She makes her stance on the issue pretty clear when she says she's not used to having infrared cameras watching her. She doesn't care at all that she was doing it. She only cares that she couldn't get away with lying about it.
Right. Her tone implies that she only regrets getting caught. It also implies that this is something she's done on dates before...in public....around children. 🤡
She's not used to being watched by cameras BUT she is used to doing it with a paying audience. Just think about it. They can sell her episodes as porn movies!!

Oh. She's from a state that allows women to get divorced? Crowder warned us about this. Now look at her. Yea...she likes when you look. She wants you and your kids to see.
I think at one point in an interview (before this) she referred to herself as a Hot Grandma after she proudly confirmed that her high-school aged 17-year-old son had knocked up his girlfriend. She even joked about how her son said that it must be a family predisposition to teen pregnancy, as Loebert also got pregnant as a teen, and her mother gave birth to her when she was a teen. (Christian morality and values, amirite?)
As a former theatre kid myself let me just say I would have *loved* hearing the backstage gossip! People have no idea just how clearly performers can see the shenanigans going on in the crowd! 😂
I can literally hear the stage manager whisper shouting ‘shut up, yeah I know who that is, places, I don’t f’ing care, get out there, less smoke machine, not our business! ….(Into the earpiece) Security? Yeah, there’s a thing in row ten…’
Yeah, her defenders who claim “oooh she didn’t know about the sneaky lil camera” don’t seem to realize that everyone around her and on stage could likely see her and her date, clear as day. It ain’t that dark in the orchestra section.
YES I remember this one time a girl came to our school’s show and she was in the front row and she was on her phone during the performance. Everyone was talking about it backstage and we were pissed. I can only imagine what the backstage talk for this scenario would be like
I’m a smoker, and my first thought was: Who tf smokes in a THEATRE?? Yeah, a lot of people might say, it’s a vape, not a real cigarette, so it’s just water vapor. Nah, don’t go there. Theatre says don’t smoke you don’t smoke.
@@GrumpyOldFart2 I vape THC and the disposable vape pen she was using looked just like mine! If that's the case the second hand vapor absolutely has an intoxicating effect. My husband vapes nicotine and there's a significant, noticeable difference in the amount of vapor emitted by the two types of vape pens. Neither option is acceptable in this situation! None of that compares to her giving her date an over the pants hand job in public.
i feel like there is also a difference between doing something sexual in a drive in, where you have some level of privacy being in a car, and doing something sexual literally right next to a bunch of other people in a family friendly area. she had less respect for other people than you did as a teenager and she very obviously is just on some kind of power trip
W the drag show reveal I really gasped and my hand went over my mouth, I love this irony. The fact that she said like “people are so interested in my personal life” as if they don’t use that (being a mother of boys or something) as the forefront of their campaign 🤗
Also if you want your personal life to stay personal, maybe don’t vape and grope your date in a public theatre??? I love this look for a 36 year old grandma, seems to fit.
Yeah, even when I was a teenage feral party animal, I always respected the theater. I'm in Colorado (not her district) and I have to say Adam Frisch (her opponent) is doing pretty well on fundraising, and I actually really like our Gov. and proud of the measures we took to protect human rights, so we aren't all that bad. She no longer owns a gun themed restaurant. It's been doing poorly for years, she gave a lot of people food poisoning and all of her ex employees are coming out with wild stories about what a nightmare she was. I believe the location is now a dispensary (in the town of, and I'm not kidding: Rifle). The Republicans are kind of suffering here: totally broke, they want Trump off the ballot and they also want to eliminate the Independent voters from their primary. I'm watching it all go down like a trashy soap opera. Yee haw.
Paul Reubens (aka: PeeWee Herman) was arrested and had his acting career demolished overnight for doing what Lauren Boebert was doing to her date, except Reubens was in an 18+ adult film theater, and he was alone. When are the police going to arrest Hoebert for public indecency?
