One thing that is heard a lot is that Jason doesn't have the quad. Yes there is a reason he is not spinning 4 times in the air just yet. First of all the men he is competing against who toss out quads left and right have a physical build that is much different than Jason's. They are lighter, smaller and it's easier for them to do it because of those aspects about them. Jason is taller, heaver and would need to take an extremely dangerous risk just to practice a quad. Due to his natural size, if he doesn't land right trying to do one, his career is done. That said, he compensates by adding the various moves and edges that gain him scores still high enough to always keep him towards the top of the board. The judges also always look at other factors besides the spins. Ice skating is not all about just spins, it's about much much more. Jason is creative, talented and he can do things that those who pump out quads left and right would have trouble doing. in my opinion of course. He's a keeper.
