- Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang on the TV series "Smallville", participated in a Q&A panel yesterday during the 2024 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois.
Kristin talks about playing Lana Lang, whether she was happy with the way her character's arc ended, while also answering questions from Superman fans in the audience.

Didn’t you listen to her towards the end of the interview? She said people think they know celebrities deeply from what they say online.
Don’t do that.
You don’t know her. Just because she shows up at some convention, smiles, chit chats and signs photos, or gives interviews that sound intelligent, don’t presume that what she says is anything deep or true about her, even if they’re positive things. She could change her opinion like it was just her fart in the wind. Then those assumptions can turn into anger and become destructive - but it’s only your fault and never hers for presenting a facade that isn’t real.🙄
For example, she once said she would never date anyone in the industry. Yet, she’s only dated people in the industry. She also said that her Asian heritage is important to her, but she doesn’t follow any Asian religion, culture, social norms, etc., e.g., early marriage, nuclear family, children, etc., and she’s only ever dated white guys who she lives with and isn’t married to. So, I’m not sure where these integrity claims people keep making up about her are ever actualized. She seems flaky, noncommittal, and changes her mind a lot.🙄
In fact, not being honest and straightforward and wasting someone’s time due to it is about as destructive as you can get.
She’s an actress after all. They get paid to play make believe for a living.
If you think she's a bad person then why are you keeping up with her life and watching her interviews? Weirdo behavior... And last time I checked people are allowed to change their opinion, it's called evolving. Also who she chooses to date is non of our business and irrelevant.

Hmm…that seems a *wee bit* one sided.
But perhaps I’m not evolved enough.
Maybe I should’ve joined a cult too and then I could’ve been part of such an evolved clique.
Or perhaps it’s because I’m not a beauty (who *always* gets the benefit of the doubt whether she’s in the wrong or not) but a beast, and fairy tales only happen in make believe.

I said she’s flaky, noncommittal, opportunistic, and changes her mind a lot.
Also, she’s a *public* person. She puts herself out there so commenting on anything like this is fair game. Weirdo behavior is stalking her if she’s a private personality.
I got to meet her for 2023 fan x. Was amazing. So caring and kind toward all the people she signed for. Also in the panel with all the characters of smallville at fanx she was so poised and professional. Such an amazing role model.
She handled these questions with grace, very smart.
I love that Kristin has become so comfortable doing these things now. She seems to be in a great place, and had a lot of fun answers. Kinda cringing at the guy who asked about Allison Mack, though. She handled it well.
I noticed that too about her! She was a little more timid and shy in a panel back in 2019 with Tom & Michael. She’s definitely more confident now
Why are you cringing? It’s a perfectly valid question. Kristin and Allison Mack were BFF and she brought Allison into the cult and then left the cult and Allison. Allison then got into trouble and lost her career. Had she never met Kristin or listened to her to join the cult, she wouldn’t have gone to jail and would still be working as an actor.
@@ScarredRomeo It's tacky. There have been dozens of panels for Smallville since Allison's arrest, and this is the first one I've ever seen where someone lacked class enough to ask Kristin to her face. (Kristin, btw, got out before the cult got as weird as it ultimately did, and I truly believe her when she's said that.)
You also have no idea of what Allison would or would not have done if Kristin were not part of the equation.

@@thecraigbyrneYeah, but why would the person asking the question care if there have been dozens of panels if this is the first one she went to? And perhaps other panels requested that people don’t ask her about Allison or NXIVM but this one did not.
Of course I wouldn’t know what Allison would or wouldn’t have done had she not met someone. So? Neither do you. There’s no equal probability in either notion that she may or may not have joined based on nothing but speculation of what could’ve happened. That’s not what holds any weight.
What I do know holds weight is that what actually did happen to Allison was causally related to Kristin.
She is even more beautiful. Damn.

I'm in love with Kristin, she's amazing and knows the character very well. I love Lana too. She was sweet but also strong. I'll always love her. I realize that she had a redemption. I was 1 year old when the show started, but I watched Smallville when I was 6 years old. Now I'm 24 and watching it again. I always wanted to know what happened to Lana during that tornado 😅
13:40 I always knew Kristin and Erica, lana and lois strange that all 5 characters that’s also Luthor’s have the LLs 😂became friends and known Clark’s love interests❤️ and no jealous cat fight over him, thank goodness😂

4:59 only it’s weird idea having to do a vampire episode narration by Chloe which was terrible written👎 than the spell episode but also along with James marsters added in as brainiac🤖 appeared who’s known for as Spike👱🏻🧛🏻♂️ (despite saying no such thing) which I did not expected when the guest starring credits on S5 E1 which got the part too appear after Buffy/Angel’s series ended just in 2004 was just😶?! I mean what?!🤷🏻♂️😮 plus the vampires on the Buffyverse had such quality visual effects of halloweenish horror🎃 with bat creature🦇 in a change face form than this one, just regular bland fangs not so fear but out of playboy club

Because she was in NXIVM for seven years, which was most of her twenties.
Cause Allison was included and only got involved wrong way
