    It's funny because recently during the Palestine media, (Allah protect all those poor people and grant them all the stregnth) I saw the name Ward a lot. Also el-Ward appeared as the first expression on this video.. I am British and my surname is Ward ❤ I didn't know Ward was an Arabic word with meaning until I saw it mentioned on the media not long ago 🙈

    Congrats on your videos; they are very helpful and well-taught. One question: in Egyptian Arabic, are there some words from Ancient Middle Egyptian or Coptic? For instance, the word for water in Ancient Egyptian is similar to that in Egyptian Arabic(mw, coptic:.mou) Are there more examples like this?
    Thx a lot!

    I was expecting you talk about "maaleish" which many people use it in their daily dialogues. I wanted to know now when we can use it and what does is mean?
    And also I wanted to know why Egyptians put "SH" at the end of some of their verbs? And what is the effect of "sh" on the verbs or what does it mean?
    I hope you can see my comment and answer my questions. Thank you so much sir and "Allah ykhalleek"😅🎉❤

    • @Linguamid
      @Linguamid  6 місяців тому +1

      Sure with pleasure
      Maalesh means 'never mind'
      The 'sh' at the end of the verb is for the negation
      For example:
      He writes : howwa beyekteb
      He doesn't write: howwa ma beyektebsh
      In the previous example, the negation is with the article "ma" + "sh" at the end of the verb

    How do you say I can't tolerate this???

    • @Linguamid

    Hi. Why do you put numbers in the words?

    • @Linguamid
      @Linguamid  3 місяці тому

      the numbers indicate phonetics of some Arabic letters that have no equivalent in English (3 means letter ayn, 7 means letter haa, and so on)