What you said about us recognizing Christians by their actions really hit me. I was also a private Christian school kid, and for most of my life I was a devout fundamentalist Christian (current agnostic atheist). Something about evangelicalism in America seems to have changed drastically. Maybe it was always like this and I just didn't notice it, but nowadays it seems that evangelicalism is entirely politicized, and being a "true born-again Christian" isn't about demonstrating the love of God or witnessing about his mercy, rather it's about supporting the right political opinion and espousing the right political views. My father claims that you can recognize a believer by their "fruits", but then if you ask him if a democrat or a gay person or someone who believes in evolution or even just a Catholic is a real Christian, suddenly their "fruits" don't matter. In his eyes, Donald Trump is infallible, and I was taught growing up that only God could claim this quality. I had the audacity to mention in passing that Trump might be guilty of the things he's being charged with, and that he's probably sexually harassed some women, and his immediate response was "Oh, so they've really brainwashed you, huh?". I wasn't even saying that Trump was definitely guilty, just that there's a possibility if the evidence pans out. But the commands of Jesus aren't important in evangelicalism any more... "turn the other cheek" has become "decimate all who stand in your way".
It's time to admit that Christianity is Paulisim, and it only caught on after Jesus died because a self hating Roman who got crusified with one of the Apostles used Jesus teachings through his women disciplines to preech his version of Christianity. Constantine would not have legitimised the religion if Paul himself, no matter how self hating he was, wasn't a Roman. It wasn't even the 3 entities in one at first, only two.
It seems like I come from a very similar background as you, with the addition of my family being one that was not only evangelical but also in the political activist side of the spectrum. I remember my dad being away at the state and national capital for prayer events and other things often, he was a leader in the local "tea party", started up a conservative newspaper in town... You get the idea. So for me, this is nothing new. and while the majority of the other members of the church weren't necessariy as active back then, they were supportive and still had that same shared brain rot going on underneath. All it took was hitting the right activation point. I strongly believe that while, yes, something has changed, the source of the problem has always been there. That's not new.
I go to church with trump people,,well some are ,,you are right on in my opinion I personally can't stand these hypocritical so called political Christians
@d.o.m.i. Yes, this is absolutely what’s happening here- and has been happening here for a while. It’s money and power with a thin religious veneer, a.k.a. the prosperity gospel.
Although she wasn't a politician, I feel like the pinnacle of this right-wing hypocrisy is Ruby Franke and her business partner. Two women who had about 2 million subscribers to their channel which was about how to raise kids 'properly'. They were part of the Church of LDS, adored by local Republican politicians, 'pillars of the community', hailed as people who raise their children 'the right way', now they are facing charges of child abuse. Not because they smacked their kids once or whatever, but because Ruby Franke's son escaped her house and found someone to report her to. He was bound, literally, and covered in bruises and malnourished. Finally, after years of reports about her and Judges blocking search warrants of her house because she was a rich white conservative, her house was searched and it was discovered she had been consistently abusing ALL of her kids. Abusing kids isn't just something they do, it's part of their mantra, it's what they think is 'the right way' to raise kids, 2 million subscribers she had!!!!
I love how she wants special treatment on the one hand- “Do you know who I am?!!?” But on the other hand she doesn’t think she has to behave in a way that brings dignity to her professional role…?????? So you get to act trashy and we get to turn a blind eye because you’re special??? Wrf
I agree with your point about being a “former” Christian and feeling like even though I don’t necessarily identify with the beliefs of Christianity as a whole anymore, even when I was more into Christianity it offends me to see people who want to be so outspoken about being Christian while not acting like it.
Being a Christian means different things to different people it’s unsurprising to me that Lauren and people like her don’t believe what they’re like is antithetical to Christianity
like a very useful quote whose origins I cannot remember says: conservatives want society to be divided into those the law protects but does not bind, and those the law binds but does not protect. of course she will do exactly as she wants while campaigning against minorities doing the same or far less: there is no contradiction, because she is not in the group that she thinks the law is supposed to bind
