I remember playing this all the time with my big brother when I was little. I was absolutely obsessed with the story mode, even though I wasn't very good at it lol. My favorite part was always the one with Samus and Pikachu, simply because they were our favorite characters to play as (Samus his, Pikachu mine) Despite me not really understanding how to play the game or how to be good at it, my brother was always very patient with me and was willing to help me learn and progress, and I eventually got pretty decent at it for a 6-7 year old kid

In a retrospective review, I think Sonic should had appeared in most part of the story mode (just like Snake), and had an important role, not just appearing at the last minute.

Brawl is so incredible. I dont think we'll see another game like it. This story mode is amazing. Seeing all these characters interacting with one another is a dream come true. I hope we get another ambitious story mode in the next Smash. I never owned Brawl as a kid. A friend had it and i played it and his house and when he brought it over to mine. My brothers and our friend would play Brawl all the time. I was mesmerized with the opening and the story mode. We all played it together (well i didnt play it because i was the youngest, only had 3 controllers, and there were 4 of us, sometimes 5) and beat the story mode together. I miss doing that as a kid. Everyone working together to get through a single-player game. The fight against Tabuu was incredible. Took my oldest brother like a week to beat. Eventually, my friend got older and gave the game to me. I played it all the time at home. I played through the adventure mode on my own. While I like this game, I always felt that the ending was rather lame, like Tabuu gets defeated, all the worlds get put back together and that’s it, they could’ve had all of the characters celebrating their victory, including their enemies, sure they kind of do that in the credits, but those are all just the characters in still poses while looking at the sunset, I feel that the ending could’ve been much better than what we ultimately got, to make it feel more satisfying for completing the adventure.
