Definitely enjoy your videos. You don’t cut corners something you never do in electronics. You’re the kind of technician I would trust working on my electronics. Keep the great work up
Great Job! I would love to send my ADCOM GFA-555 to be checked out. It's Working but needs to be checked due to age. But I don't know where you are located and it's heavy! Thank you so much for your great video's, your awesome, keep them coming!
Hello, I found your channel on UA-cam and subscribed right away. I really enjoyed the videos I saw. I have a Marantz NR1403 slim line receiver, that makes clicking noises and the audio will cut out, but the subwoofer continues to play. Now the front speakers don't come on at all. Its the first nice stereo unit I bought and I'm sad it is not working. I really love the way it sounds. A current replacement costs about $700 and with 2 little girls and losing my job during covid-19, I can't afford to replace it. Would you be interested in taking this project on? Thank you! Sincerely, Ramon Delgado
Duality, I got one of these units, when I plug it into the wall socket, unit power on. if I press the power on/off button nothing happens. Do you have any Ideal what might be the problem. I checked the power button it's good. I don't have the remoted control. Thanks
having carver cm1090 and I have small problem when using speaker zone B only , the right channel treble is very less compared to left - speaker zone a sounds perfect what could be the problem
You could use 2sc5200 and 2sa1943 (these are direct replacement) TTC5200 and TTA1943(these are improved design of the former type mentioned above) Toshiba made. Great replacement are MJL21194 and MJL21194 ONSemi.
Hi, does anyone here know if Nick is alright? I have been trying to get in touch with him regarding a NAD 1155 I sent to him last year. He hasn't posted anything here recently and hasn't responded to my latest emails.
Hmmm. With comments like these, not sure if I would be keen to jump out of my socks and pump out a new video... Probably an inappropriate comment, but I'll turn 61 in April, and I could not give a wit. Hope you're just busy with life. It happens. I do have a question re your earlier vids. Once you get rid of the old black crusty glue under the big filter caps, would you want to use hot glue, or nothing at all? (I've read that hot glue is easily removed with IPA). Not sure how it holds up over time. Guess if I wasn't so lazy I could Google it, but I'd much prefer to have a legend answer it. What a thrill... Cheers! 😎🤟😸
Carver is most shitty engineered amplifier , is not worth it , you couldn't find why it blow up ! did you ? I would never connect my 30000$ B&W to this amplifier .
Just found your channel. Wish you were still making vids. I like your process

Nice work! Curious what transistors you used for the 2SA1302/2SC3281.
Good question. Were you able to find anything out re those transistor equivalent/replacements? Cheers!

@@kikopasinecki5110 thank you very much! Did you mean to write MJL21193 and MJL21194?
I have used the 2SC5200 and 2SA1943 with great results.
I like your videos. Two of my Carver PM-350 blow fuses. How can I contact you?

Never put up with a carbonised board. The board is now conductive and can cause problems especially in high voltage output stages
In future.