I agree. I already struggle with being self conscious in public and especially in predominantly white spaces. But I can't even picture seeing someone doing all that in public, and I go to the theater often.
I have extreme social anxiety. I do all I can to keep people's eyes off of me. I would never dream of doing this sort of shit. Will never understand people who are comfortable behaving this way...
1) Respectfully, you look amazing here. Skincare, makeup, lighting, and genetics all on point. 👌 2) Also, thank you so much for this video. I live in a VERY VERY conservative area. Been fighting to keep myself grounded in reality surrounded by people who aren't. This was the snap back to reality i needed to remind me that the current "conservative" movement feels unreal because it is unreal. It's all a giant act, directed by opportunistic, lying hypocrites who would literally throw others under a bus for more power and money. *sigh*...a better world. I hope for a better world.
Her behavior is soooo embarrassing. I hope this scandal follows her career forever. She can keep her themed gimmick restaurant job, but this is sooo disqualifying for being a politician.
the musical is very much aware of that plotpoint and even Beetlejuice makes it clear that it's a "greencard thing" (aka he needs to marry Lydia to become alive again) and the show takes several shots at grown men being creepy at younger girls
12:35 Omg as someone whom'st went to Catholic school until 6th grade i feel so seen. Most embarrassing thing I learned after switching schools was that Jewish people exist (insert embarrassed Marge Simpson Meme). The way we were taught i assumed they all converted to Christianity. Like Jewish person were Pokemon and Jesus was the evolutionary stone to evolve them into Christians. The levels of ignorance I had was astounding...
Hi! As a Jewish person who, despite being raised in a small town that was mostly Catholic (in NY state), didn’t know much about Christianity until I was a teenager, your experience actually made me chuckle. In my teens we moved to a much larger southwest (TX) city that was also heavily Catholic with a really tiny Jewish population. For the first time I met people who had never encountered someone Jewish and it was…sometimes frankly bizarre. Like the time (no exaggeration, honest) a pair of sisters at a party I went to seriously wanted to know if I had been born with horns and/or a tail. And then one of them tossed a quarter in the deep end of the pool and waited expectantly for me to jump in after it (I don’t swim!). I had no idea what she was getting at until she clarified that she thought Jews couldn’t resist grabbing any available money. Living there was my earliest experiences with antisemitism, though by far not my last. Pretty mind blowing! (For context, my childhood and adolescence were in the 60s & 70s. I like to think things have improved some, but sometimes I dunno… 🤔)
I grew up in a fundy cult. I finally was able to leave at age 25. I had no idea that there were other christians out there. I thought it was us, and Catholics and that was it. I only knew about Catholics because of a friend's family that was Catholic. I would've had no clue if not for that. I didn't know gay people existed. I wouldn't have known black people existed if it weren't for my cousin who is black. Everyone else in the entire town was white christians. Transgender was not a word I knew until college when I was finally able to see the real world for the first time in my life at age 21. It took me 4 more years to be able to truly leave and escape that hell hole.
@@literaterose6731 This is mind- blowing and simultaneously heartbreaking to me. I grew up as a fundy in the most podunk backward place and yet I was still taught better than this. I’m so sorry people treated you this way.
@@chalkedlines8960 aw, thanks, that’s very kind. It’s funny, like I said, I knew almost nothing about Christianity until my early teens (pretty much my knowledge was that Christians had Christmas and we had all the other-meaning Jewish-holidays, lol… and I didn’t find Christmas all that interesting, so I didn’t think much about it!). But I never had any really negative ideas about Christianity, it just wasn’t discussed in my house. Discovering that some folks had weird and even repugnant ideas about Judaism was a bit of a shock, for sure.
Truthfully, I really struggle with even believing kids should be raised in religion or at the very least not with the "you're going to hell if you don't believe". You know what that does? It makes you afraid to question your religion. Leaving my religion was so hard purely because of this. I couldn't get the fear of going to hell out of my head. And I know I'm not the only one.

