I find it appalling that Samsung, T-mobile and ultimately Google are be able to dictate what software we use on our devices. This is why I have never purchased any of the iPhone products. We are renters of our own objects, there by the grace of the true owner." I am having a hard time getting over the fact that products we pay for can be rendered useless by the seller after we own them... Imagine a UA-cam portal that was a nonprofit giving the bulk of the revenue to the content creators? Just to add, if magisk manager does not show up, try rebooting the device...I installed from apk and it said no magisk was installed, rebooted and all is good
I successfully got pass after Odin start but unable to enter twrp..now when I go into recovery mode I see a dos type screen with option to flash from USB...can I still root my note 9? Please advise
What software would you use to backup the data? And it doesn't erase data on the sd card right?
*_Samsung Smart Switch Mobile_*
*_Myquel Grant Acaylar Hernando_* Can you then just restore everything to it after you are done with rooting?

Hey Max @Max Lee !!!!
How unroot to update firmware and reroot keeping your files?
I just had all my data wiped by trying it. There was a problem with the battery charging till 70% and I read that the official update has a fix, it worked indeed, but I would like to know for the future so I don't lose my files, backup is an option for sure but is possible a root on/off sort of procedure....
Cheers
"Magisk is not installed." This video is outdated(where's the label?).
Anyone able to install Magisk? It was not installed with root process but MAX I downloaded your Magisk apk but couldn't make it work? Any solution?
just install the official TWRP and the latest Magisk version, follow his steps but with the new files instead of his.
this works all the way up to android 10

Wth max .you said you not buying the note 9.smh
Yes price was high but I got it for just 850.
He did it for his viewers, whaddya expect?
I agree the price is high, I managed to get one exynos for $725 on eBay with that 15% promo that goes around once in a while. pretty excited!
@@BIGMACMCDONALDLEE 850 should be the normal retail price not 1200
Shit my note 9 costed me $1,000 (Smdh)I'm Not Leasing No Phone
I've always ran rooted devices, and I got the note 9 now and I don't think I will root it, i want Samsung pay and NFC along with all features working.. only thing I will 100% miss is ad blockers and free hotspot working. I can't really think of anything I would miss not rooting my note 9 since android so flexible now.. I will miss custom roms but not a whole lot..
I can still play with my rooted note4
One question. Will this still work in 2020? And does it matter if I have Android 8.1 or 9 or 10?
i did all steps step by step in the end magsik not installed :(
All went well until it came to OEM unlock. I have no OEM unlock Hmm!!! I am in Delv mode, the 5 taps worked but that where it stops. Any ideas?
Galaxy S9 and up have there Boot loaders locked locked by the carrier so they can't be rooted. Only international version of the phone can be rooted. International unlocked phones are phones that come straight from the Factory and not from a carrier meaning you can put any Sim card in your phone and it works
when i use odin it doesnt work it just says it completed without doing anything i downloaded all the things under the video and followed step by step i for some reason cant get past the first part since odin isnt working. i also deleted everything and started over but same thing keeps happening..
Does it work fine on T-Mobile. Does it support band 71
Steps to enable Samsung heath on rooted phone,
1) Download an app from the Play Store called "BuildProp Editor".
2) Search for "ro.config.tima".
3) Click on it and change the "1" to a "O".
Is there any way to Root the USA version of the Note 9 in 2021? I got one on Ebay and want to root it. Thanks!
So... You got the Note 9... I was right. Lol
Is there a preferred rom for after root's complete?
Okay, so this won't work for 97% of note 9 users then. I've heard theres a way to unlock the boot loader but it factory resets the phone
My device sm-n9600 gets hung up at the N9-S9_Root_for_OEM_issue_device install ( step 15 of your guide) I'm using the proper version of twrp recovery . AROMA graphical installer isnt doing anything on my device. please help
Hey bro, i have a question.. if i root my Note 9.0 (im on 9.0) can i downgrade to oreo with the samsung official rom? Thanks! :)
hey max if you screw it up, do you have to wait another 7 days or is that just for older models, thanks
i have a note 10+5G N976V tmobile just released their n976u. since tmoble now has the note 10+5G, can my verizon phone be flashed to the tmobile network?
Amid wrong or you forgot to mention that there's big problem after rebooting device
I think you already know about that red little nasty words ( only official.... )
Could you please explain how to deal with it
I have followed the steps in the video and tried repeating it multiple times however when i do, there is no network connection and it says no sim card. How can i fix this?
how did u fix
Awesome work you came through as you always do ✌️in.
did you get it working on pie ?
is there an update for a samsung s9 + root... been waiting for a new magisk tutorial :(
Did you root yours yet? Mine is SM-G965U1 s9 + and I'm still trying
Question on a sprint note 9 if I get it unlocked for all carriers and international can I root it with this method?
I followed the instructions above for N9600 oem unlocked but when installing N9_S9_Root_for_oem on TWRP the installation is stuck at "starting AROMA Installer version.." I copied the file on microsd and installed from microsd. I can't copy the zip file to flash as MTP installation fails.
Just try again make sure you don't hit the back button sometimes aroma installer freezes when you hit the back button.
@@BIGMACMCDONALDLEE Hi Max I just wanted to let you know that flashing magisk 17.3 on TWRP (from XDA for N9600) was successful. I'm using SM-N9600 Snapdragon Note 9 (Hong Kong). Great stuff - your vids. It's my go to resource for anything android. Although if I may point out Step # 5 in your written tutorial should say hold "volume down and bixby buttton together" instead of volume down and power buttons so it will follow the steps as you mention them in the video. Subscribed.
@@michaelflorentino4920 hi Michael, I second this. Just flashing magisks 18.0 will do the trick. No no need for any additional flashes. Just make sure to format data wipe.
Can you restore phone storage data using samsung's onboard backup app?
