- Tony and Newt review End of Days and talk about why its trash. In this Podcast / Movie Review of End of Days they will talk about Arnolds being a total miscast, the devils inconsistent powers, and the dumbest 666 and 1999 connection ever.
On December 28th, 1999, the citizens of New York City are getting ready for the turn of the millennium. However, the Devil (Gabriel Bryne) decides to crash the party by coming to the city, inhabiting a man's body, and searching for his chosen bride, a 20-year-old woman named Christine York(Robin Tunney). If he bears her child between 11:00 PM and midnight on New Year's Eve, the world will end, and the only hope lies within an atheist ex-cop named Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who no longer believes in God because of the murder of his wife and daughter.

Not sure if this was ever addressed but...DO NOT TOUCH THE THIRD RAIL! i grew up in NYC, there are signs everywhere not to do it, during an emergency they tell you to stay in the train because of the 3rd rail, there's even a video where a homeless man jumped on the tracks (he was mentally ill) people were trying to get him back on the platform and he touched the third rail and fried himself.
In my memory this was a awesome movie hahaha. I am 37 now and I am afraid to re-watch this movie now 🤣 greetings from the Netherlands. Still so happy you went on with this format... I need this audio online as a podcast 😁

That was a solid flick to my surprise
This flick was promoted heavily on WWF Smackdown, where Schwarzenegger was given a championship belt proclaiming him the undisputed box office champion. This was during the Survivor Series time frame shortly after Chris Jericho debuted.

I had a local drive-in theater about about a mile from my house. When this came out I went to see it 5 day's straight , ( not because I liked it )but I had a video camera. So my cousin and I did a mystery science theater type video for it because it was one of the worst movies ever made . I still have it . Side note : did the same for Collateral Damage.
His full name was Jericho Kane and it was actually admitted to be directly WWE related.

This is actually one of my favorite apocalypse films. There's a lot more to the story than you give credit, IMHO, and as you both point out the cast is phenomenal

Do they not get that Arnold's character used to work with the other cops? That's why they're not giving him a hard time. Also, if the devil set the skateboarder on fire, that would have been too much attention. The devil is taking souls. That's why the cops do nothing when the Priest dies.

Jurassic Park III is def a favourite of mine too hey. I remember when the DVD was released and that silver shiny cover and yeh was sik, the Terrordactyls part was cool and it just seemed a bit darker than the others I reckon. It's a fun, dumb movie. It's worth watching once, at least. And it's better than the recent Terminator movies.

This movie is dark and depressing, but I don't think it's trash.

the third rail is real but might not be where you think it is, sometimes it is in the middle of the track so it is the rail after the two rails the subway goes on hence third rail but sometimes it is the first rail(right side at 13:16) but maybe under the physical platform where people wait so you would never touch it

Worked for the rail road even though dealing with and working around freight/diesel powered trains it has been a while but I'm damn near certain that the 3rd rail doesn't constantly have current they track all those passenger trains and switches for tracks that unless it is an active rail with a train in route. Also you have to complete the circuit so unless you ground yourself

It’s not a hard competition of what someone would rather watch. If you wanna watch an Arnold,Devito Comedy,Watch twins, Otherwise you enjoy watching crap

Wow I kept thinking why the hell does Robin Tunney look so familiar to me. And I just finally was able to realize she's the actress who plays the lead female character in the show the Mentalist which is the only cop drama type series that I have ever been able to watch from start to finish. I mean idk if Gotham also counts as a Cop Drama seeing how it follows Gordon and the GCPD but is more of a comic book series in my opinion.
The screen writer and direct of End of Days must of been Resident Evil fans. Rocket launchers trumps all in RE games. haha
