Atleast Romero engaged a couple times. All izzy did was counter. It was Romero stratt aswel. But if both guys wait for the other, you just have to engage once and a while. All he did was run.

"No intention of fighting fire with fire?" WHAT? What fire lol? Romero didn't do shit, never chased, never attacked, never tried anything.
Adesanya was the one who was the most offensive in the fight, he kept hitting Romero with leg kicks. Romero did literally nothing in response, what "fire" was Adesanya supposed to be countering? He was winning by points and he knew it, and Romero is an explosive fighter so Adesanya would be crazy to be more aggressive than he needed to be.
The only logical gameplan for Romero was to be the one on the offensive, yet he didn't do that, I mainly blame him for the fight being boring, Izzy was ready to fight fire with fire but Romero didn't bring any.
Also the performance Romero just had in Bellator was like this so I think it's highly evident it's because of him and not Izzy. I don't even like Izzy honestly.

Romero got maybe like 6 overhands in whole constantly taking punishment to the leg the whole fight through, he DID out point him and with Alex he literally landed multiple strikes. The first round of Pereira vs Adesanya 1 was a toss up the second and third were also close but Poatan’s I’d say, there was also the takedown where Izzy was dominant on the ground too

I feel like people are confused, you guys aren’t paying to see people kill each other, this isn’t a fucking galactic ring. You guys aren’t even paying to see them fight. Their job is to win, y’all are just witnesses you have to understand that. If your playing a game and being passive = more wins you would play passive even though it’s boring. But this isn’t a game, it’s life, it can alter your life permanently, it decides your future. They can do whatever they want to win.
If you want to see people kill each other, go watch more aggressive fighters who rely more on being aggressive and using strength.
Izzy is a technical fighter, this is what you should be expecting from him wether you like it or not.
it was a “bad” fight, but it was also a victory, that’s the only thing that matters. The aggressiveness itself will either happen, or won’t happen and both is ok. Just how it is.
