Amazing story Scotty, the part describing your son's arrival really struck a chord with me too. I've done the 1am follow-the-ambulance-to-NICU drive myself when my son was born and it was VERY touch and go, so I totally sympathise that's for sure. Also another vote here for a Scotty's Campfire Stories series, I love that idea!
The best part of all Scotty’s video’s is the fact he portrays his true self, it’s what sets him apart from other content creators and what will deservingly give him every success. Love your work 👌
I think people like you mate because your a normal bloke, genuine bloke with real world problems like a lot of others out here, grinding away, making opportunities for you and your family! Hats off to you and can only wish the best for you as this progresses and builds, is there any back lash from street machine at all or are they happy to have you creating beside/ with them? 👍👍👍

These days, very few magazines are available, with no DVDs anymore. The newsagents are also disappearing as well now. UA-cam and Google supply all you need these days. Thanks for sharing, Scotty. I had made good friends with the team at Street Fords (EP’s other side of the coin to Street Commodores) 15-20 years back and caught up with them every time they were in Victoria. They’d asked me at one point of I’d consider moving to Sydney to write or do video content for them- I was kind of glad that I declined after hearing about EP’s toxic work environment.
We all love you Scotty, you are a honest genuine person that brings a refreshing attitude to videos, started watching you doing the 13s for $1300. Carnage wouldn't be as good if it wasn't for you.

It's easy to write hate anonymously. Thank you for sharing this with us mate. P.S. I remember V6 Vengeance so well, I was buying all those mags back then, and I was in between VL BT1's at the time, you almost swayed me to turbo a V6 mang! Amazing to hear how you have come about making content on cars and I am looking forward to seeing what this channel becomes in the years to come. Have loved some of the previous projects on streetmachine 👍
Good job Scotty. I went to school with Gonzo Travaglini from grade 5 to year 12. He speaks very highly of you. Keep up the good work on the channel…..!!
Great story and was great to put all the pieces together, I never paid attention to the names in mags to be honest. V6 Vengeance started just as I got my licence so although I was all about my VL's at the time, I was always interested in the VN's V6 journey in the mag!
I remember the Oakleigh office, atherton rd, someone there rode a bike everyday parked side front, i would buzz by ,3.30 leaving work everyday, on my 2 stroke😎😎
Thanks for been there for us all Scotty love the videos and to think I used to buy those magazines when I was like 10 years old and here iam watching you on UA-cam all these years later love your work mate
Don't worry about the trash Scotty, let it all roll I say. Keep telling your story coz you share well and you make it interesting with the information you chuck in like road kill. Good to hear what goes on behind the seens 👍
Scotty, thanks for the background video. I like the long format podcast type format, it means I can put the head phones in a either go for a walk or listen whilst I do other things, like work, with out having to look at the screen all the time. It would be great I you could do a few more and even interview/ talk shit with other like minded people. Scotty’s cars would be interesting. I’m one of seven boys and always joke that I should write a book called “cars my brothers have crashed” Keep up the good work.😊
Sounds like a great title. I've got to say that while the video seems popular with those who have watched it, I think the length might be putting people off because it's not getting as many views. That makes me hesitant to do many like this.
Always wondered why Scottys stopped. I just assumed that street machine took up too much time. I'm so sorry to hear of the hate. Re: Alex. I remember you putting the call out, and had I been able to, at the time, I would have happily donated. I'm so glad to see Scottys is back, and I look forward to seeing and hearing more of this journey going forward. Well done, mate.
It took up a fair amount of time but yeah it was the hater that really got to me. I shot a couple episodes of me redoing the shed and never did the third one because of trolls.
Hey Scotty, a wonderful episode. Very different to Carnage, and I loved it. You have had quite the journey. My take away is, your a proud family man that loves cars. So am I. 👍
Wow the 90s yep I remember ,slow internet and yes I got the slick 6 mag as well as I used to play with valiants around that time. The best part of the nineties was that you could buy a valiant charger for a few hundred dollars and drive it home.
I can't offer much apart from my love and support, as always love watching your vids helps things seem a little less crap. 😊 In our travels to and from the croc garden and radio station might get a chance to say Hi. 🙂
Thanks, Scott. Great story. I didn't know before about MotorTrend and the YT $5M. I suspect that probably also included some of their other shows like Roadkill Garage and Dirt Every Day. But yeah, I imagine they cost a lot to produce. Support crews and insurance. And they probably get the shitboxes thoroughly checked over before they get anywhere near a public road.
Roadkill Garage came later, but I believe Dirt Every Day was probably part of the 5 million deal. I don't think anyone checks the cars before they hit the road, though. I've seen a lot of them up close and personal on one of my US trips, and they are rough as hell. They make Carnage cars look like show pieces in comparison.

You are a top block Scotty been following U since Scotty's garage luv ya work 👍
In for the cars of Scotty, including shenanigans in said cars.
Outstanding old boy…😜
Wow 48k subs. How cool is that. Love the story.
Not bad seeing it was 42,000 about two weeks ago
Thanks for the back story
Good job Scotty.
I went to school with Gonzo Travaglini from grade 5 to year 12.
He speaks very highly of you.
Keep up the good work on the channel…..!!
Gonzo is a great guy
I remember the time v6 vengeance came out , was a big influence to me with my first 6s!
Be strong love you brother val s for ever
Scotty you will succeed you deserve the best you say it how it is haters will only make you better you do you
Scotty you're a real true Australian bloke keep soldering on good luck to you and the family love your work 👍
Onwards and Upwards Scotty...
Great story and was great to put all the pieces together, I never paid attention to the names in mags to be honest.
V6 Vengeance started just as I got my licence so although I was all about my VL's at the time, I was always interested in the VN's V6 journey in the mag!
Great trip down memory lane Scotty, I miss the old print media. Zoom was the best mag, it had a bit of everything👌🏻
I used to enjoy Zoom as well. I always liked cool engine swaps
I remember the Oakleigh office, atherton rd, someone there rode a bike everyday parked side front, i would buzz by ,3.30 leaving work everyday, on my 2 stroke😎😎
Yeah, there were several bikes guys at the Oakleigh office
Thanks for been there for us all Scotty love the videos and to think I used to buy those magazines when I was like 10 years old and here iam watching you on UA-cam all these years later love your work mate
Thanks mate
Love it keep going scotty
Cool story. Cheers for putting yourself out there, takes guts to share your entire life on the internet.
Don't worry about the trash Scotty, let it all roll I say. Keep telling your story coz you share well and you make it interesting with the information you chuck in like road kill. Good to hear what goes on behind the seens 👍
Love these type of videos. Awesome, hearing the back story.
I’m one of seven boys and always joke that I should write a book called “cars my brothers have crashed”
Keep up the good work.😊
Sounds like a great title. I've got to say that while the video seems popular with those who have watched it, I think the length might be putting people off because it's not getting as many views. That makes me hesitant to do many like this.
Thanks Scotty 👍
I did plenty of that. Most of my Valiants were $1000 or less
Looking forward to the rebirth of the channel 👍🏻
I can't offer much apart from my love and support, as always love watching your vids helps things seem a little less crap. 😊
In our travels to and from the croc garden and radio station might get a chance to say Hi. 🙂
Great story Scotty. Feels like just sitting around having a chat with an old mate. Looking forward to the Clevo in the Trolvo 😉.
That was a good watch.
Up here in England, it was interesting to hear about Aussie magazines and stuff.
So glad your back doing Scotty’s garage been a fan since 13’s for $1300 and the vn v6 build ect! Can’t wait to start seeing more vids!
So awesome to hear your story! Legend!
