btw, the HOME, I would suspect is suppose to stand for Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie. A name in reference to the lakes, Minus Superior. That's my best guess as to a possible explanation, as HOMES is a way kids are taught to memorize the lakes.

Just incase this isnt some joke I am not understanding, no he didn't predict it. CK2 has china as an off map empire. And in this mod's case its brazil.
Often times the CK2 converter will take the name of the Dynasty and apply it to Ming. Pretty easy to end with a Yuen or Jin Dynasty in base game. China just converted with Brazil as the Dynasty name. For lore purposes there may have been Dynastic ties between the two here.

@@sonofares9373 Nobody forgets, it's just that those states weren't as heavily settled by the Nords as Minnesota was, which I assume you're talking about that and not talking about the winter weather. Almost everyone in Minnesota has Scandinavian heritage while Wyoming, the Dakotas, etc. are mainly cowboy descendants (which were a range of different people, as you know)

@@sonofares9373 Yeah I've been to Idaho during the winter and it's fucked. Several backcountry roads to get to my dad's ranch were closed because there was too much snow. A lot of the snow in the mountains around his house was so deep you could sink fully into it. In northeastern Minnesota I don't think I've ever sunk into snow that was above my head, maybe chest high after an intense snowstorm; right now it's waist high

First for assuming without any supporting evidence, then about the criteria on which I chose the comments to answer to. I've chosen to answer to the comments mentioning _"the strongest nation in Africa is Rwanda"_ (or simply mentioning _"Rwanda"_ in this very specific context) since it wasn't true. Not only because Morocco was ahead, but also because Madagascar was ahead too. That was actually the entire point of my comments.

Well this is an unconventional megacampaign.
Drew, everything in AOC2 is customizable, from entirely custom maps to custom nations and custom names. In-game you can click in a nation, and click in its name to rename it. You can also change the nation's color trough the same nation menu.

The name "Grandgelander" is pronounced "Grange-lander". It's an appropriate name for a Great Plains-based nation, as the word "grange" (rhymes with "range") means "farm" or "farmland".

For the record, the Haida nation you kept saying was from Alaska, are from an island in between Vancouver Island and Alaska. It is home to the Haida Indians. There's your brief geography lesson.

I have played AoC2 for dozens of hours, and if you play too long in a single savegame i swear to god the bordergore is horrible, countries switch places, ai goes completely broke and colonial empire's are sometimes unable to end a war because there is a single island somewhere in the middle of who knows where so they wil not accept any truce, meaning they do not get to annex the land and are left with almost no recruitable population. If you just invest every turn as a small island nation and skip 1000 turns you wil probally be number one on the scoreboard by doing nothing
I did a few timelapses and I realiazed that AI isn't sometimes moving their troops, and I know that the reason isn't running out of moving points. Once I saw Turkey that managed to land on Irelad, they weren't at any other war, they stayed in one provinces to the time when Ireland managed to make enought troops to kick them out of island. Also Ai is terrible at multi-front wars and often it isn't able to cower all fronts.
But about bordegore, if you want to grab as much as you can, it will surely make terrible bordegore.
I am honestly responsible for one of the most terrible bordegores.
I grabed only the most valuable US provinces as Australia, so there were Australian provinces in the middle of the USA
Grandgelander empire was formed by Chicago land. This is the first time that Chicago or Illinois has ever done well on Drew's channel
Pretty certain that Chicagoland and Grangeland were formed by Iowa
Almost positive it was Iowa expanding into Chicago and splitting into two kingdoms for a while. Iowa almost always becomes the most powerful Catholic Power in AtE.

20:10 Drew you can go into the editor of aoc2, choose civilization editor and make new ones. Once you do that you just have to go on your map, select add civilization and if gives an entire list of countries including ones you made.

FYI... there is a mod for EU4 called long after the end that is supposed to be used for stuff like this, and accepts conversions from ck2 after the end.

The Haida are a native american group from Haida Gwaii, in there language, or Queen Charlotte Island which is a island that's off the coast of British Colombia. There isn't very many of them today, but because of the isolation of their island they survived whatever the end was pretty well. Around 100 years ago before the start of After the End, if I remember correctly, they invade the Vancouver area.
The next update for After the End is suppose to add the island where they came from and a little bit of Alaska.

We’re Norse probably because we have the largest concentration of Scandinavians outside of Scandinavia.
In the lore of the mod, I believe it’s because of the Viking themed sports teams in the area. A lot of faiths and dynasties are based off of pop culture before the apocalypse, like “The Mouse” in Florida ruled by the Waltney dynasty.
