I do the same thing with my wooden eggs with crackling them but do in different colors I have done burgundy and cream and blue and tan. Crackled ones look nice but the cinnamon cover ones look a little to blotchy

Of course. You rip up old paper into strips, then you put it in a blender. Add water to the top. Make sure the paper is loose. Grind up the paper in the blender. Then spread it out on a screen until it’s really flat. Let it dry and peel it off.
