I'll add a honorable mention, Mousse, surprisingly deadly and survivable, but with one drawback, you feel like utter trash due to her deployment lines.
Yeah, Mousse was the only reliable source of debuffing enemy ATK until Shamare came out (Pramanix slowed enemy ASPD, but tough enemies could still one-shot you). Doktahs who had to deal with Butchers, Gas Masks and Rockbreakers in CC#Beta, CC#0 and CC#1, are probably alive today because of Mousse. She's still useful today to debuff the Junkmen in Anni 7 so they don't kill the devices as quickly.
Mousse still super viable, comparing a an expensive E2 5 star to a cheap e2 4 star is not even funny. yeah you don't even have to e2 mousse compared to those you guys mentioned
I think you missed to explain why Beanstalk is powerful. Her traits reads, 'Attack increased by 150% when she attack an enemy blocked by her crab'. What does it mean? It is not surprising to see 1K damage popping up. From Beanstalk herself. That is a lot of damage :)
@@Anothersleeper you wouldn't use beanstalk as a dps So when any enemy with more than 200 def pops up she's being replaced for an actual dps She's more of a stalling op if anything
Its been a while since your last Arknights content. And damn, appreciating these 4stars is amazing. And i raised almost all of the ops mentioned here already, such a great vid ^^
For operators that matter with Sussurros talent, Courier is THE prime target for that effect, as his defense goes up to near defender levels with his talent and skills, with the only downside being that he can only block 2 compared to a full defender, but as a vanguard with super low cost and Sussurro backing him up he can easily tank most content. Utages first skill, you glossed over, can also be incredibly important. It can not just save her from dying, but also makes her managing solo 'duel' lanes possible, as she can leak enemies on command. It is not that the skill is super strong, but the skills 0 block makes some tactics possible in the first place. Btw, Gravel has the highest single phys hit effective HP in the game with her second skill at M3, the only one that trumps her is Surtr, but that means Surtrs S3 is active which makes her lose HP per second (Gravel 6355, Surtr 8330 and just for comparison Cuora has 3870, effective phys hp means the survivability of massive physical hits, aka armor + HP).
Yeah, selective leak is a useful tactical option, with Myrtle, Utage, Tequila, Flint (for heavy enemies) etc. It can be used to store enemies for Eunectes to charge SP with, and with NTR Knight in the future, her S3 needs block to deal True Damage, but Blazing Sun won't block an enemy that's already being blocked, unless they 'hand it over'.
Beanstalk is probably my favourite vanguard operator currently. The fact that she offers fire support and a respawning crab is brillant, because i won't be sacrificing/retreating her in order to make way for a guard or defender operator, as well the metal crabs letting do some stalling, massive DPS, and or shield other ranged operators (deploy beanstalk whenever, then the ranged operator that would normally come under fire. Then place down that crab near to that operator, and now they are effectively immortal).
A little disappointed to not see Pinecone on this list but I kind of understand. As a boomstick sniper she’s definitely a lot more niche than the anti-air or AOE snipers but BOY does she fill that niche WELL, easily outperforming her higher-rarity counterparts. Mostly because of her first skill, basically an on-demand instant nuke that can store three charges. Just watch pretty much anything by Dr. Silvergun, Pinecone has insane damage output if you know how to utilize her.
I wanna make a few corrections. Arene skill 1 does not hit 2 targets, it hits 1 target twice. Click, (I may have miss heard this, "The drone only becomes live when her second skill is active.") The drone attacks along side her even when the skills are off. Jaye talent, there are only four enemies I can think of that are classified as "infected enemies", Originium Slugs, Infected Dogs, Pincerbeast, and Spiders. No, Reunion and some Sarkaz are (somehow) not classified as infected.
I noticed one other thing, Podenco's skill 2 doesn't actually increase arts damage dealt by your operators, it deals a percentage of Podenco's attack as damage every second while it's active and an enemy is within it's effect range.

I first raised Arene because I like him and even got his skin, then E2 him and have him on Drone Duty often. Now I just need a bunch more copies of him TwT
About Myrtle, I don't think she's broken, I think she's so busted it's actually bad design. She was the operator that introduced flag bearer vanguards, before her we only had the classic skill DP vanguards and on-kill DP vanguards, but since she was introuduced she instantly became THE go to vanguard for all situations, and there's a good reason why. Why would I need block 2 vanguards that need assistance to resist even slightly tough enemies or try to rely on block 1 vanguards that have to kill their targets to generate DP AND kill them fast enough to prevent leaking... When I can just deploy an AFK DP printing machine and skip the early stage of the map all together? Every sub-class in the game has strengths and weaknesses. "Skill vanguards" have average combat abilites but you can build your defence around them they're durable enough to stay on the battlefield for a good period. "On-kill vanguards" are more aggressive but they're more specialized towards eliminating enemies early on and beng redeployed afterwards to help take down threats. "Flag bearer vanguards" have shit combat abilities, weak attack, block 1 by default and don't block at all when using their skills, but the weak combat capability isn't nearly enough to compensate for the absurd DP generation and block 0 can even be an advantage. Balance is important, and flag brearer vanguards aren't balanced, their ability to accelerate your game plan completely eclipses the other 2 archetypes in the majority of situations to a point where they aren't even needed, I take an issue with this. Be it Myrtle, Elysium or even the future 6* incoming, I think their S1s should be straight up nerfed, their class is supposed to be supportive, and their S2s do a great job at that, especially Elysium's S2 which is great for stalling/nuking enemies and enabling sniper units which are my favourite class in the game. These skills also generate DP, but a slower pace and make the flag bearers actually relevant on the battlefield, which is another flaw of the 1st skills. When you use these, your flag bearers practically don't exist on the battlefield their gameplay is really non-interactive and it's why I call them AFK DP printing machines. This idea of interative gameplay is also why I tend to dislike the Eyjas, the SAs, the Surtrs etc, because I like building squads that actually work together, not just dropping my good ol' delete button and brain fart while it effortlessly clears the stage for me.
