In 21:29 I thought "Who is this angel singing?" at 2:30. I was surprised when I found out it was Chaeyoung. I dunno why, I know she can sing but I guess we are used to focusing on her rap skills.

Chaeyoung does not rap but she takes Mina's lines ( as we saw in the showcase) so JYP is prob trying to show her vocal ability and let Dahyun show her rap abilities better
I've always preferred Dahyun's rapping to Chaeyoung's, and always thought Chaeyoung was an amazing vocalist. So I've never understood why Chaeyoung was always presented as the first-and-foremost rapper over Dahyun. So I'm hoping they've evolved past that.
schizowallflower I’m the other way around, Chaeyoung has done actual rap before she came in Twice were Dahyun just started out as a vocalist and JYP made her a rapper.

I liked Chaeyoung's rapping during Sixteen but I feel like after Debut she became overshadowed by Dahyun in that department, and her Melody Project shows where she really shines. I don't hate her rapping, I just think her vocal ability is very underrated and underutilized. And Momo's rapping is great too; I wish they'd use it more but she's a much better vocalist, especially in her natural deeper tone like in Breakthrough and Precious Love.

Amazing rapper; amazing, under utilised vocals; great dancing capability, and top tier visuals.
Her vocals deffo need to shine more since her rap dept. is already ahead of dahyun's but not THAT far of considering how far dahyun have come since debut. Dahyun meanwhile also has great vocals, but not on par with the actual vocals of the group and her rap is way better than her vocals, objectively. Hell she even compensates at the fact she can play instruments

Yeah i thought it was weird Dahyun got that whole rap section. Usually its split between the two. Maybe they did it this way because they knew Chae was gonna perform Minas lines in their promotions as well
I prefer this concept, fancy and this song is such a great bop i love how theyre stepping out of their comfort zone and see more mature concept from them.

@Shanny Boo jyp told momo to lose weight (7kg in a week) otherwise she would not debut. she was already quite thin but she was so anxious about losing her second chance that she starved herself to do it and achieved it in 10 days. she slept every night worrying if she would wake up because she literally ate nothing for 10 days. i mean it's great that they're giving mina the time to rest and i do admire them for taking mental health seriously, but momo's pre-debut treatment is abhorrent.

@@woosan9189 She comes from Taiwan/Republic of China which is not officially recognized as independent. When introducing herself she said she was Taiwanese and held a Taiwanese/Republic of China flag, and was accused by a Taiwanese born/Chinese actor of being pro-independence. A lot of Chinese fans were extremely angry and accused her of taking advantage of them and having an "unpatriotic" view or whatever. Twice was banned from China, and Tzuyu had to issue an apology to the public. Taiwan said she shouldn't have to apologize, and overall it was just complicated. It was made very political when she legitimately said nothing.

I think Twice started their mature concept and style from Yes or Yes. It was a slow descent but it prepared us to get used their mature/sexy/elegance concept. Then, Twice continued with Fancy which showed their dark elegance and then with Breakthrough, which showed more of their sexiness. Finally, when Twice has successfully shed off their colorful, cute concept and we got used of seeing Twice as serious and mature, Twice came with Feel Special, which is completely mature, sexy and elegant with not a single element of cuteness.
I see Twice transition into a mature concept as follows:

3)Breakthrough

It's okay! As a chae stan, she got to rap and shine a lot in Fancy, and now she'll get to show everyone she can sing too. She also got to share her screen time with Mina, who everyone has been missing, and she gets her lines during promo I heard. I think it's really good that she gets to show she's more than a rapper!
Kameko Miyamora I also stan Chae and if you watch the showcase video for their promotions, Chae sings Mina’s part. That’s probably why they gave Dubu the whole rap because they wanted Chae to cover Mina’s parts. ☺️

Love your reaction video and the details on the production side! What did you think of the lyrics and the symbolism in the video? In a press release by JYP it was mentioned that JYP has written the lyrics based on the conversations with the members.
To me this song definitely has the most meaningful lyrics of their title tracks. It is a dance track, but at the same time a bit emotional/sad vibe to it. I definitely love this song and time will tell where it will end up on my list of favorite songs from Twice.
That "OH MY GOD!" on 3:24 had me dying. 🤣 Cause I had the same reaction when I first saw that goddes jihyo.

The MV is complex and gorgeous even if I actually prefer a musical style more similar to Fancy and Likey, because that style really makes me feel happy, but Feel Special is different and is actually really cool!

for years i thought that TWICE’s concept was “cute, lovely, innocent” but now i feel like their concept was from the start “growing up, becoming mature, self building” they are now women
The lyrics hit me so hard. I relate it so much. For real, it’s the best comeback that they ever had since their debut. They’re getting better and better each comeback. This is why I love them since a long time.
I actually really like how TWICE is trying something new, FANCY & Feel Special weren't those cute typical TWICE songs but they still scream TWICE, like you can still hear that it's TWICE, it's as catchy as their other songs and I absolutely love it. Definitely want to see more of these concepts in the future

I think this is my favorite twice song and that's saying something. The lyrics, beat and vocals are out of this world. And the mv is perfection and they all look like actual Goddesses

The starting scene (today's version?) with the white futuristic/ modern room gave way to show a whimsical landscape. Jihyo's scene simbolizes to me of her trainee days when she waited so long and saw some of her friends debuting, and that made her feel bad. And she found a friend who always thought she had soemthing special. All these girls didnt smile eventhough they looked so good standing alone on their own set. But seeing someone there with them, makes them feel more great and they smile, meaning they dont care about how much prettier they are than others if they can just share the stage together, this is what i got from this mv
