- In this video, we will explore the unexpected update released yesterday. This update includes the latest AIRAC cycle and, additionally, numerous airports that have been enhanced by the community through the World Hub tool. The improvements predominantly concern smaller airports, as well as those located in the US, Eastern Europe, and Asia.

I highly suspect there was some major bug fixes. A lot of people were experiencing crash to desktop, stuck on checking for updates and lost connection. I did absolutely every fix possible without success. I even did a complete reinstall of my computer and MSFS without luck. The issues affected both my pc and Xbox. I even saw a couple of UA-cam suffer the lost connection issue while streaming. Lastly, since the issue was happening on both PC and Xbox I took the drastic step of deleting all my cloud data thus destroying all my logs and completely unrecoverable. Yesterday I was getting ready to repeat my steps when I saw an update. To my surprise after the update everything worked. Microsoft needs to be 100% transparent with problems and do a better job of posting searchable fixes. I found UA-camrs, like yourself, give better advice than Zendesk. Sorry for rambling on but I am really ticked off with Microsoft.
Msfs 2024 is coming in November and this so called Msfs 2020 optimization thing won’t let us satisfied. And what even worse is Asobo doesn’t really care about customer complaints
no problem from rambling, the connection issue is something I don't experience myself that much anymore, luckily.... Did you already tried to move all your community addons temp. to a different folder?
@@Highintheflightsimsky I not only tried to move the community folder, but also I repaired the sim numerous time just for fixing strange issues such as slow WiFi connection speeds when downloading dlc from sim market , and the most trouble for me is the sim optimization . although the device I am using is above the recommended spec but still not that ideal.
Guys ... general rule about MSFS updates is - empty your Community folder (move to backup one for example) install update , quit sim , move stuff back and run MSFS again ..everything should be OK .
yep 100% agree,until now most issues I experienced were caused by community addons
Just rename it to (i.e. Community_orig) and create a new community folder. After the update rename the empty one to(i.e. Communtiy_Upd) and the other back to Community.
Works just fine.

I had a lot of problems after update 15 (staying forever on opening page, searching for updates). This seems solved.

After the update I've been having nearly constant 'Connection Lost' and 'Not Enough Bandwidth, Switching to Offline Mode' errors. The sim is unplayable.
I have a solid 650Mb/s up/down internet connection.

Thanks for this info. Question: Will 3rd party airports be affected when one of these updates is done? For example, I have 3rd party KBWI. It was also on the update list. Thanks!
hi topcat well I can imagine that if you have a 3rd party airport which is overwriting the “default” airport it could cause issues. But I haven’t seen any reports yet

This confuses me. If I have a navigraph sub, what does this mean? Doesn't Navigraph update any of this stuff in sim?
No , its separated .. Navigraph only adds another option , so in case of FBWA320 for example you can either fly with MSFS database or Navigraph .

Some of my purchased planes disappeared... What should I do??..
raise a case with Asobo although I think they already confirmed the issue and a few hours ago confirmed it was fixed so try again. If not fixed raise a case and work with their support
It made my MSFS reset 😢 I needed to set all my settings, controls and such again....
Really? I think the setting is in a different location in my document. I tried to uninstall and install to the new location the settings are normal, graph setting, control, etc, everything is normal no need to calibrate.
mmm sounds like the settings in the cloud were messed up in that case

It makes it very sad when WORLD MAP is on a different AIRAC to SIMBRIEF which is still 2306. Utter crap!

This update killed my entire configuration. So be aware.

Pure trash! Why must the update be mandatory?
That is a valid question on the other side I can imagine that it will make support easier for them since they know everyone is on the latest version

I believe it came through to me yesterday (June 17), but when I googled the update, it said it was released May 30.
So I’m a bit confused.