Gummy, particuarly with module/Phil, can be just as good as Quora as a staller, and it just comes down to her skill 1, every 3~ attack get skipped for a heal putting her on a similar level to Quora, and her self heal makes up for her relatively low defense. Plus when she attacks, she has a chance of stunning enemies, so while Quora CAN be better Gummy is my go to true staller.
On one of the future operator review done by 777ucky, he considered Arene as a better lappland due how precious the word "control" is. Thanks for covering this mephisto wannabe, i rarely see people making discussions about it.
beanstalk is really good at stalling early strong and big enemy, or those fast running sarkaz i realize this while playing IS and got a free beanstalk just deploy the crab where the big enemy would be and slowly chip their health with her crab s2 is the go to since you can spawn at most 2 other crab that can also block the same enemy
I will die on the hill of my love for Perfumer - 100hp/s global heal (that works on unhealables like MUDROCK!) is seriously broken. Feed her SP and watch your team become borderline immortal. Pair her with Warfarin for global godmode goofiness.
I assumed Myrtle is in top-3, but saying that she generate more DP than Elysium? Yeah, Myrtle give you DP more often, but Elysium actually give you more DP/sec anyway. Ofc I can be wrong with my math, so I posted it below for those who's interested. Without Bagpipe: Myrtle (on deployment): 9 seconds until skill finish charging then 8 second of skill. This give you 14 DP. So the first activation giving you 14/17=0.8235 DP/sec Elysium (on deployment): 11 seconds until skill finish charging then 8 second of skill. This give you 18 DP. So the first activation giving you 18/19=0.9473 DP/sec Myrtle (after that): Charge time of 22 seconds. So it's have 14/30=0.4666 DP/sec Elysium (after that): Charge time of 26 seconds It's have 18/34=0.5294 DP/sec With Bagpipe pot 5: Myrtle: 14/9 = 1.5555 DP/sec Elysium: 18/11 = 1.6363 DP/sec
Myrtle S1 will get you to 20 DP (Thorns) about 1.25s faster than Elysium. Elysium S1 will get you to 36 DP (Mudrock) 3s faster than Myrtle. Myrtle S1 will get you to 56 DP (Thorns + Mudrock) 4s faster than Elysium. After that, however, Elysium pulls ahead and stays ahead (both M+E at max Pot and Bagpipe P5). The thing is, Elysium S2 is such a good skill that you might be better off bringing Myrtle S1 + Elysium S2 anyway, especially for buff comps.
Yeap. Myrtle is probably better for early game for earlier skill activation and lower cost, but on the long run Elysium will generate more DP. I'd say Elysium is probably the operator to go for longer maps or maps where you need constant DP generation like Annihilation
ah very interesting video on the 4 star of arknights, why they lack the bst and power of the 5-6 stars. Hypergryth somehow make some 4 star viable for 2.5 years
Jaye's talent of extra damage to "infected" enemies does NOT apply to as many enemy types as you might think. It does NOT include every reunion operator or anything like that. You'll need to look up exactly what enemies the game counts as "infected type enemies", cuz it's not straightforward

Utage is amazing. I have her maxed out and she is definitely my waifu. I always use her on CC events, even if Utage is not that optimal.
Personally Perfumer works better for my team loadouts than Sussuro, her passive HP regen talent is hilariously good.
Well done, very detailed commentary.
"Spores" You mean Anthrax, cause we all know podenco low-key commits warcrimes.
bit of a nitpick, click's drone is always active, S2 just allows the drone to keep chasing the attacked enemy outside click's range
Long time no see
For liking both Utage and Lappland as much as I do, I'mma subbed for being the same man of culture.
I think u forgot to mention about pinecone, for a 4* shes damn good
Pinecone + Liskarm = a Battery for your Battery.
Surprised by there's no Pinecone here, She's great even greater than *5 version of her archetype
After a year has passed. This list is still relatable.
>Sussuros's talent
>Gravel's talent
>Mountain
Pog~
Have to agree with myrtle being no.1
Even tho I have elysium I use myrtle more than him.
Under the right circumstances, Click can actually out-DPS Eyjafjalla
I like the pronunciation of "podenco"
Late, but Podenco doesn’t increase arts damage taken, she does Arts damage over time based on her ATK stat. Fragility vs DoT.
