I have followed you from your early videos with Taira Sensei. Thank you for making the gasshuku / instruction available.Various hand drills by the players are performed to get a sense of the basic applications. Isn't knowing the hand drills necessary to properly execute the applications found in the players set? The hand drills that Taira Sensei and you instruct appear to be "unique" to your curriculum. My late teacher, Robert Choji Taiani, would have senior students "play Chinese" during kata practice with a partner. It involved much of you teach...For the uninitiated, are there online instructions solely on hand drills that may benefit and build this most valuable skill? Thank you.

Yes, I would say becoming familiar with the hand drills (connector drills) is a key component.It's useful to understand that the connector drills are simply the 'blocking' movements (jo, chu, gedan) put into action.
