They need to stop dishing TV money out to the same teams every week , theres some good games in the lower leauges that get overlooked , who wanted to watch man utd v palace midweek ,
Club democracy would be a good shout in my opinion. Of course money will have to come from somewhere, but with owners who don't seem to care about the sustainability, history and tradition of the club itself and if/when things go south - I just cannot see the point with "sugardaddys" pulling the plug left right and centre as has become very much of a common theme. The list of clubs is sadly getting longer and longer.
As a Stockport County fan it makes me feel sad seeing what's happening to Scunny. We also came to the absolute brink ourselves and have suffered for a long time until recently that is, of which we are extremely lucky. I hope the same happens for Scunny. Great club, great set of fans. It's a damn shame and I hope you pull yourselves out of it.
Good video Makes me so sad though. I am a football supporter; my support for Carlisle united has helped get me through life at times. Real clubs In real places With real people Mean a lot I have so many memories of Scunny Thanks for documenting All the best Scunthorpe United
Thank you for capturing the moment at 3:50. One of my favourite old photos is me with Scunny Bunny, when I was a young child. It might have been my last chance today to re-create that picture. It was a tough day, but I feel better for having being there. Being around fellow supporters. You've captured some of them on here - good people, who'll do anything for their club. There's a chance for Swann to redeem himself, now. If we only have a short time left as a club, he could let us play the final few home games at Glanford Park. We'd hopefully be able to pay him some rent. Rather than it standing empty. The club deserves to finish its life where it belongs. At home. Not in someone else's stadium in another county.
As an Orient I know what the fans are feeling like in Scunthorpe atm and from a personal point of view the EFL committee or whatever they are called is not fit to run the league this happens far too often these days, good luck to the Owls and thank you for the link.
Times like this i keep thinking football gets billions via the Premier league,..its a pyramid of leagues, not just one league...help the smaller clubs out
I echo this. I said basically everything you've just typed. My club (liverpool) we're talking about a goal being offside ans how it's been robbed. Lot of fans are losing their clubs😢. Bury, Macclesfield, rusden and diamonds. Proper feel for the irons.
Good on you bud! I know it’s tough times for your lot in not so different circumstances. It’s sad to see a team like Scunthorpe who I remember playing against in the championship not so long ago. As for you guys, it feels like such a long time ago since the greatest playoff comeback of all time where the atmosphere was ecstatic. No club especially lower down in the football pyramid should have to go through these kind of troubles!
@@aroundthegrounds1yes mate! No matter how bad Marcus Evans was as an owner at Ipswich, I’m so glad we never sank this low cos it was looking that way before he sold our club. Like one of the guys said, the big 6 clubs should do their best to support lower league clubs who are struggling instead of selfishly chucking money at players who don’t deserve to be paid over 500k a week which damages their reputation. We stand with Scunthorpe and hope things work out well for Wednesday eventually!
Great video that, liked and subscribed. Sad to see old traditional football clubs going under like this, while premiership teams throw money around like it’s nothing. Local football is more and always will be!!

Sad times for Scunny Lee, and you brought the situation over brilliantly. There must be players out there, now plying their trade in the prem and earning millions, who come from the local area, and grew up watching their boyhood team, who could either buy out these teams, or at least help out. They probably wont mate. They need 4 houses, ten cars and their boats, but forget quickly where they came from. Hope Scunny, Southend and all these clubs(community) find decent people to get them back on track. Scunny weren't doing bad until yesterday, and could still return to the National league this season. I dont know the situation of Scunny eg. If they are full time pros, so therefore relying on their salaries to exist. Would and hope that they have other proffesions, jobs otherwise times will be hard. Mortgages, family must be financed. Unfortunately until the football association do something with their billions, there will be other clubs hitting very hard times. Sad state of affairs, and one reason why i no longer watch premier league or Champions League any more