Beanstalk is life saver when it comes to fighting a swarm : D
On one of the future operator review done by 777ucky, he considered Arene as a better lappland due how precious the word "control" is.
Thanks for covering this mephisto wannabe, i rarely see people making discussions about it.
beanstalk is really good at stalling early strong and big enemy, or those fast running sarkaz
i realize this while playing IS and got a free beanstalk
just deploy the crab where the big enemy would be and slowly chip their health with her crab
s2 is the go to since you can spawn at most 2 other crab that can also block the same enemy
Thank you for the vid~
I will die on the hill of my love for Perfumer - 100hp/s global heal (that works on unhealables like MUDROCK!) is seriously broken. Feed her SP and watch your team become borderline immortal. Pair her with Warfarin for global godmode goofiness.
I assumed Myrtle is in top-3, but saying that she generate more DP than Elysium? Yeah, Myrtle give you DP more often, but Elysium actually give you more DP/sec anyway. Ofc I can be wrong with my math, so I posted it below for those who's interested.
Without Bagpipe:
Myrtle (on deployment): 9 seconds until skill finish charging then 8 second of skill. This give you 14 DP. So the first activation giving you 14/17=0.8235 DP/sec
Elysium (on deployment): 11 seconds until skill finish charging then 8 second of skill. This give you 18 DP. So the first activation giving you 18/19=0.9473 DP/sec
Myrtle (after that): Charge time of 22 seconds. So it's have 14/30=0.4666 DP/sec
Elysium (after that): Charge time of 26 seconds It's have 18/34=0.5294 DP/sec
With Bagpipe pot 5:
Myrtle: 14/9 = 1.5555 DP/sec
Elysium: 18/11 = 1.6363 DP/sec
You'll need to look up exactly what enemies the game counts as "infected type enemies", cuz it's not straightforward
algorithm got u a sub fella
the myrtle part tho XD
only facts
very informative! ty!!
haven't touched the game in about a year or so and i have no idea who half of these ops are
still enjoyed the vid tho
I think you forgot to update Jaye's max stats at E2 like you did with the other operators
and here I am using myrtle S2 for squads that cannot use extra healers
If myrtle isn’t number 1 I’ll riot
Great video! Thanks for the help, it was amazing but i have one little observation.
Sussurro is pronounced with the accent on the second "u" and you need to say clearly both of the "rr", i'm just being a perfectionist right here, but i know this because her name is a word in my country: Sussurro means "whisper" in italian. Let alone this, great video, you have a new follower 👍
I believe in Pinecone Supremacy
>Top 10 List
>Doesn't have Cutter/Pinecone
my operator squad right now is sussuro, podenco, eyjafjalla, myrtle, aciddrop, beagle, hibiscus, texas... i hope i won't get arrested
im a simple woman,
i see Jaye, i click
SEEEGSSS
Which one I should build? Cuora or Matterhorn? I dont have 5 or 6 star defender right now..
Myrtle is truly the best, I've already memorized here lines from the sheer amount of times I use her (which is everytime)
I am so glad I have most of these characters but I am only lvl 27 yay!
I've just found your video and I like your content, I'm kinda stuck right now in Arknights.
I'm at level 69, and what should I do for next? Maximize the 6* operator, clearing the main story, or others?
Thank You, I'm kinda lost at this point
heey the game is a sandbox, play however you like! set your own goals and try diff strats to hit em. prepping for future CC and clearing main story are the most common goals if you need some direction
ait time to build these for integrated strats
I just use Myrtle for healing like a power up for my Texas lol
Where the f is Pinecone in this tier list
beanstalk is vanguard for big brain doctah, and podenco S1 is very verrrry usefull for rare case CC / challange with medic get banned to deploy. and good news the new flag bearer 6* is bad than myrtle or elisium.
Having Jessica will solve your debt problem. Just saying
Welp, THRM-X is a self improving AI after all.
What if you wanted to utage dps, but rng said: Have a free texas the omertosium
I was wondering if I was the only person who liked Beanstalk. I usually use her first ability to churn out DP early on. The crab regenerating also makes it good for absorbing a surprisingly large amount of damage without any consequences.
I simped hard for beanstalk so hard i m6 her a few months after getting her
What Podenco Increase arts damage? =BUFF?
I think this is mistake in video. Do correct me if I am wrong but in-game it says "And receive 60% arts damage per second."
"she can print DP faster than a government can print money in a financial crisis"
Press X to doubt
I'd say they're actually on par with each other
22:48 Does anyone know that song?
I am new to the game and I want to get my hands on Myrtle so bad. She's just too cute and powerful.
Try to get her in recruitment
Healing+vanguard and set the time to 07 :40
@@mukplayz7413 I recently learned about tags as well, but why should the timer be 7:40 only? Wouldn't 9 hrs be better?
@@Eduard-up9ir you don't actually need to max it out, 7:40 is enough to remove 2* on the tags
I just wanna ask
if u use jaye and have sussuro in squad
Can jaye heal more with his 2nd skill?
The ost playing in utage, whats its name?
