I wanted so badly to go to this event, but sadly I had nowhere near enough money to make the trip. Thanks for showing us around, at least. Apart from the fighting through crowds (which I don't do well with) this looks like paradise.
Couldn’t listen to it live, was with my club in the woods, making shavings. But never listen to it. I dream to fly from England to walk round that in touch and probably spend a small fortune on a lot of tools, which you can get loads of over there and we can only dream of over here definitely one trip for the bucket list
Amazing! really good to see! so much like an aussie country show! Thanks for the effort you put into showing how hand tool works is absoloutely catching on and well done to to the Aussie hand tool makers! OI OI OI!!
This was a great weekend! A lot of fun. Konrad Sauer was a really interesting fella to talk to and makes a plane that’s more beautiful than anything I would make with it.
I was there on Friday morning when the Chairmakers Tookbox was prepping those logs in the back to make broom handles. Great stuff, and lots of it, all around. I did see yours and Rex's Meet and Greet signs posted all over, but sadly, had to be somewhere in the afternoon. Hopefully, good beer was had by all. By the way, that Greenwood Barn area is greatly expanded over the previous Handworks.
I can't believe I missed such a major part of the event! I started at the Festhalle and made it to the furniture shop and left. I thought I'd seen the whole thing. 😢
Great walk-through I loved it. Can you also provided websites/emails for some of the vendors you highlighted? Or is the a list of vendors on an event website?
Looks like a great show and experience, pity I would never be able to afford the trip, airfares "might" be do able to the States but the internal flights and accom would kill me. Question: do you have the stones to buy a hand made broom and take it home for Sarah?
@WoodbyWright: Ive searched the internet high and low/ near and far and I can find no info about Handworks 2024. I would like to attend this year, but need to know how to plan ahead. Do you know where I can find info?
Thanks so much for taking the time to show us around, James!

Thanks, James. It was great to see you and say hello. I can't believe I completely missed Lake Erie tools and I wanted to buy a new iron for my #5.
Thx for showing us around.

Yes. They had to move a bunch of things out of the buildings that are now a hotel. So they put up tents for it instead.
Hi James.
Perfect Fathers Day present!
(3rd September here in New Zealand).
Some of those Porsches belong to the Abraham brothers who have Benchcrafted.

Oh no!
Wish they had this in India as well😆😔. Sadly we don't get quality or vintage tools at all. So, it's really hard for aspiring woodworkers.
I would love to find good tool resources in india. So far I haven't found any.
13:02 that's the back of my head!
I spotted the back of my head in there as well
You just had to show BadAxe tools been wanting one of the dovetail saws lol

Not enough women in woodworking
There are a lot more today then there use to be. Even 10 years ago.
