Hiya the beaches in Chorrillos are of sand and have cool shore breaker waves ideal for body surfing, it takes 20 minutes walking from “Makaha” in Miraflores

Yeah true you cross the “vía expresa” freeway into Surquillo and prices drop 50% compared to Miraflores, but it’s a bit more “edgy” like you say.
