Easily the best Queensryche show I had ever seen. It was cold as hell that night out there. I'll always remember my friend wanting to skip it to go drink at Raven Tower immediately changing his mind and having a blast as soon as the first song kicked in.
so glad i got to see Queensrych with all original members back in the early 90’s during the “hear in the now tour” this is as close as you’re going to get to seeing and hearing the real thing 🤘🏼🎸🎶
I'm jealous. I love the early stuff. They played Blinded. I saw them open for Kiss in 1984 and the last time I seen them play it. Congrats on being there. Todd nails the old stuff.
Queensryche have been killing it live and on all the albums after Geoff was fired. They opened for priest in Vegas on the fire power tour a few years back and were incredible. I wish Geoff the best, but Queensryche are kicking ass without him and in my opinion, they should continue doing what they're doing because it's awesome.
I could be wrong but I think they fired him. I remember reading about a fight or argument backstage after a show that was the end of him being the vocalist they all had enough of him. @@eddiemuniz761
The drummers killing it big shoes singing flat at times and a lot of scream sound the same had my doubts but my opinion overall keeping the name alive great show definitely see you here Tennessee two and a couple songs in the end from other albums good stuff
You gotta be a really big queensrych fan for this. Breaking out tunes they haven't played since 85? Good for them though. Better than doing the standard hits show
Jackson is there too let’s not forget. Many bands go through lineup changes especially after 40 years. Tate was fired and De Garmo decided to do something else in life. Move on.
A very good performance. However, I believe the decision to take this "old school" setlist on tour confirms that classic QR songs are much better than the new material. DeGarmo and Tate are irreplaceable, IMO.
They Definitely have the best sound by far out of this entire Festival! Thank Gawd I didn't pay to fly out there to witness these Classic bands sound like utter shit playing thur the house Amps or whatever sound system they constructed! Terrible! Wacken & K.I.T. has spoiled Me! not to mention Daytime Metal is the worst! Helstar set couldn't been more Cringey! But hey Man! Thanx for all full sets!!! I do appreciate it! Hail!
@@rickylex2735 Yeah! Mostly all of them. But what they had to "Play" thur Wasn't even worthy of a high school Dance! Seems the bands that played in the "Indoor" venue sounded best! What the f are you talking about, Geoff blewed it for himself and Chris left because he wanted another life. Be glad Michael and Ed continued. They keep the legacy alive. Ever listened to Geoff's solo albums. They all suck.
I'm not a huge 'ryche fan but you've got to be happy that they're out there bringing it to the fans. The dynamics are without doubt worlds apart from the original band, they were never the same after Degarmo left but that doesn't mean they don't deliver. The drummer is great but he ain't Scott likewise Todd, he's doing a great job but he doesn't have the deep rich tones that Geoff Tate had/has. Again that doesn't mean they shouldn't be appreciated, this Queensryche is better than no Queensryche at all surely??
I always thought The Warning was a letdown after the amazing EP.....now Rage For Order....that's their true metal masterpiece..... Too bad nobody in the band in this video had much of anything to do with writing that.
Yes, Wilton had a huge part in the songwriting on the ep and first four albums, contrary to some popular belief. Sure, DeGarmo and Tate were the posterboys and lyricists, but the music was all Wilton/DeGarmo from the start...
Wilton had little to do with writing anything , he was given writing credits to keep him happy , Chris even wrote his guitar parts. Wilton at most had ideas on "riffs" Wilton can not write a song and never has
Wow...this is Quensyche as close as you can come to the classic 82-84 material. Chapeau !!!! ... Thx for capturing and sharing.... . Enjoy the tour

Thanks for posting !!! Awesome Band !!!
This was the first time they played "Before The Storm" since 1985 I believe!
I was there side stage... incredible show!!! 🖤💜🤘

Damn this show was goooood!!!! They sound better than they have in quite some time. LONG LIVE THE RYCHE!
I was literally in this same spot a few people behind you lol this is like reliving that phenomenal set all over, thanks for uploading!
These are killer albums this band writing and the depth to their music early on is beyond incredible !!!!
One is an Ep.
Saw them last night in Albany, NY last night and they killed it with the first 2 albums!!!
Thanks for posting the whole show!
Fantastic! Been wanting to see this since I bought the EP 40 years ago!
Seeing them in april, cant FUCKIN wait, first concert i'll ever have been to
It was about time they played Before the Storm! One of my faves! Todd nailed it!
The way Todd owned Queen of the Reich gives me goosebumps
One of the best bands great shiow

Totally agree. They kick ass!🤘🤘🤘🤘

Killer set list, but kind of a shame that Prophecy was omitted.
I was thinking the same thing. Prophecy is a great song.
They played it the following night, instead of Empire as the encore.
@@norlinos667 Yup, replaced Empire with Prophecy thankfully in OKC.
@@norlinos667 I’m seeing them end of April
I hope they play Prophecy
I’ve seen empire live before. I would like something different
"prophecy" was never on the OG 206 release. That song was added by EMI well after the fact.
Good lord, i got a new respect for Todd

The singer is Geoffs doppelganger.
They tore it up
He's no Geoff Tate but he's pretty damn close. Tate was so much more polished but it's an experience thing.
You gotta be a really big queensrych fan for this. Breaking out tunes they haven't played since 85? Good for them though. Better than doing the standard hits show
This was so fucking rad.
rad or bad? lol trust me this does not sound like how they sounded in 83 at all this is sloppy and just not good.
I meant rad. The whole set that night was a ton of fun.
oh man goosebumps...
No Tate, No DeGarmo, No Rockenfield.
Tribute band.
Live in Tokyo
GO WATCH IT.
Great
That drum kid is a quarter size of scotts original chain set 😂
no Prophecy? =(
They replaced Empire with Prophecy thankfully in OKC the following night.
Anyone know what guitar Whip opened with?
Looks like a black ESP Akira Takasaki model. I think they even selling/sold it under the brand name "Killer", but with a different headstock.
Talented vocalist, but QR isn’t QR without Tate and DeGarmo. It’s now Wilts cover band.

Geoff was smart in keeping the rights to do the Mindcrimes in their entirety.
Or it's just a celebration of the 40 years of The Warning after the tour for Digital Noise Alliance that focused heavily on the last 4 albums..

I was considering seeing this tour but the upside down cross on the guy singing for Geoff put me off. Sorry, gonna skip this one.
Stryper is on tour unplugged. Enjoy.
Just noticed the same thing and had the same thought.
And Todd is not "singing for Geoff." Todd has been QR's frontman 11 years now.
