He said it was for beginners but used a lot of fishing slang and/or terminology that only someone that’s been fishing would know. He also didn’t show us how to set the rod up either.

I'm convinced there is some kind of conspiracy amongst fishermen. I've been clicking through video after video that claim they are for absolute beginners and they all use so much terminology without explaining any of it. Do they not want anyone to learn how to fish?
its not just you - i'm two minutes in and it's unwatchable. dude uses so much terminology in the first 90 seconds its almost laughable - if want to break something down to someone you have to describe it as if they have no idea because surprise - I DONT. if i knew what these words meant, i wouldnt have looked up "fishing for beginners"

Nice... I will try to feed the fish to attract them. Have had no luck using plastic worms. Live bait always gets eaten by turtles tho. I will update using your methods!
This was a little too technical for me as a beginner. I get the info on the Float and that was helpful, but no clue on how to do the knots and stuff. I'll have to keep digging.
Well it said this video is for beginner, definitely need some basic knowledge of fishing to understand this video. I have no idea what all those terms mean, like float, plummet? Tieing the rope? I dont even know how a fishing rod work.
Hi Coolrider, Hopefully our Beginner Basics series will help teach you the basic knowledge 😊 Check out a few other videos in the playlist ⬇️ ua-cam.com/play/PL-bGU2HxFcAMFlSbglwPA1V6orS3jTh03.html
So many UA-cam videos do tell buy this model rod this model reel. But nobody says what the specification should check when buying a reel or rod for beginners. What are the meaning of specifications that is mentioned on the rod and reel
For everyone who doesn’t understand terminology, use your brains. Float = floaty thing, hook = hook, BB = ball bearing/lead ball, it’s not hard to figure out what these do. Float floats, bbs sink, hook catches
That is something you will have to ask the muncipality where you live about. They might have a map over approved fishing grounds as well as information about the various species' spawning periods where fishing might be prohibited. Best of luck to you.
Hi Hayden, If the fish is lightly hooked, the hook can carefully be removed with your fingers. If is hooked deeper you will need a disgorger. Check out the video below to see how to use a disgorger ⬇️ ua-cam.com/video/Znbkcervj_A/v-deo.html Hope this helps 😊
Depends where you are fishing. Regulations of that place will determine if it is catch and release... look up your local fish and game laws/enforcement.
Well this isn’t actually about beginner fishing your talking about float fishing isn’t a beginner guide supposed to teach people how to set up a rod or tie the line and which rod to get and how to set the hook on a fish and which pound tess line to use for any type of fish?

"Teach a man to fish" is truly a dead term.
I just watched a golf video and had the same sentiment.
Yeah honestly, UA-cam tutorial videos are becoming so hard to digest nowadays
For anyone looking to get into fishing a great video. Oh & it's helped this 72yr old to remember why he prefers method fishing as well 😉

still looking for a complete video for beginners. Ive never fished before, i dont know what line i need or anything. Surely there is a video out there
I’ll be making videos on my Instagram soon on basic fishing needs. People try to over complicate things and it’s really annoying

It’s not hard to work out. The most confusing thing he said was about making the float work or whatever he was saying but it’s so easy to figure out
I've seen about 10 videos of fishing and still have no idea wtf im suppose to do im not giving up tho

I’m a beginner I got one question is when you hook the fish how do you take to the hook of it?
Hi Hayden,
If the fish is lightly hooked, the hook can carefully be removed with your fingers. If is hooked deeper you will need a disgorger.

Just use some angled pliers, keep them in your tackle box, you don't want them back in your tool box 🤢
When you say the rod "comes in at 30 pounds" Is that the weight it can handle or how heavy that particular rod is?
I think he meant like British pounds and not the weight because a fishing rod that’s 30 pounds is insane
Hi Michael,
It will be the cost of the rod £30.
Video after video just like this. I agree with the other comment saying there's gotta be some inside joke amongst these youtubers.
Bro just made 9 min ad 😂😂😂
This must be the beginner advanced version.
those hooks are tiny.. what are you fishing for sardines?
Don't judge a fisherman by the size of his hook 🤣
You have to put back the fish ?😮
Depends where you are fishing. Regulations of that place will determine if it is catch and release... look up your local fish and game laws/enforcement.
