Mumbai Suburban Timelapse Series | CSMT To Kalyan Timelapse |

Welcome to my 4th video of Mumbai Suburban Timelapse series where we will be covering various zones of Mumbai's Central & Western railway divisions. Today we will be covering Central Railways's major section from Chhatrapti Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Kalyan Junction which consists of 24 stations, a section of quadraple track. Two corridors i.e. one till Kalyan and later bifurcating into 2 lines- one towards "Kasara" & another towards "Khopoli". The major carsheds which ply on this section are "Kalva" & "Kurla" carsheds. 2 types of services run on this section viz. slow & fast where slow local halts at all stations & fast local halting at major stations such as Byculla, Dadar, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund. Thane, Diva Junction, Dombivli & Kalyan Junction. It consists a fleet of Siemens as well as Bombardier EMUs. Trains usually start from and terminate at important stations. Electrification was completed on 3rd February 1925, 100 years back and later this 1.5kv DC was converted to 25kv AC on 5th May 2013.
