Yeah like you say if it's to low it's a scam. And the other thing don't send money go and view the bike ask for an address to view, you won't get one because there is no bike.

Mate, if the car was parked in the shade always, the headlights would not have to have resto work needed! Second hand cars anywhere always have a story, especially Thailand! Funny when one sells one's car you hope to find a sucker buyer, but when you buy a second hand car you look for a deal! First question to ask is why the seller is selling - "They don't need a car anymore" doesn't quite cut it, as there is always a reason they sell it. Best to buy new and be the first in the chain!

You can't trust anyone selling any used car or motorbike, 'dealer' or private! Too many scammers... Always look in person and never transfer money until day of handover (unless it's brand new from a dealer)

What amazes me as far as used motorbikes on FB marketplace is the asking prices , the overwhelming majority of two year old bikes with 10 to 15,000 kilometers are for sale for almost as much as what they are asking for brand new ones , are people actually getting the prices that they are asking ( high 80’s thousand baht for two year old scoots ) when you can buy a brand new 2025 for 99,000 baht ?

The Click is a Drum brake rear yes they all should be Disc brakes for sure selling the ADV pity indeed but u do what you have to do jason.

When ever I see what looks like something’s a great deal and too good to be true I look up at the top and see how long it’s been for sale and if it says anything over a couple days I know it’s a scam , I found a Honda generator for sale once very cheap and the ad had just come online so I messaged the guy and said , I’d like to come by this evening and buy it , he said ok you can come by tonight but you’ll have to send me a deposit I’m getting multiple inquiries , I said that I’m not sending a deposit but I actually live very close by so I’ll just swing by this evening and if you still have it I’ll buy it and I asked for the address,.. about twenty minutes later he replied back “ I’m out of town and I won’t be back until Monday so you’ll need to send me a deposit “ the scammers are everywhere, it’s sad

Hi Geoff, fairly easy - just need a residency certificate from immigration, a sale contract and the blue book plus 2 signed copies of your passport. Alternatively there are agents that can do it for you but you still need to give them a residency certificate and copies of your passport

Sounds the same as Vietnam. I live here and I wanted to buy the former Swedish Ambassadors 1996 Volvo 960. I used to run them, and Jags up to 96, and you won't get Jag here for sensible money. I chatted and arranged my flight to Saigon. As I drove around the corner, toward the address, I saw a navy blue 960 being washed...I thought, there cant be 2? I was right of course, the bloody arse was a 'last minute Mark.' I arrived at the house, no car, it was the car I was waiting for. I hit the roof, 2 weeks of prep, I got up at 6am to get the plane, and the &unt couldn't even have the car ready. I hot tailed it to the car wash, sat in what was a disaster, then walked away. Mega pissed off! The Vn's cannot look after cars. The Thais seem to do a bit better at respecting classics.
It's a pity they muck ppl about and lie so much though. Especially when they value their faces so much. It rather makes a mockery of the spiritual bs.

Picked up a Mazda CX30 couple of years ago, 400k milage and 3 weeks old at a used car dealership in BKK, top of the range saved 240,000 of new car price, at the time I had ordered a brand new Honda Civic and three months later they pulled the date of delivery this was end of corvid, went to the local coffee shop sat down started looking in the car app 3rd car I looked at was the Mazda, a phone call and two hours later owned it, and yea Honda gave me back my deposit.

Hi Jason and Su. It's sad that anyone has to go through any type of scam. It sucks more when it happens to someone you know. I would say you got off fairly light compared to some of the nightmare stories that sadly come from such a beautiful country. The scammers are a small percentage of Thailand. The good far outweighs the bad in Thailand. Scams can happen anywhere so it is not only exclusive to Thailand. I am glad you got your new car and that should definitely be an upgrade from the little white car haha. I wish more happiness for you and Su in the future. Yes scammers are in every country and I certainly don’t think anything negative about Thailand and I really should have known better but as I said to Su, if it helped his family then okay but if he is a professional scammer then what goes around comes around.
The CRV is a cracking car and absolute credit to the previous owner, it really is that good and you know how fussy I am. Bought a DA buff and some menzerna polish and will give it a good once over, might video that!!

Honda CRV is such a solid car. Good choice, congrats! We had one a decade ago, seeing it again, make me miss it.. We named her Sophie. But yours is probably a Maxey 😂 I`m sorry you got scammed. As a Thai, I feel awful about that. But I guess there are scammers everywhere in the world. At least Lilly is not a scam, how sweet to see her sleeping in the back of the Jazz 🤗🤗

Pity got scammed but old saying if it’s too good to be true then it is a scam…as that scammer guy prob doing it again with others…at least managed to get yourself the CRV but bad color in that heat there…gotta be white or silver. Good choice in the Click 160….although it’s cost you 6000bt more…i would look at PCX or ADV 160 for my mbike when I’m settled in there. 🧐😉😎
