff).

I also have 3 kids and 2 boys and a girl and I agree completely. My girl is so observant and looks at them to see what not to do. Today my 5 year old pinched my 11 year old hard enough to draw blood while I was busy and i pretty much begged my 7 year old daughter - can you do something about those two? And she was like, “sorry, yeah, my bad i wasn’t on point today. Don’t worry dad, I’ll control them.” 😂

But it's even more than that -- it's the idea that celebrities are celebrities whilst non-celebrities aren't. But at the end of the day, when it comes to being a parent, it's the same shit, celebrities or not.
Back in his day, he used to walk across the stage, and sit beside a fake dog to complain about his visible legs.

I think Seth is just conscious that he was more on the lean side in term of man body types. He might look thinner than the other guys, but he is actually fit and quite muscular. Just not the bulky type.

I'm so used to seeing Seth not wearing suits on his show that it's now become strange seeing him wear a suit on other shows.

We have 1 boy and 1girl. One of us was always dragging our son (oldest) back to his own bed but once she could hold her own bottle of water she was quiet and then asleep. The first time this ever happened I literally ran back into her room thinking something was wrong! 😂😂

Conditioned? Seems more like they came out that way.
That's a deeper conversation about nurture vs. nature, but ultimately my sense is that the average schoolgirl is more mature and responsible than the average schoolboy of the same age. Regardless of upbringing or expectations or socialization.
@@kenster8270agreed. there are some generalizations but you can also hear the details just from that short conversation. Stephen's daughter might very well be a bossy first born. He didn't say he made her go after her little brothers, but just that she basically calls the shots, even over him and Evie. Being a girl could have something to do with it (and Stephen seems to believe that), but not necessarily so. Seth's kids you can see that too. You got 2 kids within 2 years of each other, and they are basically live like they're 6. Then you got a 2.5 wanting to be part of the group, and it sounds like she's speaking well, so naturally she'd find the opportunity to tell them off like equals. The feeding thing I understand, sometimes you just want them to stop goofing around, shove the last few bites in and get on with your day, and the little one wants to "do it myself like big kids". Again being a girl could have someone to do it with (and Seth seems to believe that as well), but not necessarily so.
I am annoyed with how The Late Show does not label which clip is before which. Watching 1, 3, 2 is not as good an experience as 1, 2, 3.

My mom had to spoon-feed my sister up to 3rd grade. She was a very sloooooow eater. It's like she was waiting for the food to melt in her mouth😂. We'd be late to school almost everyday, if we waited for her to finish breakfast by her own.

@@joemagnus5085 Yeah. She eats at normal speed eventually. But if you have a slow eater kid, spoon-feeding is quite helpful. My sister only started chewing when she saw another spoonful food coming. We don't know why. It was the same whether she liked the food or not.

My older brother and I are 9 years apart (I'm FtM) when he was 13 and I was 4, my parents asked him where the pots and pans were to teach him how to make Mac and Cheese or something. He's looking around, and here comes the 4 year old running in to open the drawer and pull out a pot for him. I could also cut my pancakes before 6th grade, so I beat him there, too.

Yikes, I hope your kids never read that. My mother was my world growing up - my father never had time for me, my mother was always there to help me grow and to catch me when falling. As an adult I realize the loss of not having co-involved parents.
@@kindabluejazz don't get me wrong, I give 100% to being a mom. I never liked kids. I still don't like most other kids but I love my children. I don't love being a mom. I look forward to the day my kids are adults and we can have separate lives but healthy relationships.

Not everyone decides motherhood or fatherhood is their entire reason for being. These are just a couple of factors on decision of child rearing. Wanting to raise children with your partner and wanting to have adult children in the future are also factors. I don't like kids, but I love my young daughter and expecting a boy. I want to raise them right and with love and see them become healthy safe and happy adults. I had a haircut the other day and my stylist has 4 children (early teen to almost adult). She said if she could go back she'd have none. Her kids were in the back as she said this. I said well I know many parents say they love their kids when they are not with them..hah. She said she loved them when they were babies. Honestly I know teens are no joke, but I rather love them as adults then have babies because I love babies and children. If that's the case I'd work in childcare.

When I see celebrities openly discussing their experiences with parenting and showing their good parenting skills, it gives me a sense of reassurance and inspiration. Knowing that even famous and busy individuals can prioritize and excel in their role as a parent, makes me feel hopeful and confident about my own future as a parent. Their parenting skills and techniques serve as a great example for me to follow and aspire towards. Seeing how they handle challenges and prioritize their children's well-being, it makes me realize the importance of being a hands-on and loving parent. I believe that when I have my own children in the future, I will strive to be just like these celebrities and provide them with the same level of love, care, and guidance.

The way that Seth delivers jokes about the Pope and Catholic priests in general which so often, seemingly without fail, reference the abuse crisis in the Church, makes me kind of glad he is not in the group of comedians meeting the Pope this time. Don't get me wrong, these are totally fair jokes for him or anyone else to make as individual jokes. But the constant joking about this terrible and shameful thing just don't come across as being done with love or even respect. I contrast it with the variety of jokes Stephen makes regularly about Biden and the Pope, both of whom he obviously has great respect if not reverence for as a person but still needs and wants to joke about them.
I wouldn't want Colin Jost or Michael Che from SNL to be in the group of comedians meeting the pope for the same reason. And I am subscribed to his UA-cam channel but I honestly don't watch Jimmy Fallon enough to make a similar call on whether I agree with his meeting the pope (I like his games with guests more than his monologues or his interviews with guests so I often skip the talky parts of his show).

Spoon feeding your eight year old and keeping them from using basic English words seems kinda weird and helicoptery.

I think (hope) the spoon feeding was a joke.
Many of us work on quelling the use of the word 'hate;' listening to the Meyers brothers' podcast, I've noticed that our upbringings were similar (heavy emphasis on education), and this was one lesson I too passed on from my parents when raising my own kids. 'Hate' is a strong word, and used indiscriminately it loses some of its punch. Better to teach kids that they can use other words more descriptive of their feelings. It's not so much about censorship as encouraging effective communication.
Only thing that could make this interview better is if the rest of the Strike Force Five just shows up for the rest of the show