A couple of fun facts! Her restaurant closed down a good while ago because the owner refused to keep renting to her. I remember a few weeks before its shutdown, I had gone to dinner at the Thai place across the street and it was packed while there was a max of 2 people at her restaurant. I think it has been replaced by a local Mexican chain since. I think it's a little bit funnier knowing that her gun themed restaurant failed in Rifle, Colorado. She also does a whole lot of "rules for thee but not for me" stuff when it comes to a lot of her very vocal political beliefs. If you want to you can dig into a lot of the shit that she has been involved in. Some of the rumors she denies, but they are definitely true. I don't know if we will get full access to the divorce documents, but I know there are at least two news articles that involved 911 calls involving her family. At least one of those should have been relevant to her divorce. It's always kind of wild keeping up with her and I hope that literally anyone else can replace her. She won the recent election even with one of her republican competitors sending out one of those big info post cards that went over a bunch of the shit that she and her now ex-husband had done in the past. The first item was her (not ex at the time) husband exposing himself to minors at a bowling alley. Apparently the only thing that can harm the kids is those LGBTs.
She needs some Rocky Horror picture show. But what was she on? She couldn't stay still and was waving her arms in the air like she was in a nightclub. It was very bizarre.
Y’know, can’t believe I never thought about this before until this incident, but: are congressfolk drug tested? And, (especially considering the draconian stances many of them claim publicly), if not, should they be? (fwiw, I’m generally against drug testing, but I also kinda like the idea that anyone in a position of public power should have to adhere to whatever standards they declare the rest of the populace are required to 😒)
My hot take on this situation is: even if they were at a show that was exclusively for adults, their behavior would have still been inappropriate. I may be over 30, but I don't want to see you with your hand on someone's junk either. The fact that it was a family friendly show just adds that extra scoop of irony. (side note: I haven't seen the Beetlejuice musical, but I can't imagine it's the kind of thing that makes most people horny).
It's inappropriate but if they had kept it ACTUALLY discreet... i wouldn't judge tbch if there weren't ppl around. i've fooled around discreetly in technically public places. i CERTAINLY vape on the sly lololol
as someone who has been slowly realizing and deconstructing certain things from my (now realizing fundie LITE) christian upbringing, i appreciate channels like yours who help me see the dissonance they (“christian” “conservative” people who say one thing and claim a certain sect of values but act so opposite and people just take to their apology or ignore the shortcomings) have, i appreciate it. i may not be total democratic socialist or so outright progressive but i was inches away from being a conservative pick me girl, circa 2016-2018 especially. i could’ve easily become a qanon person and im dragging my butt (and slowly my partner as well…he’s more of a project on this but talking through it, he’s seeing it but just doesn’t want to come out and say it) out of it. so thanks!
I heard you have to say Lauren Boebert's name three times to banish her. That explains why she asked, "Do you know who I am?" three times. It all makes sense now!
That's what my partner and I say, yeah. It's usually in the context of having so much other life entanglement that you have to proactively make time to set aside the kids / yr business / chores / househunting / whatever tf and say "come hell or high water we are gonna go somewhere nice [or stay in and do fun stuff] then come home and get freaky tonight!"
I gotta say, as someone who follows your channel and knows that you are a goth who talks about bsdm a lot, I burst out laughing at the thumbnail of you looking at Lauren Boebert whilst dressed as an angel wearing a shocked expression! 🤣
I bet if there was no camera footage of her doing that activity she would railing at the theater for The terrible treatment she got that night night. So with evidence there is a different story.
Considering she got together with her now ex-husband when he flashed her at a bowling alley when she was sixteen (he was in his twenties), I'd say Boebert has a thing for public displays of a certain sort.
Did a lot of traveling in rural America. One thing I always found comical. Was churches in close proximity to strip clubs. After sinning, it's easy to repent!
That switch from religious to public school... the culture shock is so real. I was 10, and I thought my brain was going to explode. I can't imagine if I'd had 4 more years like you did.
as a fan of the Beetlejuice musical, I gotta point out that it is in NO WAY a "family-friendly" musical. There's a sex joke in pretty much every song, and the penultimate song is about Beetlejuice marrying Lydia, who is 16 or 17 in the musical. Calling it "family-friendly" is a small unnecessary lie. The story speaks for itself: lauren boebert engaged in an overtly sexual act in public. We don't need to say that it was a "family friendly" musical in order to make her look worse. She already looks terrible
I mean that's a relatively fair point but that doesn't negate the fact kids were ... definitely there? Kids aren't JUST small children in elementary, I'm sure there were also plenty of preteens and teenagers there who are still kids. Boebert engaged in an overtly sexual act in public *knowing there were children around. This is a semantics argument when the conclusion either way is that Boebert was still acting in a sexual and inappropriate manner with children around, which is exactly what she demonizes the queer community for every time she speaks.
I think that's kind of the point tho bc if that was a gay person getting caught in a scandal like that you can bet your booty that homophobes would suddenly claim Beetlejuice as a "family movie"
@@polygollie I didn't see any kids in the video but maybe I'm not looking close enough. I fully admit this is a nitpicky semantic criticism. It was the only criticism I had for the whole video, but it still needed to be pointed out because I think everyone in the world should be more intellectually honest. People who've never heard of the Beetlejuice musical might've been mislead by this video into believing Beetlejuice is MEANT for children. I feel like musical theatre in general is seen as a very childish medium, and this just serves to perpetuate that stereotype
I 100% agree with separation of states and religion. I dont want to be dictated by any form of religion. My beliefs and life is my life to live as i please. America is not a religious dictatorship country
I've been going to gay bars since I turned 19 I've never EVER seen a child at a drag show or a gay bar EVER, there are bouncers who keep certain people out I've seen mine have to deny men making homophobic comments entry, I imagine with the state of our country they do the same to parents with kids

