Nhlanhla is right about how Kings were selected. The Princes from Indlu Nkulu were groomed from an early age, and their behaviour monitored. Whoever showed the best leadership skills (willingness to serve & bravery on the battle field) would be selected to succeed, irrespective of birth order. The story of the Mpondomise Kingship (how Prince Dosini was turfed aside for Prince Cirha (the son of a Mthwakhazi woman) gives insight on just how much a Prince was expected to be of upstanding character.

Nhlanhla is mentioning a lot of things here trying to awaken black South Africans for instance the issue of drugs in townships and now even in our villages but some of you see it fit to criticize, pull down and pour water on the guy. Doesn't it bother us all that drugs are everywhere? Doesn't it bother us that illegal foreigners do as they please in this lawless country? Doesn't it bother us that old people in Parliament aren't doing anything to better the country but solely benefit and enrich themselves even forgetting about where they come from? Indeed we are weak if we can just chill and get by as if nothing is happening worst of all most men are bashing Nhlanhla, waiting on his downfall while ningenzinto nina nikhamisile nimkhomba qha nizintloni marn!

"black people are accommodative".....Truth be told, this is how we were conquered. Black people are the most honest race of people, we are not afraid or ashamed to say what we think or feel no matter who thinks what about our opinions. The issue is that we do not have ''ulterior motives" and are not as conniving as others are because we have what we refer to as Botho in my language or Ubuntu in Nguni languages, which basically means humanity, or being a human being, regardless of what your race or ethnicity is. This type of behaviour only comes from living a life of privilege where we did not want for anything, resources were in abundance back then (even now) hence there was no need to build ships to leave and find better prospects. It is sad to see today that cultural leaders i.e from Bapedi, Batswana, Basotho, Khoi-San and Zulu nations are not standing up to protect their nations, languages, and cultural beliefs not only in the villages but in townships and cities as well. The government of today has shown us that they do not care about the masses but that they care only about their pockets and immediate families. It is time we take matters into our own hands and do whatever we can to improve our own people's (Black, coloured, indian etc...particularly black) lives. This can only be done through donating (money or time and labour) to projects that aim to improve our own hometowns. It was so sad to see Lux's post on what the Ndofaya Zone 5 stadium is now, particularly because i spent my primary school life walking there from zone 9 to participate in athletics, soccer etc. Lux I'm glad you have distnced yourself from the Dudula movement because it has taken a turn for the worst especially for a country in which these other countries had a lot to do with providing shelter for the struggle heroes we sing about today. It is also sad that "MaCom Tsotsi" are not recognized when they were the people who actually stayed in the country and actually fought. Commanders Morning!!! This is not wokeness its real ISH! Put your money where your mouth is and do something worthwhile.