To these types being a Christian is more of a cultural claim. It's simply a badge. It doesn't mean much. They have no intention of living up to the standards. Why? Because they don't have to. Who is going to reprimand them? It gives them the ability to decide who is Christian and who is not. Who is worthy and who is not. Who is American and who is not. That is the dangerous part.

It's weird that Beetlejuice is described as a "family friendly musical." I've seen the musical: lots of cursing and sex jokes. ...But also a lot of kids, because it's hard to avoid that the Tim Burton brand is now seen as kid-friendly.
Why was she watching Beetlejuice as a republican anyway? Isn't it both family friendly but also fairly queer? Like if a Disney movie for kids had the male main villain kiss a married man on the lips, she'd be protesting that so hard. What amazes me is that she passed her G.E.D... I wonder how well she did on it. (Getting her G.E.D. isn't as bad as it sounds. Considering a lot of High School grads cannot pass the G.E.D. Due in part to the difference in how the G.E.D. asks for information vs how High School teaches.) I went to a catholic school when I was young. I'm agnostic... it amazes me that people think you need religion for faith, rather then religion needing faith. (And Bobart is incorrect, most founding fathers rejected the idea of the church ruling as Government because of what it did in England and Europe.)

I agree in a car and in a park is private matter but in theater, it is a public area. It is just common sense.
Also isn't Lauren like, a grown ass woman? It's even less excusable when you think about that too
W the drag show reveal I really gasped and my hand went over my mouth, I love this irony.
That's not new.
of course there lying threw there teeth

The lack of and failure to enforce child labor laws is proof.
Wow. Thank you for the info, this is crazy!

That’s what all extreme conservatives want. They just want to be bullies without the consequences.
I agree with your point about being a “former” Christian and feeling like even though I don’t necessarily identify with the beliefs of Christianity as a whole anymore, even when I was more into Christianity it offends me to see people who want to be so outspoken about being Christian while not acting like it.
Jesus would literally be killed today if he came back. He’s still way too radical. Way too loving.

I thought Jewish people and black people were one and the same for an embarrassingly long time.

Boebert frustrates me so much. I'm baffled how anyone can support her.
as a fan of the Beetlejuice musical, I gotta point out that it is in NO WAY a "family-friendly" musical.

THIS! THIS RIGHT HERE! THIS is why I say the conservative movement reminds me of Father from the movie Equilibrium.
They will have people living in a society where even FEELING EMOTIONS is illegal. Only to see the office of Father, the Leader of Librium, in violation of EVERY law that Librium upholds.
My first video and I had to subscribe! This is the first I am hearing of this. Last I paid attention to the trainwreck that is beobert it was when her child tried to call the police for help and the call was leaked. Between her, MTG, and Trump I am embarrassed to be an American some days.
And this is the very same woman who is always on some "family value" issues, who is the mother of kids that may very well be the subject of tauntings at school and is at present in a relationship that is now claiming that her "fondling" of "someone else" was private matter! Private matters are supposed to be done IN PRIVATE! CONGRESSWOMAN! Where is the example, Congresswoman! WHERE!
She was just checking out her date's “gun”!
I love that the most shocking thing about the Beetlejuice thing is that she was on a date with a Democrat
It’s like that episode of South Park where Randy discovers that going to go see musicals subliminally convinces women to give men certain services lol
When a grown man exposes himself to girls in a bowling alley might that be considered grooming?
No, people are over using this word and watering down the meaning, is it predatory and inappropriate? Yes! But it is not grooming
@@beetlegeuse1961THANK YOU!!!!!! i can't stand when people misuse words like this.
I wonder if her base will care about her actions. I sadly doubt it because I bet most of them wish they could behave this way to. Well allot of them do
The drive in was still more private anyways since youre in your own vehicle
Has she even been charged for this, any other person would've been
I just came across your channel. Gosh, you are so refreshing and entertaining, thank you so much for what you do. I look forward to enjoying more of your channel. Best wishes from Belgium. 🍀
One can only wonder what would happen 20 years ago. You know, times before infra-red...
What amazes me is that she passed her G.E.D... I wonder how well she did on it.
(Getting her G.E.D. isn't as bad as it sounds. Considering a lot of High School grads cannot pass the G.E.D. Due in part to the difference in how the G.E.D. asks for information vs how High School teaches.)
I went to a catholic school when I was young. I'm agnostic... it amazes me that people think you need religion for faith, rather then religion needing faith. (And Bobart is incorrect, most founding fathers rejected the idea of the church ruling as Government because of what it did in England and Europe.)
I got family in Pueblo, Colorado which is within Boebert's district and they're not too impressed with her.
Church pastors who have connection to the politics do things that will make Jesus angry
I LOATHE that Boebert represents my state. I hope that her district votes her out next election. We got close to ousting her in the last one. I've been to the Temple Buel Theatre a million times, and those signs are everywhere.
These MAGA extremist Republicans are the worst, and I hope she gets her just deserts.
BTW, you make a very fetching angel.
😇
I would love a video in this format discussing Vivek
*sigh
I hate that every time I see that guy's name I briefly confuse him with Zižek.
Im not from the US so I don't know all the names of politic figures unless it gets all over the media, so I was really confused because I could only think of Vivek from Morrowind 😭
And she calls us groomers
We have better hygiene.
@@edvh88 I'm being serious.
